'Sankraman, TV's biggest studio, is haunt

One actress, who did not wish to be named, said, "The place gets spooky at night. I once had an incident when I had finished my shoot and was returning home — my car refused to start; I had recently replaced the battery, so there was no way it was dead. It started after five minutes, and I reached home safely.

The next day, unit boys told me that the spot where I had parked my car was haunted, and everyone who parked their car there had problems starting it. I checked with my co stars, and they too had had similar experiences."

Abhay Vakil, who worked as Parth in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, said, "I have also heard that Sankraman is haunted.

One time, on the Kahaani set, we had a huge commotion and the shooting was stopped because a junior artist was apparently possessed by a spirit." Narayani Shastri (Taashu of Kkusum) also says she's heard some spooky tales about the place. "I haven't experienced anything personally; others have told me odd tales about the place."

Creative head of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Sandeep Sickand, denies hearing or experiencing anything out of the ordinary. "As an actor, I have shot full nights at Sankraman and never come across such stuff. I think it's pure nonsense."

A make-up artist who works on one of the shows said, "The actors are not as scared as the actresses.

In fact, a certain actress from Kasautii Zindagi Kay is very afraid of the dark and refuses to venture out late at night without an escort. I have heard that some spots in Sankraman are haunted, not the whole place. It is a jungle area and one can get lost if one ventures too far from the sets."

Said Tina Parakh, who plays Shruti in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, "I haven't heard anything of this sort about Sankraman."

Another actor who works on the same show jokingly said, "The only thing that haunts Sankraman are the actors who do more than one daily soap. You will find them walking around the compound haunting it late in the night!"
