Months on end we complained how can 2 people live together and not do the deed...😆 Today, the CV's were telling us to back off....ASR is just as human....From that perspective it made perfect sense...

But why the rush? A guy who had several months but didn't act on it; a girl who had roots firmly set in her traditional values never remembered pheras completed a marriage. Well, there is a reason for that too....A typical M&B drama only pleases a section of the viewers; issue based drama brings in a major chunk of the mature audience. It is a game of numbers. Tonight's episode raised interesting questions; it is a clash of ideologies. A conversation at every dinner table in a traditional Indian home with sons and daughters of marriageable age.....

He never believed in traditions or the institution of marriage but he has wholeheartedly accepted her as his wife. A man who never thought he would fall in love; today admitted he loves her, truly, deeply...He had a valid question? Doesn't that account for anything?

Khushi on the other hand believes in marriage, her dream was to marry her prince with all pomp and blessings from her elders. She met her prince alright but he doesn't believe in her dreams of a traditional wedding. Should she accept him for who he is and not press for marriage or should she stick to her guns? Is she asking for too much?

Both Stealing glances...

Janmastami scene starts off beautifully; dadi has decided to call a truce at nani's insistence for now. Khushi was clearly not given the status of badi bahu even though the rest of the Raizada's have accepted her. She is visibly missing in the front row....

But what was beautiful was a man who created a commotion last time just to show up for the puja was now standing with his Radharani.....He was going to give her the rightful place in his home, in his heart....Today was that day.....He was eying his beautiful bride who was clearly upset over his pranks.....

The puja ended with the blessings from the elders; a happy nani blesses them and says she would love to see her grand kids.....Natkhat Arnav doesn't miss an opening; he taps into his wife's weakness - listen to your elders advice, much to Khushi's annoyance.....He is ready to work on it right away.....He asks her to follow him but she isn't taking the bait...

He has finally realized it is the right time to take the relationship to the next level, make her his wife in the truest sense, mind, body & soul....When Khushi ignores him yet again he loses his temper and demands she come with him now, much to her chagrin....

What was telling here is, he loves her but doesn't know how to express it😳 He does it his way, the ASR way....He demands....The girl is clueless at this change of mode and she fails to understand what he really wants...She has yet to understand this side of him....He wants to show her how much he loves her but she isn't ready yet...She is stuck in the one thing she heard, their marriage is incomplete without the pheras....She doesn't see the love in his eyes....

In true ASR style, he demands she wear the lehenga.....no arguments....A shy Khushi hides behind the closet, she hasn't worn a revealing dress like this one before....She needs her dupatta...But the natkhat Kahnaiya has stolen the dupatta...

I loved this one, when he gently guides her to the center of the room...she doesn't have to be shy, he is her husband...

He couldn't take his eyes off her...He then ever so gently drapes the dupatta over her head.

The last time the chunari was La's but accidentally fell on her head but this time he claimed her as his wife and ever so gently hugged her....Khushi torn between her love for him and her belief system couldn't help but hug him...She was overcome by love briefly letting her heart rule....He gently picks her up...

The Radhakrishna idol serves as a gentle reminder....She refuses to accept his love with Payal and nani's voices resonating in her head....Arnav is a gentleman and grants her wish.... But her reasoning goes on deaf ears. He isn't buying it....For him, love triumphs all...Feelings matter not the rituals....

But he gives in to her wishes and drags her up the terrace....And carries around the agni with dadi a mute spectator and Khushi blurting out the importance of marriage...

The beautiful thing about this scene was when he doesn't let her get off as they notice dadi watching....He stands tall unperturbed by dadi's presence or her disapproval...Yes, he is proud she is his wife....He is willing to say to the world, he is in love. This is his house, she is his wife...the world be damned... He is not ashamed to admit his love. A disappointed dadi walks away....

Khushi seemingly upset challenges him.... Riti riwaz ka koyi mutlab nahi, shaadi ki vidhi ka koyi mutlab nahi. Tho kis cheese ka mutlab hai? She is the typical girl who is worried about the society....Time again she has been rebuked when it wasn't her fault just because she was a girl...She was the voice of reason but he didn't want to hear it.... He screams - That I love you dammit...

A seemingly upset Arnav doesn't know how else to explain to her...He does it the ASR way! She is stunned by the admission....What she thought was a game for him was really about love....He wanted to give her the status she yearned for....Aapne humhe kabhi patni hone ka ehsaas nahi dilaya...Today he was giving her, her rightful place and she rejected him....

Last time she thought he uttered those words she felt it was because his life is in danger but this time its heartfelt......Will the girl accept him for who he is? She said a few days ago, hum aapko badlana nahi chahte....Will that apply here? Will he bend over backwards to make her happy? I think he will..... End of the day it has to be about what they both want; to reach that middle ground.

A girl who believed in true love has found true love... Should traditions supersede all else? Or does eternal love like Radhakrishna shared triumph? We have revered Radhakrishna's eternal love forever...A debate for viewers...

The marriage was forced on by the intruder on the terrace last time, ASR....This time it was dadi....Will dadi force them to marry again or will Arnav willingly do it for his love? Will Khushi accept his true love and forget about a big wedding? Accept him for who he is, flawed but yet her Rajkumar? If this smile is an indication, the answer is yes! True love triumphs...

