Nethra Raghuraman

Model-turned-actress Nethra Raghuraman enters Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (Sony) to serve as a catalyst for Jassi's makeover.

Though the date of the metamorphosis is under wraps, Raghuraman's special appearance in this daily soap is a run-up to its high point — the transformation of Jassi.

Interestingly, Raghuraman plays herself on the show. "I am Nethra Raghuraman, the model, in the show. In fact, they have referred to me as Nethra, the supermodel."

Raghuraman began shooting for the serial on Tuesday.

"It's a special entry. I have shot for the portions where I enter Gulmohar House (the fashion house where the soap unfolds) with the bunch of secretaries and Maddy (Rajesh Khera) taking me around," she says. "I still have to shoot the scenes with Jassi."

Her arrival in Jassi is slated to go on air from Monday. Raghuraman is expected to be in the track for a couple of episodes.

Incidentally, she joins Mandira Bedi and Sandhya Mridul — actors who have made special appearances in Jassi.

On the small screen, Raghuraman anchors the lifestyle show Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai on Star One while on the film front, she will be seen in Raj Bharat's Tum Ho Na opposite Jackie Shroff and in Rishi Jena's Kafan based on Munshi Premchand's classic literary piece along with Rajpal Yadav and Sadhu Meher. She has also been signed for Imtiaz Khan's Husn.

HMMMM intresting i knew they were going to introduce a new charecter soner or later didnt know it was going to be a model though very intresting thanks Jammy

I dont know, But this not according to original track!! Arundhati(catalina) was supposed to give jassi a makeover!!! Actually Cata was more attached to betty because of her friendship with jassi for a long time. But the fast track that T & D have taken !! It wont be suprising if Nethra hugs, kisses and licks jassi on the same day and they become childhood buddies!! 😆😆

Just when I was about to stop watching the show and say its enough!! the babe factor is working against me !!! 😆😆😆

It will be more intresting to see if this new babe will be able to stop me from quit watching the show.

Haa theek hai naa, May be she'll play the role of Cata, everything is happening so fast in jassi, may be she'll become jassi's friend in one episode, and change her off in two episodes.

BUT tell me one thing, will she take jassi again to Alibag ????

Corrections... according to the original track Vasundhra (Anuradha Patel) is Catalina. But they did not show Vasu after that sasta fabric fashion show.There was no character as Arundhati or Yana or hansmukhi or Sheetal... bla bla...

Thanks for the info Jammy.It's quite understood that after veering so moronishly off the track,getting back intact is impossible.So I guess they have to do away with few more characters.Anyway we never did see any longterm friendship develop between Jassi and Arundhati so if they met again it would look equally stupid if they met,hugged,kissed licked and became childhood buddies😉.So they as well introduce someone new.& who better to guide than a model??

I wonder why they choose her. She is so naive about everything and does not make any sense. I would have thought Arundati or even mallika to that matter because she realizes how bad she is and wants to improve....
or may be maddy....
