ASR is a man of few words...he doesn't use his words loosely and or talk unnecessarily and when he talks it makes sense and those are the last words (basically everybody has to do follow what he says). He is also somebody who has a good insight into everybody's personality and has a good understanding of relationships, he is very mature as a person as well.

He knows very well Mami is not a bad person (we have witnessed it during Arnav's kidnapping), its her insecurities that make her treat Payal and Khushi that way... but no harm intended.. if he had ever sensed that Mami is going to hurt Khushi he would have put her in her place... So basically a Loin doesn't very disturbed when a dog barks... ASR saw another lioness, somebody just like him attacking Khushi and realized he needs to protect her. He is not somebody who likes to get involved in kitchen gossips or fights, his level of thinking is very very high. She stood by him and his sister in their worst phase and he knows very well she will stand by Payal and Khushi if they are in danger.
