Hi,

Yes I'm a Poorvi favourist and this is why I like her most:
Her attitude: 1st time I noticed her was in the Gala round where she had to sing with another contestant. Poorvi sung 'aaj ki raat' extremely well and the other girl tried to follow poorvi's singing in stead of her own. After the criticism of the judges, the girl was putting the guilt on Poorvi in front of the camera. When the cameraman/woman went to Poorvi, she went away not making any comments.
I think especially in such reality shows people want to place themselves in a good light. Poorvi had no guilt for the mistakes of the other girl and easily could say something, but she didnt. Personally I find that a great attitude because that is karma. Don't say much, but just do.
Every time a judge compliment her, she thanks them from the heart, not with great thankful words or kneeling or anything (no comments on that), but just lowering her head and with her hand on her heart, sometimes softly saying thank u ma'm or sir. For me that's Dil se..
Often I see on shows the contestants show great thankfulness and respect for the judges on stage when they get some sort of criticism, but backstage they have their comments on them. Their thinking and act aren't on the same level. With poorvi till date I couldn't find a disbalance. I loved when she wrote herself in the top 3 (by God's grace).
In short, I never saw arrogance or a bad attitude in her.
Best part is her singing (voice) quality: I think every human being has one or more uniqe talent(s). Poorvi went into singing. Its the art of reconising yourself and your voice and then finding the correct style(s) that fits your voice. For example: we all reconice the soft romantic songs sung by Kumar Sanu during the '90s. The more energetic and dynamic (romantic) songs were sung by Udit Narayan. The same genre, but still different styles. From Lataji, Asha, Kishor, Rafi to Sukhwinder Sing, Anuradha, Shreya, Sunidhi, Mohit Chauhan, Adnan Sami and the list goes on, all sing songs that 'fits' their voice. Sure they can sing most types of songs but then it doesn't sound the way if someone would sing it whose voice give the song a better right.
Poorvi has a very strong, deep voice rather than for example Sohini who has a thinner (beautiful) voice. it will be hard for Sohini to sing a rock song and it wouldn't sound that good as Poorvi singing the same. Vice Versa. Would I stop listening or dislike Rahet Fateh songs because he doesn't sing other genres? Ofcourse not!
I would like to hear more of the 'udi udi's' , 'I love you's', dhunki's and meri jaans. Just love the way she sings.
PLease stop the discussions over genres. Music is ONE as Saleem pointed out and just enjoy it!

an absolute true fact and that if you hear her voice in high pitch it doesn't break a rarerity among new generation singers. the first day she sang kurbaan hua in auditions i was sure she is going to be a grt playback singer and if not then definetly a renowned artist in music industry.

😆 Hillarious post... 😆 Poorvi doesn't put others down? Ummm who was criticizing Amit always singing Punjabi songs? 😆 Poorvi is consistently horrible in whichever genre of music she sings... 😆 The simple fact is that Poorvi is only in the competition because of her looks... 😕 She doesn't deserve to be on the same stage as other contestants based on singing alone... 😕 She is not going to do anything memorable in the field of singing... 😛 She is an arrogant amateurish performer who appeals to certain kinds of folks for all the reasons not related to singing... 😛 There is nothing that kids anywhere need to idolize about her... 😉

PS ---- you are free to praise and I am free to criticize... 😛

i agree!! pls she always seems like she is too good to be around all the contestents and judges.. pls she is always making faces whenever judges comment something good about other singers.like she doesnt agree with them or something.. pls this girl needs to be out of the show asap.. this season has been the worst if the producers wants to give decent finale pls kick her out and leave the three guys atleast they can sing and seem like good people..

That's the funny thing. Poorvi recieved most praises that gala for 'meri jaan'. Other contestants made mistakes, but Amit was the only one to comment on Poorvi. No one had something to criticise about her singing, so he commented on her genre. She was that gala's best performer and he criticised her?
That is putting down.
Poorvi was just placing the mirror in front of him: look at yourself dude, you also are best in one genre (nothing more or less). And maybe people find it wrong attidude of her because his genre is Punjabi and her western. That's why people might blame Poorvi for something she never did. She didn't criticised Punjabi songs but Amit's way of thinking.
IF some one has a bad attitude in this situation it is only Amit.
Another thing I don't get: Poorvi in comp by looks? For me that is baseless. Looks are subjective. but if you would measure her and other contestants by the standards of models, film stars, there were loads of other contestants WAY prettier/good looking than Poorvi. I find Poorvi average in looks. And even if the judges made their selection on looks, I don't think the other contestants would stand there.

her screaming voice is boring her fans too. I was her fan but now I am fed up as she could not sing a single song nicely.