But it's a show and it is the game of numbers...TRP
's rule...👍🏼

Sugar's post...

OhmyMata!!
What an episode!!!! 👏 👏

If the TRPs are not beyond 3.5 this week, I will join that tirade to harass Star Plus.

Barun Sobti, please stand up, you deserve this 👏 and this 🤗well the hug because... do I really need to say why?! I'm sure you know it too by now!

Start to finish. It had it all for all the demographics and very heavy on symbolism. I won't touch on it much because well, we have experts in the house and I'll give my expertise on stuff I am specialized in, Barun Sobti and Economics! 😳

Khushi pushing the box towards Arnav's room? Possibly symbolizing her full acceptance as his wife. Given that the last time she pushed a box on the Sangeet night it only reached "half way" and was stationary in the hall, so "half way" to his room and being his wife.

Akash blowing the conch. Very interesting. Krishna blew his conch and declared battle, whereas the remaining four brothers also blew their own conches respectively. So all I can see in this is that Akash will support Arnav and be on his army.
The blowing of the conch is a call to awaken one from ignorance and announce victory of good over evil, so perhaps Akash will be key in doing so at a later stage.

And now, Arnav and Khushi.

The entire 12-13 minutes or so, pure gold. I did say the bag contains a "joda" for the pheras. Sheila, I deserve part winning for that 😛 (yes, I'm desperate, I don't win often here haha!)

So Arnav picks up a beautiful red-pink lehenga for his wife to mark their Suhag-Raat. This is the same guy who left Khushi in the middle of the road and drove off splashing mud on her clothes, exactly one year ago. Oh how far as he come and how lovely he looks in love 😊

The Radha-Krishna murti on the side worked very well. Instead of the typical Di or Daadi interrupting, we had a very pristine divine intervention. And this further strengthens my belief that the re-marriage, however done, just pheras or the whole nine yards will go through and will be completed, avec suhag raat.
There will be no interruptions and pasts coming out before all the above is done. Yes, Shyam will start acting the moment the family gets busy prepping for this re-marriage, for 2 reasons, he can manipulate Anjali the best right now emotionally since she will be "neglected" and he has a chance to still stop Arnav and Khushi from getting married properly, at least that's what he thinks!

Again, I'm not too sure if there was a symbolic meaning behind the "kitne lene hai? 7 ya 8?". But, perhaps Sari and Sanjana can decipher that one.

The "I LOVE YOU, DAMMIT". I had predicted long ago and multiple times that in this story it will be Arnav who would confess first and it would be in anger and there will be a dammit. And we got that today. If the I love you back in May was tender, this one was passionate. And they both were genuine and from the heart. He really loves her more than life itself and more than she will ever know.

And the biggest symbol of tonight, the pheras happening on the terrace. That very same terrace where Arnav and Khushi's love story came to a standstill, where Arnav Singh's Raizada's heart was shattered into a million pieces. What led to the fury and the birth of an angry, heartbroken phoenix from the ashes. Where "the chaap" happened of a hug.
Today, he willingly walked there to give Khushi the pheras she wanted, so they could become one.
360. Completed. And, I will not be surprised if the completed pheras take place here too.

I absolutely loved Sanaya today! I think the stylists have been asked to start prepping Khushi with saris now that she will be his wife in all the proper ways. Symbolically and Ritually.
I also think her make up has changed a bit for a slightly mature look, but it could be a one time thing.

A lot of people are fazzled by the pace, but I'm not too worried, I know I should be panicking with my "omg the show may end soon", but this was needed. Story wise, character wise and for TRPs. This was an excellent move.
And besides, Khushi still has to tell him she loves him. My guess is it will happen on the eve of the "wedding-pheras" or once the "wedding pheras" have completed... so probably on the suhag raat!

Sari take a bow Girl! Can you write or CAN YOU WRITE!!!! 👏

Song of the evening to get things Going...

I dont think I will ever understand what the trunk and the beginning of the show today signified! 😕 I just dont get it but they were really cute with each other here. Arnav softens completely in Khushi's presence and it is just too cute! She huffs and puff's and walks away annoyed and he smirks with an Unbelievable Man and goes on with his business! 😆

As they come to celebrate Janmashtmi with the family...I have to say SI looked gorgeous here! Thank you PH for a new stylist and you have no idea you just added like 2-3K more people form the TRP audience just like that by upgrading your female Lead's wardrobe. 😉 Back to the celebration...tonight I focussed on the BG Music and as these words come on Arnav looks at Khushi and she looks back at him...Zindagi Pe Karam Tujhse...Waade aur Kasam Tujhse...Har Khushi har ghum Tujhse...😍 They cutely Jhula Jhulao Bal Gopal and the funny looks and nok-jhok continues and then they are teased by everyone as Nani tells them to have tiny tot's of their own. 😆 Chalo Akash is the smart one here who actually states we are children still how can we have kid's. Yup they fight like they are on Tom and Jerry Kids can wait! 🤣 But who know's ASR seems like he is some rush...Sabkuch karna hai bande ko high speed mai...now he'l bado ki baat mano and have bache also jaldi jaldi kya? 😉

