But why did I find it more bland while watching on the screen? Not only that, even when he was telling BB, why he wanted a child... it should have been with more punch... I felt...

Khair, as far as tears, " I hate Tears re"... even if it is a girl...I get irritated...

and this Ashutosh Fella has a habit of crying every now and then if you have watched since the beginning... very often he gets emotional... So, if men crying is a rarity, then Ashutosh is a rare piece...😆

word Mudra.. i hate sissy kinda males.. to b humble, gentlemanly and sober is one thng and b sissy and moma's boy is another thng.. Too much tears can spoil a man's image.. restricted and restrained tears can raise him to a level were all women wud want to worship him!!😆
I have to agree with u on tht punch part.. i did find it bland so much so tht i didnt take much notice of him.. may b his suddenly turning into devdas for me is pretty hard to digest.. bt he does have certain qualities tht he flashes occasionally tht i luv abt him so much.. one is his gentlemanliness and two is his sober solemn nature.. wen he is not acting egotist, he is pretty earnest..😆😆

if i ask my husband did u miss me or will u miss me.. the answer wud b 200% No 100% of the time!😆
so for sake of experimenting one day.. i did not call him at all wen i was away... and kept myself pretty busy for me to even pick up his calls at his conviniepnt times tht he had called.. and at the end the day, he expressed his immediate annoyance tht i had no time left for him anymore! I cudnt help chuckle! Man cannot express wat he feels for his woman in the way a woman wants.. bt thy do feel!😳 masked beneath their ego, pride, and jealousy, thy do feel.. even if thy hate to admit it!😆😆😆
and if someone expresses so beautifully like Ashu and one who is so handsome like SK...(haaayyyeee...😍).. the ladies will go gaga over him.. even if she has to keep up till 11 p.m. and tolerate Mallu to the level of wanting to pull out their own hair!😆😆😆
btw ever pondered y woman luv those men so much.. who miss thr woman without any selfish interst of thrs like caring and tending for thm.. cooking delicious food for thm.. bearing thr child.. or. giving thm company to kill thr time.. and for tht sort of intimate thng...! if everything of above is not done, can a man luv woman with the same intensity for eternityor if i can put.. do such man even exist in this!😆 I have always found a woman's luv for thr relations pretty selfless and completely devoted.. b it husband, kids, siblings or parents.. 😳

I don't know if there is any relationship in this world that is selfless...apart from that of a mother and her child that is...all other relationships have self-interest attached to them!

I don't know, Mudra...it worked for me only because it lacked what you call punch...it was said in such a matter of fact tone without any inflection...because it was the plain, unvarnished truth...I loved the way it was delivered and also the scene with BB...for the very same reason...I loved that his tone was seemingly unemotional!

It was a mere glimpse but it packed in more romance than a hundred dance and song routines. When a husband told his wife that her scent on the pillow kept him company through the night.

Am sure all of us have experienced something similar in our lives. When we have cried ourselves to sleep holding on to a pillow or a shirt or a dress. When we have sat on a favourite chair or used a favourite pen to feel the presence of a loved one.

It is not uncommon to see a woman expressing such sentiments. But like a man's tears impact us more because they are so rare, this scene also impacted more because it came from a man. Not any ordinary man at that. A man who had longed for companionship all his life. A man who had longed to belong all his life. When he unashamedly expressed his need for his wife's company and his efforts to wrap himself in her prsence through her fragrance on her pillow, I could not help but admire this man for exposing his vulnerable core yet again. He may sulk a thousand times but it is moments like these which prove to me that a man like this needs to be treasured. Such men are rare to come by!

Nidhi should realise that...

Yes. Even I liked the flat way in which he spoke about his childhood. It must have tormented him for long time and he has become immune to it and could talk it as a matter of fact . That is how I comprehend about it and wondered whether it was the actor's conscious effort . He is sissy. Who said men should not be emotional and crying is only for women. As a feminist I feel handling one's emotion is not gender associated. I hate sissy types in general. Maybe that is why I love Asutosh who is not an archetypal male.

Sujata , I really doubt ashu's honesty. He was thinking about Malika in the night and he told Nidhi he was missing her

Sujatha excellent post, actually i'm half done with a post on similar lines, definitely my post won't be beautiful than this. Ashu handing her coffee is touching and i personally relate to the scene. My day starts with hubby's coffee (he wakes up early than me) and waits with tea in the noon, as he reaches before. More than passionate romance I loved this scene
