CHAPTER 7
Dirty past and a regretting present…
He woke up when he felt soft hands over his face 'Rosh? What the hell are you doing? Have you lost it?'
She smiled and whispered 'Rosh nahi…Anjali…'
Anjali, who Anjali?
He opened his eyes to see the girl he had brought into his room the previous night smiling at him. He immediately jerked up and screamed 'What the hell are you still doing here?'
The girl was taken aback by his sudden outburst. Why was he speaking like this? She couldn't understand why he was behaving so indifferent. 'What' she asked, clueless.
He was annoyed by that innocent behavior and said 'Oh, now I get it…a posh suite with a sexy man to satisfy, who wouldn't want it! Just get the hell out of my room now…'
Anjali didn't know how to react. She was extremely confused, sitting there on the bed, completely naked and being shouted at by the very man whom she had surrendered herself to the previous night. Tears brimmed her eyes and she managed to choke out 'What do you mean? After all that we shared yesterday, you are telling me to get out! What the hell do you think you are?'
Oh, typical Indian! Maan! Among so many girls, you had to pick this one?
'Oh well, okay, how much? I will pay? What is the price for one night? Buck up!' he asked nonchalantly, shrugging his shoulders.
It was as though someone had slapped her hard across her face. Anjali got another shock. Did he just ask 'what was the price for one night?' Did he think she was a sl*t, a prostitute? For god sake, she wasn't one but yes, she had made a mistake of over drinking and losing her senses. But it didn't mean that she would be thrown out like a trash. 'Mind you mister, I am not a bloody prostitute! You made love to me and you are asking me to get out! I love you and I want to spend my life with you after you made me surrender myself to you!' she screamed.
What made her even angrier was that he burst out laughing at her comment. 'Love? You love me? Oh from how many years…no, not years? How many months? No..no…not even months? How many days? No, wait! How many hours? 1 or 2?'
Anjali couldn't answer…she was mute, covering herself with the quilt. Revulsion hit her hard as she realized the blunder she had committed out of stupidity. She had lost her most prized possession to this man who didn't have a slight amount of apprehension in taking advantage of her. Tears streamed down her eyes and she looked down out of shame and guilt.
'God! The drama now! I mean, when you women are so bothered about the aftermath why the hell do you even fall for us? Well, now that I have had my time, you can leave before I do something even more stupid. This is just between us right now, if you don't move out of here, this might spread across the whole world…mind you!' he warned, his voice quoted with threat and authority.
Having no other way, Anjali stumbled out of the bed covering herself with the quilt and proceeded to pick her clothes up from the ground, sobbing all the while. She left the room after she got dressed and took a last look at her Mr. charming before running away crying.

Roshan came in time to see the girl running away crying and knowing his brother and the reactions of the poor little ladies, it didn't take any genius to work out what had happened. He smirked and entered the room to find his brother wearing his shirt.
'How was it? Had fun?' he asked, his eyes glinting with mischief.
'You bet…' came a tad straight reply. Maan turned towards his brother grinning.
'Must be bad for that poor chick…how many heart breaks do you give them? Poor things…' Rosh smirked.
'Oh well, if they choose to have a heart break then I can't help. After all, we should help women getting what they want…I am just doing my job…' he chuckled, shrugging his shoulders as a matter of fact.
This was the attitude that Rosh adored in his brother. Totally not bothered and carefree. 'Well, thanks to you, I haven't done the packing yet…so mind helping me? We have got a flight to catch. If you are done with your chick entertainment, then concentrate on some serious stuff, will you?
'Yes…will do…come on' he led his brother out to his suite.

Present:
'What happened to that girl?' Neha asked in disgust.
'Well, if the sources are to be believed, then she drowned herself in the water and committed suicide if you ask me…poor chick, bro had left her no other option' Rosh muttered.
'How did Maan bhai react to it?' Dev asked apparently knowing the answer he was about to get.
'Well, let us just say that he forgot who the girl was. Regret was one emotion that I never saw on his face until today…he took me by surprise literally!' Rosh muttered thinking about the reaction of his brother back in the hospital.
'How could he do that to her? I mean is he that heartless?' asked Neha out of sheer fury.
'This was just one girl. There were still many, what do you call "alleged affairs" of him. You could actually write a book on him and his habitual practices. He considered sleeping next to women as a hobby. Geet was the only one who didn't fall for his evil intentions. Glad that she didn't…' Rosh muttered in a glassy tone.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He walked mechanically into his room as though this was the last place he wanted to be in. So much had changed in just a few weeks. A few days back, he was so happy to be in his room, in that place which was redecorated by his love. This place was dipped in her essence, her colours, and her ideas. Everything in here screamed Geet. Geet! The one who made his life worth; yet, now she was the one who regretted for considering him worth. Was he that bad? That bad to not to be loved? Did his presence mean nothing to her? Did she just throw him out of her life like a pesky fly being thrown out of a coffee cup?
But he did break her heart. He did keep her in the dark…anyone would have reacted in the way she did. He deserved her anger, her disgust. But none could deny that he was in love with her and he wasn't going to let her walk on him so easily.
Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply to soak her scent as much as possible. It rejuvenated his senses and filled him with new hopes and energy. It made him stronger to carry on the journey alone. The journey of finding his love, his life…