Khushi Mere Saath Chalo by Mandir...STRIKE ONE 😊

Khushi Mere Saath Chalo in Kitchen...STRIKE TWO😃

Khushi Mai Kabse Tumhe Bularaha Hoon...Come With Me Now...STRIKE THREE 😆

Ah the husband wife spat continues...Can I say this ASR is awesome???? 😍 Ok Ok Vee need to focus...kya andaz hai gift dene ka gussa and all...leaves the poor girl speechless but she listens to him...she cant win tonight 😳 She takes the gift comes back in a Lehnga looking absolutely ravishing! And ASR the man changes into Arnav the Romeo...hai worthy totally...She is all embarassed and shy without her Dupatta and he so sweetly asks her to come to him holding that Dupatta in hand...and ladies the story of the Dupatta comes full circle...he holds her sharam in laj in his hands and walks ever so gently towards her. RANT ALERT: The song didnt gel with this scene...I re-watched it on mute and it does wonders...Mere rang mai from MPK would have been amazing...this song was 🤢 END RANT These 2 today were beyond Perfection here. He put's her dupatta on her head and holds her and hugs her and she hugs him back. For a few minutes there what he wanted is exactly what she wanted. He lifts her and takes her to bed and Radha Kishan's murthy saves the night...👏 Everything about this segment except that song worked! It was beautifully done. ⭐️

Kissa Pheron ka continues...She whines about no pheras and no shaadi...he loses it drags her terrace side and breaks chairs for the pyre and gets some matches and lights it and lifts her and starts his own pheras. 😃 How DIL like...Aamir Khan would be proud here! 😆 This segment both Irani and Sobti have outdone themselves! These 2 bring out the true essence of Khushi and Arnav. They were true to the core of both the character's today and were totally on the ball where expressions and delivery was concerned! Bravo guys! Another day another Perfect performance! 👍🏼

Somehow walking upto the Terrace screaming woke and attracted the insane Dadi element of the show and she witnesses a screaming Khushi stating how they are not married and how the phera's are not complete and how they are not man and wife. Dadi watches in shock the same way Arnav watched Shyam and Khushi hug 6 months ago and that time Shyam did held onto Khushi jabardasti and would not let her leave tonight Arnav held onto Khushi for dear life in his arms and would not let her get down either. 360 mai 360 you ask? Totally! 😃

As Dadi walks away angry...the best conversation between Arnav and HIS Khushi take place! SG's this conversation is the GOD of all conversation's ever! This conversation is Arnav Singh Raizada finally FINALLY admitting face to face to the woman he adores to pieces how much she means to him. This conversation defines how this relationship is about to change. This conversation is how the fandom, the PH, the CV's and the entire team claim victory. A victory not over their competition but a victory over their own creation. 6 months ago things went ballistic and outta control with a wedding no one was ready for. Not the audience and not the storyline...but today it all makes sense and today we all cheer because this conversation is what everyone has been waiting for!

Ok Back to THE Baap of all Conversations then...

Khushi all huffing and puffing goes ballistic at him about what is wrong with him and what Arnav just did...they go at it ...The old hag is already mad at me...what if she heard it all...What did I do wrong...I am with my wife on my terrace and I dont get what the hag's issue is anyways...What is wrong with you? What is with these Phera's...are they bigger than OUR Feelings...she goes they are...he repeat's again...are they bigger and more important than OUR feelings...What about what WE want...more whiney about Riti Rivaz...Riti Rivazon ka Koi matlab nahi...Shaadi ki Vidhi ka Koi Matlab Nahi...To aap hi Hume Batayiye kis cheez ka Matlab Hai...and then we watch...as he holds her like he's held her before in anger...where he's tried to tell her in the past why FARAK Padta hai...as he leave's marks on her arm's once again...and blurt's/Scream's it out as we all watched in shock and awe...That I Love You Damnit! as she watches him in horror ...and then he leaves her and walks away...her ear's ring on for a bit and a smile escapes her lips and she finally get's it all! 😍

Today was amazing...today was too fast paced for me...I wont lie it left me very confused too...but thats why you re-watch it no? The theories are going wild in this head but Asli Duniya and Sapno Ki Duniya mai thora time ka tiff chal raha hai time ka...so all the theories need to wait till next week to be de-coded 😃 I wasnt expecting this today...I honestly did think they would Kiss but the ILU is a bonus...maane there will never be a kiss...sidhe SG hi karenge yeh dono 😆

Today all 4 element's have been covered in the show:

- Arnav is Ocean = Water
- Khushi is Grounded = Earth
-DM, NK, Dupatta Ve = Wind
- Pyre on Terrace = Fire (He did say ab to Fire bhi hai) 😉

EDIT:

So apparently according to Hindu believes there are 5 elements...the 5th element is Akash...where it all happens...This is a new googly for me...so I need to think deeper into it...but itl have to wat until next week...considering the Akash Element already exists in the show...😕

This has to signify something...these are the basic 4 element's of the Universe...this might be the setting stone for the Universe of this Show...maybe this is where it all ended the last time...and this is where it will begin once again after all these years. Time will tell and we will watch 😃

Sari...I am Phangurling for ASR again...he was totally Mind Blowing aaj...ya ya Sobti you rock! Le Sugar bol diya! Ab Khush? 😆

Today was not about him or her...it was about them together...the I/MY/ME has become US/OUR/WE and he wants her to understan that...love him because she knows she loves him...dote on him because he knows she dotes on him...he want's her to feel what he feels for her and he knows she feels the same for him...he knows her more at this point...she was in a haze and fear that distracted her from her emotions and feelings but as soon as he said those words she felt it all over again as she did on that night on the telephone right after his kidnapping...😊

And then just coz i re-watched it for like the 50th time...another song...😛

Foundations...

