hi everyone Shiv-Parvati marriage is considered to be the mother of all the other marriages an ideal one and is the basis for all the other marriages occuring in india but when we compare the marriage rituals they are totally different in different parts of the country...i m from karnataka in kannada marriages the couple never sit down there is a white cloth seperating the bride and groom and all the rituals are done standing...the stress in mostly on mangal sutra and kumkum on forehead is never considered imp...also there many more rituals which were not shown in the seriel.. my opinion is that as the evolution of marriage happend people must have made some minute changes over the time and collectively all these changes must have seggregated giving rise to new rituales... so please do share your opinion s and throw a light on rituales which are still followed today initiated in shivji s wedding...
