Something has always been making me think. Masala films have always been hugely successful at the box office, but what has always made me wonder is that how on earth did Main Hoon Na not reach "Blockbuster" status in India? Yes, the film did have a high price and the film was a hit in India, but it had potential (in my opnion) of reaching Blockbuster status because of how good and entertaining the film was, yet it was only a Hit.

I was not knowledgeable about box office back in 2004, and neither did i know about how the word of mouth/audience reaction was for films in India as I don't live in India. Taran says the film had mixed audience reaction, while BOI said the audience reaction was excellent. What's the real picture? Discuss!

i am not sure, but pre 2007 i don't actually remember actors promoting their movies as much as they do now or maybe i was just to young, things were just different then (media?)...my family would just wait until the movie came out in dvd and it was only in 2007 (oso) that i started to watch movies in cinemas...
