OS: Someone Else
"Khushi?" Arnav called as she stepped out of the bathroom, drying her hair.
She looked up to see Arnav standing there his tie hanging around his neck, waiting for her to come and fix it.
She walked over to his and took his tie into her hands as Arnav wrapped his arms firmly around her waist.
"Arnav! Let me go." Khushi whined trying to squirm out of Arnav's arms.
"Why?" Arnav murmured while nuzzling against her wet hair, taking in it's fragrance.
"I need to get ready otherwise I'll be late!" Khushi was becoming slightly irritated, but she couldn't deny the fact that she loved this Arnav which was reserved specifically for her.
"Give me a kiss first." Arnav whispered as he pulled back to look at her lips.
"Fine." Khushi agreed before giving him a quick peck on the lips.
The short kiss left Arnav wanting more and slightly unpleased, but as promised he released Khushi.
Khushi quickly grabbed her mangalsutra and rushed out of the room before her husband got any other ideas.
She slowed down once she exited their room. She knew he would be right behind her, but he wouldn't dare flirt with her in front of the family after she yelled at him for getting her teased all the time.
She was clasping her mangalsutra on when her vision blurred. She halted at the top of the stairs, blinking a few times. She suddenly fell light-headed, her hands slipped from the mangalsutra as they shot up to her head.
She heard a 'thud' from somewhere behind her and someone shouting her name before everything went black.

Arnav had grabbed his things and left the room as well. He increased his stride wanting to catch up with his wife.
He turned around the corner of the corridor when he saw his wife standing at the top of the stairs.
He didn't know what was happening when he saw her hands left her neck to grab her head as her body swayed slightly.
Arnav dropped all his things and ran towards her, shouting out her name. He grabbed her hand as she began to fall just in time.
His shouting had attracted very ones attention and they had come running to find Arnav holding onto Khushi as hung precariously over the stairs.
He pulled her to him just as everyone rushed up the stairs exclaiming worried and frantic 'Khushi's.'
He didn't hesitate as he picked her up in his arms and strode towards their room while ordering Akash to call the doctor and Payal to get some water, everyone else followed him.
"Khushi bitiya?!" Nani called worriedly as Arnav laid her down on the bed. "Arnav bitwa, what's wrong with Khushi bitiya?!"
"Khushi??" Anjali spoke as she shook her shoulders. "Chote, tell us what's wrong!?"
"I don't know! If I did I'd be doing something about it!" Khushi's pale face and unresponsive body was terrifying him as he vented his worries with anger.
"The doctor's on his way." Akash said as he walked into the room, followed by Payal with a glass of water.
They tried making her drink it, splashing it on her face, but nothing helped.
"Please give Mrs. Raizada some space." The doctor ordered when he walked in to find the entire Raizada family, even Laxmi, kneeling on the bed surrounding Khushi as they frantically tried waking her up.
They all moved away as the doctor came and checked Khushi's temperature, heartbeat, etc.
"Doctor, what's wrong with bhabhi?" Akash asked as he looked at his bhabhi, who was more like a sister to him.
"I can't say anything as of now. I need to conduct a few tests." The doctor said as he turned to them, "If you don't mind, I'd like everyone besides Mr. Raizada to please leave the room. The patient seems uncomfortable due to all the crowdiness."
Reluctantly they all left, looking back at Khushi worriedly. Arnav got up and locked the door behind them.
"What is it doctor?" Arnav asked as he returning to his spot next to Khushi. "What's wrong with my wife? Khushi's going to be okay right?!"
"Calm down Mr. Raizada. Mrs. Raizada is perfectly fine. The are two possibilities here." The doctor calmly explained, "First could be just some weakness or..."
"Or?! Or what doctor!?" Arnav cried as he looked at Khushi worriedly.
"Well, first I have a few questions for you." The doctor continued when Arnav nodded still looking at Khushi,
"When was the last time she ate something?"
"Yesterday, around six."
"Did she happen to over exert herself afterwards? Like with chores as such?"
"No, she had gone to bed earlier saying she felt tired."
"Hmm...okay then."
"Okay?! What's okay?" Arnav questioned worried again.
"Well since she hasn't fainted due to weakness and that leaves only one other option." The doctor stated, a smile on his face.
"My wife is laying here unconscious and you're smiling?! Tell me what the hell is wrong with me wife!" Arnav was furious, something was wrong with his wife and the doctor was smiling!
"It seems to me that Mrs. Raizada is going to bring little new member into this family." The doctor said, his smiling widening.
Arnav stared at the doctor as the meaning of his words sunk in. "Khushi's...she pregnant! I'm going to be a father!"
"It seems so." The doctor said, smiling at Arnav's shock and joy. "But if course we have to do some tests to make sure. Until then I'm writing down a prescription for vitamins. Give them to her and take good care of her. The results will be back in a few days, I will call you to let you know. Mrs. Raizada should be waking up soon."
Arnav nodded and lead the doctor out. Everyone rushed to him the instant he closed the main doors and turned around.
Before anyone could question him he said, "The doctor said that Khushi was just feeling some weakness that's why she fainted. Nothing to worry. I'm just going to go get these vitamins the doctor prescribed."
He didn't want them to know what the doctor had really said until the news was confirmed.
"Here bhai, I'll go get those vitamins. You stay with bhabhi." Akash called before Arnav could leave.
Everyone visibly relaxed knowing Khushi was okay before retreating in their rooms for the afternoon. Arnav grabbed some breakfast for Khushi and him before returning to their room.

