I really respected the heck out of Karthik and Komal for going and sticking up for Arushi. Honestly, she isn't related to either of them but that didn't stop them from chewing out most of the community for trying to badmouth her. So good for them. What followed in the police station was a joke. The inspector was determined to try Arushi on trumped-up charges which were so ridiculous. As I said in the last post, the guy whose house in which all of this occurred was never brought in and therefore they have no right to hold Arushi. On top of that, noone witnessed any exchange of money between Arushi and the man. ANYONE could have put the money and framed her to look like a business transaction. Did they even bother to take the stack of bills and get it tested for fingerprints? Obviously, Arushi's never would have been on them, making it odd should someone claim it was hers. Even the contraceptives could have been sent to a forensics lab and it would have been clean of her prints. And as for the police officer, the comment that she can't arrest a man is completely garbage. If she can't take the man into custody, then why the woman? Any Womens Rights Organization would have a field day with that. If Karthik and Pratigya didn't stand there and argue with the inspector then Arushi would have faced charges for nothing. Of course, if I should run into legal trouble heaven forbid, I would want a lawyer like Pratigya handling my case. The scene with the guy running to Abhimanyu's place is just pathetic. The guy has just ruined an innocent person's life, he can't go home and the last thing on his mind is what Arushi is going through. What is he going to say to the wife when he comes back? He needs to pray the prince and princess do not find him and beat him to a pulp, we know from the maha episode how dangerous the prince can get when he is mad. And no Samar to protect this guy! The father-daughter scene was really touching. The way Professor spoke to his daughter is the way all fathers should speak to their children. Noone could blame Arushi for wanting to give up after all of that harassment, but the way he just used Pratigya as an example and basically said, those who cannot stand up for what is right their lives are a waste was the most eloquent thing I have ever heard the man say. The conversation between the prince and princess was nice as always. Prince exploding because he wasn't there to beat up the neighbor and both of them in the dark about who is behind this. While I know Abhimanyu paid the guy off, let's not forget who is pulling all the strings here and it's not him. Arushi's tears, Krishna's anger, Professor's faintness of heart, can all be traced back to SS. The same SS who wanted to hug the Professor after losing his SIL to a murderer. The final scene in the courtroom is the highlight. Abhimanyu wanted to prove Arushi is a streetwalker, but he couldnt bring in the guy whose house she was arrested in? He had to bring in random men who had a grudge against Arushi, first Shakti, then Sarju's brother and his friend. How silly. When that didn't work, he had to put Pratigya herself on the stand, which is dangerous for him because he knows how protective, or should I say overprotective the prince is of his wife. He was possessive even before marriage, forget about now. I feel somewhat sorry for Abhimanyu because he didn't want to do any of this, he is risking his own career for the love of a man he barely knows. He can't walk out and risk alienating his father like Krishna. I feel bad for Krishna because you know Pratigya is his heart and soul and he doesnt want to see her disgraced in any way. You could tell by his expression that he felt so helpless just sitting in the pews. As for Abhimanyu's question to Pratigya that couldn't she have used karate or martial arts to defend herself, I would think that maybe Sarju could have used it on Arushi to defend himself. But Sarju was too out of shape for that. As for Pratigya, the girl was wearing a sari and so was Arushi, it would have been hard even if she knew any moves to do them. Even if they had beat Sarju up themselves, the men would have come back for revenge because that is all they know. The last part where Arushi is being completely harassed by Abhimanyu's questioning is pathetic. The judge should have stepped in at this point, seeing her state of mind. When Krishna attacked Abhimanyu with the statement about his own mother and SS, it was provoked completely and you could see from the look on his face that his mask fell off. He went from power lawyer to helpless son all over again. I hope Pratigya doesn't tell Krishna off, everyone could see it was Abhimanyu at work here. It was a tame episode compared to the weekend, the dogs, the chair breaking etc, but at least we're getting somewhere in terms of Arushi and her freedom. What Pratigya couldn't do with her defense, Krishna did with his one outburst. Still missing the Krishna Krishna music.
Star of the episode: Professor Saxena, when he declared that those who cannot defend principles by which they live have no meaning at all. Pratigya Singh Thakur, for her argument in the police station. Komal Saxena Singh, defending her SIL.