A bullet train hit the screens today on StarPlus at 8pm. Why the rush to move at a breakneck speed? the mind boggles. It seemed something or rather someone had to be pacified to keep the timing intact: to cover the events that were to culminate exactly 6 months ago from today. One can't help but wonder, is the end near?
On to the episode, some festivities, romance, anger, confusion - all in a typical day at IPK.

Ritual:
Vintage IPK setup. Some new found relationships, some repaired ones and some broken ones - all come together to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna with equal zest and zeal. A moment of blessings, happiness, promises and expectations for the future. It was just a feel good scene. The interesting thing to note here is the conch blown by Aakash. Why? A signal for things to come? Iss War Ko Kya Naam Doon?

Desire:
The Taj Mahal and the bed were lit up with desire. The aroma of roses, nervousness, anticipation filled the air. A quick banter about the etiquette of communication between a married couple turns the husband into the dominant being who doesn't waste a second in bossing his wife around. His wish is her command! Much to her dismay, she sheds her cloak of disapproval and dons on his wish. Uncomfortable to the bone, she stood in the corner covered in hesitation from head to toe but for him, she was a vision of ethereal beauty! Sensing her hesitation, he reassures her in his own way, guides her, covers her, hugs her and than gets down to business, only to have a rude and divine awakening! Wife's conscience wakes up with a jolt, Something is not right. The desire fleets and doubt takes over! We are not gods, we are mortals! Our love does need a name.

Belief:
It comes as no surprise that ASR doesn't believe in rituals, and why should he? If one were to go by examples, what he has in front of him are not quote-worthy and definitely not worthy enough to be followed. 'Tab galti Dad ki thi, ab galti Shyam ki hai'. Two marriages - both went through the 'proper' rites and rituals and properly accepted by the individuals and the society but both ended in pain and disaster. Regardless of the stimulus, both marriages faced a similar fate because one person in this 2 people team did not hold his end of the bargain. The vows that were taken with fire as witness were burned to the ground with the fuel of infidelity. The love that should have been there to uphold the vows wasn't strong enough to sustain the relationship. The marriages, the relationships that were founded on rituals were not cemented by the love needed to keep them standing tall in adversity. He has the 'facts' and the 'figures' to prove his case. So why should he believe in a marriage whose foundation satisfies a norm but doesn't stand the test of time? Why should he believe in rituals that provide a sense of social acceptance but do not provide the glue for people to stick together? Both his mother and sister held on to their marraiges under the pretense of love, both of them ended up losing their so-called loved one, why should he suffer the same fate? Why should his insecurities have their way? Why isn't his love enough to surpass all? Why should he give a damn? Because Arnav Singh Raizada apni kismat khud likhta hai.

It also comes as no surprise that Khushi believes in rituals, doing things the socially acceptable way, and why shouldn't she? A girl orphaned at the innocent age of 8 only cares about the sense of belonging and not alienation. She lives and breathes values, traditions, principles and norms. For her, one's survival runs in tandem with social involvement and acceptance. The institution of marriage, substantiated with love and accredited by the divine, is the utmost sacred for her. A marriage whose foundation is laid solely on love and respect is given the 'proper' shape through rituals. A beautiful and meaningful process that takes family and society as the inputs and gives way to the output in the form of a lovely and cherished relationship. She has grown up seeing happy marriages, people taking vows and sticking to those vows come what may. The marriage that takes it roots in love, solemnized in front of the society is the one to stand tall in adversity. So why shouldn't she believe in rituals? Why shouldn't she follow the norms and values that have made her who she is? Why shouldn't she respect an institution that has been established by the gods themselves? Why shouldn't she give a damn? Because DM har kaam aap say haath pakad kay karwati hain.

It is the battle of beliefs. His self-indulgent belief of control vs. her unshakeable faith in divine sovereignty, his determination to results vs. her devotion to the means. Who is right and who is wrong? what gives one the right to pick a side? Should one even pick a side? What achieves harmony in the end? Is it compromise or conversion? Can Arnav and Khushi mutually and wholly love each other for who they are? Is the love true, mad and deep enough? More importantly, the kostin is: What do you believe in? (or should I say what TRPs believe in?😆 ) John Henry Newman said: "We can believe what we choose. We are answerable for what we choose to believe."

