It seems she doesn't like Anandi just because she is divorcee...
Agreed that every mother wants best for their sons, but she is not even a mother, she is just an aunt...
Agreed that it is close knit joint family, and she has raised shiv - whatever, but aunt is aunt.. and it is hard to believe that aunt can be this possessive of nephew... Why she is so concerned... While shiv's own mother has no objection
You know what - I often see this in many serials, that people who are not close relative are more concerned then close relatives, for eg: even in Anandi's sister-in-law Sugna's case same thing was shown, her own mother and father-in-law had no problem with her son from previous husband, but her father-in-law's brother (shyam's uncle) was interfering unnecessaryly and had strange dislike for sugna's son... Whenever I saw that track, I just felt, what to him and why don't he mind his own business?
Even Anandi's & Jagya's family is close knit joint family but do you think that Basant and Gehna will show that much right over Anandi or Jagya... I mean that they are well-wishers, they care and love for them, but they don't interfere in Bhairav's family matters and just go with family's decisions, i.e. if other family members had accepted gauri, then I don't think Basant or Gehna had opposed or felt bad about that personally... This is how family should be, love and care should be there, but not possessiveness and useless interference esp. in sibling's, sibling-in-laws, cousin's, niece/nephew's or uncle/aunt's life and also son & daughter's married life... I have the same kind of family, like my uncle aunts cousins, siblings, siblings-in-laws all care but its not like if anyone take any decision and others show objection or dislike, end of the day everyone minds their own business
Why Choti Maa is feeling bad for Shiv is choosing Anandi when she is just an Aunt - I don't understand
