While shooting for Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan and the gang used to frequent a certain Cafe Del-Mar in the Turkish city of Mardin. It was your regular run of the mill cafe until Sallu had his way with it. His inputs on the decor, the music, right down to its food and beverages transformed the place altogether. The new Cafe Del-Mar was renamed Salman Khan Cafe. Director of Ek Tha Tiger, Kabir Khan says "The music system wasn't very good so Salman sent someone to get a better one. After the shoot, he left the sound system there". This is one act of generosity the locals of Mardin will not forget.

So he renamed Cafe Delmar to shoot & left his shit there to show the act of generosity.

I'm waiting for any other director asking him to shoot inside a public toilet. 😈

I think it's kinda sweet of the cafe owners, unless it's a publicity stint of course. Nevertheless this shows how influencial Bollywood is becoming to foreigners

Mumbai: Bollywood megastar Salman Khan left his imprint in Turkey while he was there to shoot for his new film 'Ek Tha Tiger' in quite a unique way. If you ever happen to be in Turkey, look for the eatery that's been named after our very own Salman Khan.

Earlier known as the Caf Del-Mar in the city of Mardin in Turkey, the popular local hangout point is now known as the Salman Khan Caf.

Reportedly, while shooting for 'Ek Tha Tiger' in Mardin, Salman and the rest of the crew would often visit Caf Del-Mar, which was close to their shooting location. Salman, however, thought that the cafe needed a facelift, and went on to suggest various changes.

"He (Salman) started with the dcor and music and went on to the food and beverage menu. Towards the end of our stay, Caf Del-Mar was a completely new place!" said a source from the unit, adding, "It eventually came to be known as Salman Khan Caf."

A Yash Raj Films spokesperson confirms, "Caf Del-Mar is now referred to as Salman Khan Caf as its identity has changed. They used to look forward to having Salman and the entire gang visit every day."
