@tinoo. great post
@ela Agree about Shiv not showing spine. I want a future scene where Shiv tells Anandi where she gets off. He should tell her he agreed to DS's proposal because he loves her. But if she is going to be so sad about it, he will liberate her from her commitment. He shd talk to Khajan and ask him to liberate A from her mother's last wish. After all, no parent will want their child to be perennially unhappy.

What I have noticed is that A is truly happy when she is at work. She shd return to work, forget the marriage and if she herself feels drawn to Shiv in the course of their interactions, the marriage shd happen. .If not, so be it. This is the honourable way out that shiv suggested which she melodramatically rejected.
She shd decide one way or another. If she is going ahead with the rishta, then the least she can do is be courteous towards shiv's family They are not obliged to prop her up. I have a question for A. what if Shiv's family had rejected her? How did she assume that they will accept her with her baggage, sadness and anger while she cannot even pretend to accept them? Isn't she verging on arrogance here? Would she have forgotten abt Bhago's last wish if Shiv's family had rejected her? Or would she have worked to win their approval? Why is it only Shiv's job to love her, respect her, go along with her wishes and then also bring his family around?
After all, while he loves her, he also said he would accept it if she did not return the love. He said he will not force her into marriage. Given this, why are all the moral obligaions only on him and nothing on her?
I'm now happy that the sister will oppose A. Let A work on her. If she wants the family -- as part of the deal to fulfill her mother's wish -- let her earn their love and respect.