Truth:
A confession which has been six months in the making finally sees it completion. It was destined to be completed on the terrace. Six months ago, on that dreadful night, Arnav went to the terrace to confess his love only to have his heart shattered. With that shattered heart, resentment and hate, he forced her to marry him. Today, when the six month marriage is coming to a close, he confesses his love, no holds barred. The realization of love that started six months ago, finally made its way home.
The words weren't needed to be said by Arnav but they needed to be heard by Khushi, which is quite opposite in Khushi's case. IF we ever get a confession from Khushi, it will be because she needs to say it and not necessarily that Arnav needs to hear it. Six months ago, Khushi heard the confession from a man she hated the most, the confession that ruined her life. Today, her rajkumar gave her the words she has been longing to hear. Today was for Khushi! to erase that chappa hua pal, to give her the reassurance that he loves her from all his heart and nothing else matters, nothing at all. The business tycoon who measures everyone by contracts, deals and monetary values only cares about feelings. The shaatir brain who said 'what crap' to 'bhavna' and 'kuck kuch hota hai', who always does things his way is now a mere puppet in the hands of his feelings, his love. No insurance, no collateral, no agreements, just plain, raw, obsessive love. That night six months ago, he walked away when he shouldn't have, only heard what he wanted to hear and left Khushi alone. Today, he did the same! said what he wanted to say, left and Khushi didn't stop him. They both have so much to learn.

Atonement:
Since Dadi came into the picture, I have always maintained that she is the mirror that ASR has been avoiding all along. The mirror who is in his face now so much so that even if tried, he couldn't hide. The same mirror which is now going to force him to see the reflection of his actions that transpired over the last six months. Only through Dadi, will ASR realize what Khushi had been through all this time with his hate, family's disgust and without any support. If this is not in-the-face redemption, than I don't know what is! Only through Dadi, he will mend his ways, right the wrongs and in the process, perhaps learn that to love means is to love everything about the other person, true love means to wear the other person's differences as a badge and take pride in it. Love goes beyond the simple gesture of bringing smile to someone's face, it involves letting go of your armor to embrace the other person wholeheartedly. To cherish them for who they are and what they stand for, even if it questions your very foundation and beliefs.

Other points:
1. Rabba Ve is sacred and works every damn time! what was the need for that annoying, ill-fitting song? It had no place in the scene whatsoever. The royalties that 4Lions paid to Dharma Productions could have been used to install a few more TRP meters. Stick to Rabba Ve! I was hoping after the hut fiasco, the same mistake wouldn't be repeated but alas! I am a pathetic hopeful who doesn't learn.
2. I don't care what anyone else says but that terrace is jinxed!! it needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Yeah yeah, it got the confession out but someone is always there at the wrong time.
3. I am probably in minority here but I didn't like Sanaya's hair one bit. Sorry I just didn't! But she looked gorgeous otherwise.
4. Execution: Aiy ya ya! Mr. Khan, missed opportunities in the bedroom. Why should I be the one to tell you how to do your job? The moment she rested her head on his shoulder was too short. There needed to be more closeups, especially of the eyes. The scene was rushed. BS was not at his best here until he got into the angry mode. His makeup, lord, what do I say! Blotter - you can find it at ANY cosmetics store.
5. Where is NK? Wasn't he inquiring about the Radha-Kishan story two days ago?
6. The other day in the store room, Khushi opened the Raizada's pandora box. Today, she was seen lugging hers around. The one which she couldn't move without Arnav's help. The box which ultimately caused her to fall. Does she even know what is her baggage? Also, Sangeet 360.

Disclaimer: The above view is based on what I perceived was shown today. It is NOT necessarily my personal view on beliefs or marriage.

Hi Sari and SG's!

Sari: Beautiful post with wonderful pictures made me re-live the episode through each wonderful scene👏

Fantastic episode today; I loved it DAMMIT for the romantic Arnav and the intense ASR😉. Sanaya looked drop dead gorgeous and Barun rocked the last scene; superb performance. The anger, frustration, intensity, passion came through wonderfully⭐️⭐️! Some continuity issues from last week where the past seemed to be taking center stage and now this week looks like we are jumping into the re-marriage track but I think the CV's probably want parallel tracks to maintain a balance, keep up the suspense and keep the romantics tuning in as well.

What started off as a light hearted episode focused on rituals and festivals ended with a big question mark on the importance of rituals and customs, loved the journey from start to finish. The whole Janmashtami puja was nicely done and everyone looked lovely and happy; loved the teasing Arnav and the tensed Khushi. Looks like ODB is ready to take Nani's advice and make babies😳; loved how he teased Khushi about it. His impatience is mounting as was evident when he summoned Khushi to the room in front of everyone. He thrusts the gift and commands her to wear it; Khushi obliges this time, coz maan hi maan mein she also wants to please hubby dear and goes to change only to return as a beautiful angel who even I could not take my eyes off from😆😆. Great choice ASR: loved the lehenga choli and loved that you withheld the dupatta. The song sequence was nicely done; with the music in the background, the lyrics in sync with their feeling and mounting passion between the two, his strong desire, her shyness and apprehension👍🏼. Liked the hug; had a very raw passion and acceptance feel to it and Khushi again ever ready to be picked up by her Arnavji and taken to the bed😉

I think using the Radha-Krishna angle just as a reminder to Khushi that her marriage is incomplete without the pheras was done in poor taste. I just does not make sense that the Khushi who always stressed the importance of rasams and marriage and was brought in to teach La needed a reminder about this😕😕. That being said I loved how the scene brought out the ideological difference between Arnav and Khushi. He does not believe in rituals and never has so is confused that how come she who has been staying with him for 6 months as his wife, he knows her feelings for him and now she thinks the marriage is incomplete. He really needs things to be spelt out for him; loved how he said "tumhe phere lene hai na, toh chalo mere saath" and dragged her out🤣 He just does not get it and it was perfectly true to his character!