Khushi stirred a little as she woke up blinking against the lights. She looked around and realized she was laying in bed. She tried to remember what had happened and came to the conclusion that she must have fainted.
She began sitting up when Arnav walked in with a tray of food and a wide smile, which fades immediately after seeing her.
"Khushi! What are you doing?!" Arnav reprimanded before helping her sit up.
She was shocked, he had never spoken to her like that before. He say down next to her and gave her the tray of food.
"Khushi, there's something I have to tell you..." Arnav said hesitantly. He had no idea how he was supposed to tell her.
Khushi looked up an stared at him wide-eyed, he was never hesitant in talking to her then why now?
Arnav quickly decided that he would tell her only after the news was confirmed. He looked down to see her looking at him questioningly. He hated now telling her things and if he stuck around any longer then he would certainly blurt the truth out.
"Um...I'm going to the office and I'll be back late today. Stay in bed and take the vitamins Akash brings. Doctors order's." With that he grabbed his things once more and left.
Khushi stared at the door Arnav had just walked through. She was beginning to worry, Arnav was definitely hiding something from her because he never behaved like this to her especially when she wasn't well.

The next two days passed exactly the same. Arnav would leave early in the mornings and come home late, it seemed like he was avoiding her. And when he was with her he would get annoyed and irritated with everything she would do, he kept asking her why she was so careless and that she needs to learn to take care of herself more.
If Khushi hadn't known better, she would have thought he was tired of her, maybe even seeing someone else.

On the third day, Arnav and Khushi were sitting in their rooms. Arnav was behaving slightly more normal compared to the last few days.
She asking him about his day when his cell phone rung. He looked at the caller ID before glancing at her and walking out of her hearing range to attend to the call.
She couldn't help herself this time as tears welled up in her eyes because of his behavior the last few days.
Never before in his life had he ever had to walk away from her to answer a call, be it work or home, then why today.
She tried holding in the tears when she saw him smiling brightly and talking enthusiastically into the phone. That's the smile he wore when he talked to her...
She quickly blinked away the tears when he saw him cut the call and walk back into the room.
He sat down next to her, taking her hand in his, but not looking at her, "Khushi, there's something I've been hiding from you these last few days."
She just stared at him, not wanting to hear more if what she was thinking was true.
He quietly continued without looking at her, "I thought I could hide I from you, but these things can't stay hidden for long."
Khushi grabbed his arms, shaking him silently, "Arnav? What are you saying? Your behavior these last few days, your walking away from to answer a call, nothing make sense to me! Arnav, what are you hiding?"
He looked at his for a second before looking away, "What if I tell you that I also love someone else besides you?"
Khushi froze, her fingers unconsciously held onto his arm tighter before releasing him.
"I would die Arnav...You...Do you love someone else Arnav?" Khushi managed before she got up to leave, she couldn't take this.
"No, I don't love someone else." Arnav said grabbing herself as she walked away. She turned around to look at him with teary hope filled eyes and this time he looked back, "But I want to start loving someone else."
Khushi stared shocked confused, "What..?"
"That phone call was from our family doctor." Arnav's phone call explanation only confused her more, why did he walk away if it was the doctor?..."You're going to be a mom, Khushi."
"What..." Khushi was still in shock as the words sunk in, "Mom... And me?"
"Yes, Khushi and I'm going to be a father" Arnav whispered standing up and cupping her face.
"Arnav! We're going to be parents!" Khushi squealed as she threw her arms around Arnav's neck and hugged him fiercely, forgetting everything that happened in the last few days.
Arnav chuckled slightly and hugged her back, kissing her hair.
"Khushi, I love you."
"I love you too Arnav."
This OS is dedicated to Arwa123, who asked me to write a OS about Khushi being pregnant.
I don't know if this is what they wanting but this what came out when I thought of Khushi being pregnant.😆
