PV story going exactly along lines of an English movie?
When I saw how mad this Yash is and how the psychiatric help track has to start now, I suddenly remembered another movie I have seen (an English movie starring the actress Minnie Driver).
In that story the man is in the similar situation to Yash. He dotes on his wife who died in a car accident, and he then keeps the house like a museum in her memory. Another girl enters his life and falls in love with him, but he does not reciprocate.
One day the man has some accident while climbing some building ladder and he falls and hurts his head. He then starts behaving very mad after that so the doctors advise psychiatric help. During that psychotherapy sessions it becomes suddenly revealed that the man actually is trying to hide from a very big secret in his life.
Actually his first wife had left him for another lover and in that process of running away she had died in the car accident. The man was having selective amnesia. He wanted to remember his wife and the fact that he loved her. But he was avoiding remembering that his wife was unfaithful.
The psychiatrist finds out this during a hypnosis therapy session. The psychiatrist also finds out that the greatest issue for that man is that he not only hates his wife secretly (while acting obsessed with her memories on the outside) but his deepest hatred is of himself.
He feels that he has not been man enough for his wife and that somehow because of his own inability to satisfy his wife only she started cheating him. So in a way, the real reason for his outer obsession and inner hatred of his former wife was because of self-hatred to a very great degree.
The psychiatrist then tells the man that he has to face the fact that the wife he doted on was cheating him and he should try to remember the bad parts of his earlier life. The man however keeps resisting this truth. One day, however, he blurts out in his psychotherapy session all the hatred he feels for his first wife for cheating him, he then becomes healed and later marries the new girl in his life.
(Incidentally this movie had an extra twist. This second girl was the recipient of a heart transplant of the first wife's heart and that is how she comes in contact with this man' but that is an extra twist, we needn't worry about).
I suddenly remembered this movie, because from Friday the PV story also seems to be going in the same way. Even though Yash seems to desperately cling to Arpita' memories, and he is pissed off with Aarti for destroying everything by switching on the geyser, still he himself is also destroying Arpita photos in Bhopal. So there is some kind of love-hate issue with Arpita.
Could it be that Yash has some kind of overt love for Arpita but he is hiding actually from some ugly truth about Arpita which he is unable to face? That could explain why he is acting overly obsessed with her memories, because if it was a normal grief after her death, he would not be so obsessed in preserving her memories, nor would he be so angry of the erasing of the memories by Aarti. And besides, he would not himself try to save those memories as well as also destroy those memories?
I feel sure that if the Mittals have risked the psychiatry track there must be some very important reason. And some big secret of the past may be revealed in these psychotherapy sessions. Maybe then the psychiatrist will tell the family that having Aarti in Yash's life will actually help him heal and so Aarti should not be separated from Yash?
Also I have a feeling (and it's also the unwritten rule of most Indian TV serials) that unless Yash falls out of love with Arpita he cannot readily fall in love with Aarti. So the psychotherapy-revealing of the murky secret of Arpita's misdeeds may have to come first before Yash becomes healed and ready to accept and acknowledge his love for Aarti!

My episode analysis
I am going to keep my analysis short. I've already written a lot above.
I think today's episode was mostly for setting a context for the BIG REVEAL by Yash of what is ailing him. Clearly there was a lot of drama at the hospital, especially in the scene where Aarti confronts him. Some things that I want to highlight in today's episode are:
1. In all this hungama, it looks like the Casanova is not entirely against Aarti, even though he is bewildered by what is happening to Yash. I trust him to do the right thing and to get Yash to have the best psychiatric treatment they can afford. And I trust him to do the right thing by Aarti also. He cannot let Gayatri walk all over Aarti, whatever the angst she has about her son's condition.
2. The rest of the family, especially Gayatri (and the Bua) still seem unable to handle the effect that seeing Aarti has on Yash. The melodrama I expect to continue and I think Aarti is going to continue to be at the receiving end of the ire of Gayatri and the venom of the Bua for many more episodes. I wish however that Aarti would stop crying. It gets on my nerves that she is losing all self-confidence and has nothing to hold herself by.
3. The Yash-Aarti interface today was very revealing. He clearly told her there is no "prayaschith" for what she has done - and also since he cannot punish her he is going to give the sazaa to himself. In the precap another revealing bit comes from Yash during the hypno-therapy. He says "Why have you given me dhoka, Aartiji?"
This suggests to me that perhaps there was yet another scene in Mumbai (not just the fire and burning of Arpita photos) which Aarti has forgotten. Here I am wondering if the entry of the new character Aman has anything to do with it. Could Aarti have met an old friend called Aman in Mumbai and could this have caused Yash to think she has betrayed him by getting too cozy with this Aman?
Incidentally, Jyoti suggested to me that this new character Aman who may make an entry now as the friend of Aarti may actually be the psychiatrist ' but the precap today sugests that the psychiatrist is not this new character.
I am therefore wondering if this Aman was someone who accidentally came across Aarti in Mumbai, much to the dislike of Yash? But even assuming Yash is already in love with Aarti, would he feel as if she is giving him dhoka by mingling with an old friend? Seems too far-fetched!
Or is Yash referring to some other dhoka by Aarti? Or after seeing Aman, is Yash thinking Aarti will give him dhoka just like Aarpita did (if that is indeed the murky back story of Arpita that she had another lover)?
Maybe I am still not on the right track, the mystery is eating me up!