The terrace scene was brilliant; right from his bollywood style breaking of the stool and lighting the fire, to him picking her up and asking "bolo saath lene hai ya aath"😆, to her trying to knock some sense into him with her reasoning to Dadi standing by witnessing the whole drama. The moment of the day for me was when he blatantly refused to acknowledge Dadi's presence and put her down👍🏼 An embarrassed and angry Dadi finally had to leave; I love this besharam ASR who wants the world to know she is his wife and he has his haq on her❤️. Plus he was right about it being his house, his terrace and his wife and he was not really doing anything that should upset Dadi.

The confession for me was a dream come true. I loved how they argued about what was important to each of them; how he opens up and talks about "their" feelings being more important than mere rituals and how she tries to explain her point to him. I had always imagined ASR to blurt out his feelings in the middle of an argument and the "I Love You Dammit" was vintage ASR and Khushi's beautiful smile at hearing the precious words in person and was just perfect😍. He wanted to initially confess his feelings to Khushi on this terrace, when his dreams were crushed and his love nipped in the bud by what he saw, today he came a full circle and actually confessed on the same terrace. Now he will make her dream for a dream wedding come true, give her the place, dignity and respect she deserves; coz that is what he does best: try and bring happiness and joy to the ones he loves!

Rabba ve spice girls!! 🤗Someone wished us all a marvelous Monday last night and did devi maiyya deliver! She gave us an episode crackling with action and emotion, and the week has just begun. Hold on to your seats, sisters, this may be a bumpy ride! 😃 A rather disjointed post from me tonight; bear with me ladies, it has been that kind of a day.

While we only expected the contents of the mysterious suitcase to be revealed today, we got way way more than we bargained for. As it turns out, ASR was not joking about the suhaag-raat at all, and the all-important pheras didn't even make it into the top 10 priorites of his shaatir dimaag. He didn't even know how many circles they were supposed to take around his makeshift fire 'saath ya aath (one more for good luck?). Devi Maiyya knows they could use the extra one. 😛

His seduction ritual is definitely showing signs of rust, but Sanaya and the ASR bedroom both looked gorgeous. Who would have thought Arnie boy would go for the heart on the bed? 😲

That ornate lehenga-choli was in that flat gift-box, was it? Who else thought it was another kind of outfit? 😉

The sequence between Khushi coming out dressed and Arnav's outburst before taking off for the terrace fell woefully short. Perhaps it was because we already knew that chances of anything happening were remote, perhaps it was because the song felt misplaced and unnecessary, perhaps the whole thing felt rushed, perhaps it was due all three reasons.

I don't think the spice girls ever pick sides, but today, I must say I agreed with Arnav a little bit more. Why draw the line at the physical relationship behind closed doors while letting the world believe that everything is hunky-dory in that department? The romantic in me wants to believe that Khushi was waiting to hear that her husband loves her. Will the Radha Krishna love story now take predominance over the fact that they weren't married? Will the traditionalist be willing to abhor the rituals for the love of her life? I can almost hear the TRP demon's firm negative on that.

Can we at least speculate what Khushi's first words to Arnav will be tomorrow?

10 years ago to the date, Mr. Monalisa uttered the all-important 3 words to yours truly after making us wait for longer than I care to reveal. My answer: "What took you so long, dammit?". True story. 😛

IF so needs a notif system for ur thread Sari 😆 ran from the kitchen to res will be back after i eat!!

Amazing take Sari still catching up on the rest!!!

So when i ran from the kitchen thought mom wouldnt notice but she did and she was like what drama of yours is coming now rofl!!

So after many interruptions at last writing my take:

Some randomness:

Aisa kyun hota hai SGs
Ke Arhi ko dekh kar dhadkan tez hojati hai
Ke Dadi ko dekh kar dil rota hai
Phir Arnav ka "i love u dammit" sun kar kuch kuch hota hai
Kyun din main bhi yeh dil sohta hai
Kyuni sapno ki dunya main jana jo hota hai😉

What an awesome fast paced episode!! Total surprise and i loved it!! Everyone looked beautiful in the clothes for the puja...Especially Khushi looked amazing throughout the epi! I loved Arnav with his ASR attitude...his eagerness for khushi to come to the room and the way he teased her about what nani said..adorable...

And then the room scene..sigh...Khushi looked gorgeouse in the lengha choli...the song wasnt needed but still it looked good in the scene..the dupatta scene was beautiful...then later the pheras..this guy really is leaving no stone unturned to get what he wnats tonight...but alas the buddhi dadi has to come and ruin everything...im glad arnav didnt put her down when she came...and then the end the best part how Arnav says that nothing else matters besides their feelings their love!! Sigh amazingness..and then khushi's smile im super excited to see her reaction to Arnav's confession if it comes before dadi drama!!

Took me some time before I could put into words what I thought of this episode, yes it was that good IMO. Even though things moved at a fast pace, it was an episode that clicked for me, what a way to start off the week. Loved it!

