I'm not convinced...much 🤔
First, I am not comparing Kiya to Panchi and KiSha to PanSh. The equations KD shares with these two girls is completely different. Heck, the equation he shares with everyone is different! Yeah, he does apparently seem "neutral" with them but he is not that neutral to Samar. He has had this biting sharp edge to his voice whenever he talked to Samar. Now it's Samar's character itself which has such high level of tolerance. Else, the way that KD has talked to Samar before, it wouldn't be a surprise if Samar disliked KD.
I think Piddi is the only friend that KD has. With everyone else, he is his usual rude self which might be a mask or could be the reality. That's not the argument here. The point that I put forward was, why only Panchi? Why this sudden change of attitude in himself when he was in front of her? Unless I've judged him wrong, KD is not the kind of person who takes advices and suggestions from anyone. He has made his own rules, he lives by his own terms.
You said I read too much? But that obedient nod at the end was the exact thing that made my brain go in super-fast maniac mode. KD and obedient? KD and nodding? KD and approving of anyone else' advice? What could've happened, and that would've made a less maniac effect on me, is that KD would've silently listened and didn't comment. Then, when all was clear he would've gone on and did whatever he wanted be it apologize or thank. That seems more like his character who doesn't take "ehsaan" from anyone. But he didn't do that. He actually muttered an "Ok" to assure her that he would what she wants him to do.
People like KD become irritated when their mistakes are being pointed out to them. He knew he was dumb? Fine, but isn't that against his whole personality to actually let anyone call him that? He knew he should be grateful? Fine, but does he need it to be spelled it out to him? Isn't he smart enough to do the right thing himself? He was upset with JJ's behavior? For argument's sake, fine he was (though he looked more pissed) but that wouldn't have ever, ever made him go all soft on JJ. Yeah, he gave in to her insistence. But that's the whole point! He actually gave in!!!
Don't tell me I am wrong to go crazy and am judging too much! The entire character of KD that has been shaped in my mind was totally flipped in that moment! I have every right to go crazy! 😳
And I really don't like the sister argument here. A guy and a girl necessarily don't have to be siblings or be attracted to each other to share a special bond. That's the case with PanSh. I literally hate the thought of them as being siblings. She is not his mentor, he is not sworn to protect her. There are no rules between them. And that, for me, makes them special. She can scold him and get away with it. He doesn't even look her in the eyes and yet can be so easily influenced by her words. Yeah, it's as you said this is respect and adoration.
Isn't it just wonderful how he only has this respect and adoration just for her and no one else? 😳
