It is only in here that I learnt about her. While in India I didn't notice that there was a Indian with European ethnicity on the helm of the country's power.

Most of you post saying that you are living or were born in some western or developed country, with only your roots from India. Don't you stand up for your right and social status as an equal citizen of that country? If so, your answer lays there.

I don't know what came to the mind of Sonia or Antonia to take this title of her in laws empire. But with all the little I read about her, it seems she is a strong catholic duty-bound wife and believes she is doing it for her husband's soul.

I hope she finds peace. I think it is natural that she will look European and have contact with Europe. If you think it is unnatural or something oddly around it, I just don't have words then!

I am still in amazement how could a woman like Indira move away from Menika and become so attached with Sonia Gandhi? Sonia never wanted her husband or herself to be into politics of India - it is a known fact. Menika was more interested to lead her country and rightfully so. But Indira the vamp was always against manika and totally devoted to this Sonia? It is too confusing for me.

To me politicians should be evaluated on how they do their job, not their race, name, ethnicity etc.

If people criticize Sonia Gandhi for being an incompetent leader, a corrupt leader and not working towards India's growth, then that is legitimate.

If criticize her because she is Italian, has a foreign name and is an immigrant, then it is racist and xenophobic and completely unacceptable.