So the episode starts with Anjali lying to Manorama, guilt apparent in her eyes as she continues to decieve her loved ones. I'm really disappointed with Anjali had this been a case of denial I would have supported her character but she is intentionally meeting Shyam on the sly which means she knows very well what he's been accused of and how much her brother loathes him yet such a huge betrayal. Arnav is going to be very hurt by this

The scene with Khushi struggling with the box has to mean something, it holds symbolism as well as the part where the glass broke.

I am with Vee here, did the PH win the lottery?? Seriously, the new outfits, the sets, HP getting more and more screen time obviously something big has happened for such a welcome change. It was so good to see Khushi in a new sari, she looked gorgeous and as expected Arnav joined her for Janmasthami which is something he had to be forced to do last year. Loved the part where Arnav teased Khushi about what Nani said about wanting great grandchildren, he's really looking forward to his SR

Despite testing his patience and attempting to annoy him, Khushi can stall no more and does come face to face with Arnav who has grown impatient and gifts her the lengha as ASR. Khushi despite feeling uncomfortable without her dupatta, is able to face Arnav which speaks volumes for how much she trusts him. Arnav proceeds to take things further but ensures its ok with her, her silence implies its ok for him to take the first step. I found it completely in character for Khushi to stop things from going further after remembering the importance of the pheras, this is someone who is high on her beliefs and I wouldn't expect anything less of her. Though in her heart Khushi has accepted Arnav has her husband she will never feel their marriage is complete without the pheras.

CVs continue to go full 360, this time with the terrace scene and what a way to go! We got the pheras alright but in true ASR style. If Khushi was shown true to her character then the same went for Arnav, sure he proceeded to take the pheras but he did not understand the importance behind it. For Arnav the pheras did not matter nor did he care for the fact Dadi had seen them, all that mattered was their love for each other or so he thought. While Arnav had his points where remarriage seemed pointless, for Khushi those pheras meant as much as his confession did. Looking forward to the next episode, hoping to see more of Khushi and Arnav instead of jumping straight to Dadi's drama.

Hola peeps...

Rushed thoughts and rusty with writing posts now.. so bear with me...

An episode that was a kind of validation for ASR fans out there ~ or rather here ~ who have always believed that an I Love You from the man would always come like this... in anger, frustration and an absolute disgust at the need to mouth the words because in his mind they are only words, the sentiment behind which he lives with every action of his, actions which speak for themselves...The words that had kind of got diluted by the phone ILU -- We got the words again today said in anger and frustration , but in the end they came about as just that -- empty words. Because the actions of the man showed that he was nowhere near understanding the "feelings" .

Hamare feelings se badhkar kaise???

Cvs, I appreciate the intention behind this ILU, dammit, an acknowledgement of the compromise you had to make -- at gunpoint and hands tied---to make up for the main character's prolonged absence from the show. However, the whole point behind the words have been lost between the two ILUs that he has mouthed and I can only hope that when it comes time for Arnie to say it to Khushi with a true understanding of what the word stands for-- where it is more than mere acceptance of the emotion and is really a respect, understanding and trust for each others thoughts, beliefs and opinions, where they are truly one -- you come up with something that transcends the need for words, that it comes across as a relationship that is above the bindings of an I Love You ... that it is truly a bond thatis above names.

On to the episode...

So the pooja is done, the birth of Kanha has been celebrated and Arnie is ready to take his half-wife to his lair and make her his full-wife. Only the half-wife has a different idea about how it should all come about. And so he orders her up to their room and she finds excuses to not go until the man runs out of patience and demands her presence in front of the entire family. *sigh*

A patient Naani, very much aware of Arnie's idiosyncratic behavior, asks Khushi to go check on what he wants, not at all aware that it is exactly what he wants that Khushi has a problem with.

So Khushi goes in and makes a brave effort to take stand against the autocratic behavior, only to be cut short. But hey, at least, she gets an half baked justification on why these days... progress, right??? 😆

So, still in throes of the temper, Arnie boy pushes a giftwrapped packet into her hands and asks her to change into it. "Just Do It" . 🤣 . Mat bol, veeps. Kuch na bol, veeps. Controls Snarks veeps.

Of course, being the contrary kind, he hasn't given her the dupatta, which means Khushi comes out of the bathroom and hides behind the closet. The tinkles from her Payal alert Arnie to her presence and at her complaint that she doesn't have the dupatta, he pulls out the same with a question. Would she come to him or should he come to her??

Taking her silence for acquiescence, he walks to her, pulls her out of her place of hiding and places the dupatta where it belongs. That and the hug results in the softening of Khushi, who sees her prince charming in him again - the man who gets it, the man who is her other half.

He picks her up, places her on the bed - a fully decorated bed-

and begins the Goddamned slow descent for the kiss -- when will you learn, dude??? -- only to have Khushi turn away and notice the Radha Krishna Murti on the bedside table (And if it seemed like all of the religious knick knacks from Anji's room are suddenly in Arnie's room, chalk it to creative liberty and ignore. They are about to almost NOT do it, for God's sake! )

Khushi's worries about the non-marriage surfaces and she denies Arnie,

who is concerned for Khushi and stops immediately only to blow up when he realises what it is that stops Khushi. And the indulgence with which he had dealt Khushi's argument about the half marriage the day before disappears as the thwarted lover feels the pinch of the reject on what he considers flimsy grounds.

