And let me just say, it was just as beautiful as I thought it would be 😍 I'm using this emoticon a lot 😆 But I really don't have a replacement emoticon for all these deep, wonderful sighs that I am breathing 😳
It was started so abruptly, her calling him dumb and he just looked at her. In a totally different way. Like he knew that it was just a momentary phase for her and that she was saying all this due to concern rather than real anger. Yeah, she was a bit harsh. She was angry. But there was no sharp retort on his lips. He just looked at her, as if waiting for her next words. Oh yeah, there was no softness in his eyes. They were the usual stern self but that little look of annoyance wasn't there one has when one is being lectured.
She asked him to apologize. He refused. And he should, he never apologizes. Some rules are never bent or broken. And that moment, her tone calmed down. The anger which was there, disappeared. If not an apology, maybe a thanks? After all he was saved. And that, struck the heart. He would've let all the things slide, not even bothered to think about the incident. But a calm voice of logic actually made him think. For a second, he thought before just looking at her and nodding an ok.
He prepared to leave, she told him his destination. He was all ears but didn't say a word. And just then there was a little scared look on her face as if she was worried that she might cross some invisible boundary. But he was ignoring her...
"Ho sake tou sorry bhi bol dena."

Damn, it was just a second. It was just an exchange of silent look. Her, scared and worried. Him, slightly taken aback. Was she still on that apology track? He thought he had made this clear that he won't apologize. That topic was over. But it wasn't.
Because that is her. Always concerned for everyone. Masked behind her anger, there lies only genuine concern. And maybe he knew it. He didn't say anything or react in any way. Like rolling his eyes or anything like that to disrespect her concern. He just looked at her in a slightly admiring way that this girl is standing her ground with him. Actually making him do what she wants him to do because that's the right, obedient way. He is by no means obedient but I believe, he might've apologized if he had been given the chance.
After all, not everyone can have the same effect on him 😉
