I think Mini was looking for UV as you know he suddenly vanished, and came across the open window, a lot of drama now I come to think of it, royal drama😆

I told everyone at the beginning of this chapter that she hasn't written the letter yet, I think you've missed that bit dear,
And yes Mini is a future danger but she won't do anything rush as she's also a princess and legally UV's fiance,
Manyata has much potential when it comes to the throne and that's why NS fears her connection with UV,
I don't like torturing them personaly yet that's how the story goes and just imagine if this things happened anywhere anytime the same incidents will take place, won't they?

Chapter 8 - Ghost

"Nani sahib, nani sahib, listen to me!"

Manyata tried to reason with her as she dragged her upstairs,

"He needs me, please let me go, please just this once"

Everyone in the corridor turned to look as the old lady dragged Manyata past them and pushed her inside her room,

"Enough!" She said, "You've done enough drama already, there's no need of more!"

"Nani sahib please…please I'll do anything, anything you say"

The old lady who had turned to leave looked back at her when she said that,

"Anything?"

"Yes anything, anything you ask me to do"

She was watching the scene from a distance, joy spreading through her mind, even though her fianc was fighting for his life she felt nothing but the steak of that strange happiness, happiness of her first victory, happiness of her enemy's first defeat.

One day earlier

She entered the palace like a ghost still lost in her deep thoughts,

"Mini" A voice called from the behind, she turned to find her nani sahib with her warmest welcoming smile,

"What kept you? You're late"

"I..I went for a drive Nani sahib" Mini said thinking over the sight her unfortunate eyes had caught, there wasn't enough courage left in her to repeat the incident,

"Oh" Nani sahib raised her eyebrows, "Is something bothering you dear?" She asked after a moment observing the whitish face of Mini.

"Nothing nani sahib, " Mini muttered and she turned to leave yet a voice was screaming inside her throat, "Er nani sahib…"

"Yes dear"

"We are doing the right thing aren't we?" She said voicing the doubts in her mind, "I mean we never asked Uday what he needs…"

"We royals don't have that choice m dear, our needs comes after out states"

"I know that nani sahib but will we ever be happy if…"

"Love in a royal marriage is like water in the desert child, the more you want it the more you realize that it's nothing but a mirage"

"Yes…but..But what if he loves someone else?"

Nani saib stood up as though the shock of her words made her do so, for a moment her face was expressionless and then suddenly she smiled,

"You are my heir Mini, the lady who will sit on this throne once I'm gone, whoever he loves, whoever he wants to be with at the end of the day it'll be just you and him"

Mini smiled in return and bid her good night wishing her the same Mirnalini devi watched her leaving her office and something some older memory perhaps brought a smile on her composed features.

"Perhaps it's the time to server ties with the past" She muttered to herself, "Now that the danger had passed away"

Yet the danger was to come and the poor souls didn't know what storm it'll bring with it. Or perhaps what it'll take in return. It isn't easy to server ties with the past when the past keeps haunting them.

"Di" She looked up as the door opened; she was on the floor near her bed crying her heart out. Out there somewhere he was fighting for his life and here she was trapped and helpless was this life?

It was Jay she looked whiter as her eyes fell on Manyata, and she walked in.

"I brought food" She said in whisper, "You missed too meals now"

"I don't need any" Manyata said as she wiped her tears from the back of her hand,

"Please Di"

"Go away Jay"

"It's not your fault, that…"

"It's my fault I told him…I told him..he's..

She couldn't complete the sentence as more tears clouded her voice,

One day earlier,

Manyata pushed him away with all the strength she could master; there was a moment of silence in which she breathed in,

"This is wrong"

The song outside had died away and a complete silence greeted her words, Uday said nothing. He just caught her wrist blocking her attempt to walk out,

"You haven't given me an answer," He said after a moment,

"My answer is the same it was yuvraj sa" Manyata told him coldly,

"After everything?" Uday asked her caressing her cheek slowly lost in thoughts,

"After everything,"

"So you don't love me?"

"No I don't"

"You don't care for me either?"

"I care only for my sister"

"She's everything and I'm nothing?"

"Nothing at all"

"My existence doesn't matter to you?"

"No it doesn't"

Surprisingly he let her go,

"There's nothing for us to talk then doll" He said observing her expression from a foot's distance, "You've broken my heart"

"No I was preventing you from breaking her heart"

She said it in one go before she would shatter in to tears and left the place, warm tears were pouring endlessly from her eyes as she walked on the words ringing in her ears you've broken my heart…will he ever realize that she had broken her heart too in the process?

Jay was waiting for her,

"Di, what…"

She said nothing as she caught her from her wrist and pulled her to the car, "Let's go Jay" She said finally,

"But di…"

Jay turned around and saw Uday watching them, catching her eye he nodded slightly. As she took her place in the back seat with Manyata Uday's look registered in Jay's mind and she thought she had never seen him so defeated before.

It was love alright and love was a disaster.

"Then go di" Jay said after a moment, "Go and tell him what he means to you, go and tell him that he's everything, go!"

"I..I can't" Manyata sobbed, "nani sahib,"

"She told me to tell you that you can go" Manyata looked up confused, "And he told you to remember your promise"

One day earlier,

The room was lost in darkness as a ghost walk in, it was so silent that its footsteps made no sound on the marble floor, stopping the ghost looked at the two girls fast asleep and thought for a moment before sitting on the edge of the bed of the girl in right.

The ghost stared at the peaceful sleeping face framed with brown curls and so beautiful, for the first time it envied the charm it held, the calmness it portrayed and cursed the creator for giving her such a power,

After a moment slowly its cold fingers touched the warm cheek of the girl sleeping and there were flames in the eyes that started in to her features at the moment,

"I never thought you are my sister" The ghost said slowly,

"And you never will be" The calmness in the room was shuttered,

"Do you know why?" There were no answers for the question, "Because no sister will do what you did"

There was a silence,

"How can you be calm, when I'm on fire?"

The sleeping girl smiled at the ghost, in her deep sleep which was untouched by the cold words being uttered,

"Why are you laughing? It asked in a ruthless voice, "Or are you dreaming about him like I was all my life? Are you dreaming about him when I am here unable to sleep?"

Again there was silence, silence that was becoming unbearable for the ghost,

"Do you think you won?"

It laughed quietly,

"Then you're wrong, your charm is nothing against my royalty, your love is nothing against my destiny"

It laughed again,

"Do you want to play sister? Then let's play, let's play with your heart and my mind, let's play to gain his love, let's play for the crown of Jaygar, let's play for my victory and your defeat, let's play sister let's play"

The ghost stood up to leave and bent down to kiss the sleeping girl's forehead,

"Sweet dreams sister, because your reality won't be sweet anymore"

Leaving the room the ghost dialed a number,

"Aryan, I've got news for you" The slow voice of the ghost said calmly, "Yuvraj Udayveer met with an accident"

Cham, another update full of suspense. Some questions answered and more raised!! So, uday's accident was planned by mini and now manyata is not allowed to see him. Really interesting update. Cant wait to read next part..