ASR's beliefs shown through today. He has accepted Khushi as his wife. And so, he is ready to take the next step in the relationship, a step for which he has been psyching her for the whole day. He doesn't need the trappings of rituals, traditions or even social acceptance to be committed to her and her happiness. But isn't it really a happiness as defined by him rather than what would make her happy???

So she tells him that she considers the marriage incomplete because they didn't do the pheres, steps he considers mere formalities, something that their feelings are above it all but for her are a basis of her belief system, a validation of the relationship and a showing of commitment. And so,what does he do?? He drags her to the terrace and proceeds to make a complete mockery of her beliefs by making it a thing of contempt, which is exactly what he feels of the institution. As he had done once before. The difference now is then it was done in "hate" and now in "love".

And this where the biggest dysfunction of the ASR psyche wars with the Arnav the lover. The my way or the highway attitude, the attitude that has him pronounce a judgement and walk away without giving a thought about how the people affected by the judgement/decision feel about it, a dysfunction that has his ma-like sister going behind his back and lying to him, a dysfunction that we are told runs in the family...a dysfunction that probably started it all in the first place...

There is not a single change that has happened to ASR in the last one year that has come about without Khushi taking a fall for it. And it won't be any different going forward. 14 years ago, Khushi was the trigger (so says promo 5) that led to the change of Arnav Mallik to Arnav Singh Raizada, even though the reason for the change was Di. Sab Di ke Liye. 14 years later, Di will/has trigger/ed the reversal but the reason for this change will be Khushi.

Notes:

1) As much as one wishes that this issue with the difference in beliefs stays between the two of them and is resolved as a compromise between these two, the fact of the matter is an Indian Marriage is all about social acceptance. It is about naming the relationship between not just two people but between two families... The pheres/saptapadi is an important part o the Hindu ceremony not just ritualistically but also legally according to the Hindu Marriage Act. And that is why, even though you might have a wedding certificate, the passport/visa officers ask for pictures of the pheres/saptapadi as proof for the marriage, if it is stated that the marriage happened according to vedic rituals...same as the pictures are required to get the certifcate in the first place ..

2) Anji... no comments.. Just get Shyam back ASAP.

3) Aakash : Abhi to hum hi bache hai...*sigh*... dude, you are not helping with the snark control...stop it please...

4) NK missing during the pooja, probably why Aakash did the blowing of the Shank...just felt wrong..

5) Sanaya, you are such a doll even when they dress you in those monstrosities... but when they go all out on your wardrobe, ooh la la...

Rabba Ve ladies! An SKD worthy epi that finally had ASR confessing his love to Khushi in the only way it could ever be done. Absolute perfection dammit.
As ASR said, let's start this backwards. Have always wanted ASR's confession to come this way. And that dammit was critical. To actually see it happen was- surreal but nice. Oh so nice!😍
Rewinding to the start of the epi., Loved the janmashtami festivity- reminded me of how as kids we would go from house to house to see how the Krishna birth tableaux was done. Festivals are great in IPK for it means the cast gets to strut in pretty clothes. Khushi looked fetching in the purple sari- no wonder hubby couldn't keep his eyes off her.

Temporary peace reigned as Dadi decided to follow a 'hands off' policy😉 and even went so far as to bless Arhi.

One track mind hubby continued to be in hot pursuit of delectable biwi who appeared rather pysched out about the impending SR. He is ofcourse completely cheesed off by the end and calls her out from where the entire family is gathered.
The run up to the SR was nice. In true ASR style he thrust the gift in her hands and commanded her to change into it no arguments to be entertained. The lehnga was gorgeous and K looked bewitching.
The KANK song was so-so with some well suited words but nothing beats Rabba Ve for Arhi. The shy bride, the smitten hubby, a hug as he carries her to the bed in his arms and then nothing ofcourse. Arhi prove yet again that they don't need no external interruption. As Khushi looks at Radha Krishna she is reminded of their incomplete wedding.
A conflict caused by differing value systems. She wants a proper wedding with every ritual each of which has it's own significance. Plus they need the blessings of the elders to signify the union. For him rituals are all cosmetic stuff; they are husband and wife and it's their feelings that matter. He thinks 7 or 8? circles around a fire is what she wants to validate their wedding and he even obliges.

Ah but this is not how Khushi wants it-there is still some more understanding that needs to be built but the underlying love will see them through this one. This isn't about sahi aur galat anymore is it? Baat beliefs ki hai and one hopes they'll both cover the distance to find that middle ground.

Dadi witnesses the BW style pheras thereby laying the basis for the promo to play out. Loved how Arnav refuses to let go of Khushi even as Dadi continues to seethe.
The 30 sec confrontation that followed was brilliant. Khushi is upset that Dadi has seen them like 'this'. Arnie couldn't care less- his wife, his house. What's there to be ashamed? And as she continues about the lack of pheras, a confession is finally wrenched out of a pushed to the limits Arnav.
I love you dammit. And that is all that faraqs.
Some 14 months and nearly 350 epis later Arnav has finally confessed his love to Khushi face to face. As perfect as it was, lets hope CVs we won't have to wait as much for Khushi's confession.
