Loved the last sentence. So true !!! As they also say, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder !!! It is an individual perception for each..

Dear Ash,

So very kind, also as usual. Thank you, my dear. This was basically a satirical post, and satire, as distinct from plain humour, is a cultivated taste. So I was not sure how many would appreciate it, but I did feel that there was too much high emotion all around, and a bit of an antidote was called for! I am glad that you still liked it.

I get quite tired coping with these brats - I thought I had finally got out of all this when my son left home for college 11 years ago, but there is no escaping one's fate, and here I am back in the same madhouse! Only till August 22, thank God. In between, I will try my best to get back with you folks whenever I can, for I miss you more than you can possibly miss me!

How very sweet you are! If I was not past the age for it, I would blush.

Don't worry, I am sure Purvi will get at least 2-3 more new dresses soon. It is time enough, I am tired of seeing the poor thing in that crushed, messed up sari and the mandatory worn to shreds face for a kidnappee. I was pleased with the blue and the pink ones she landed a couple of weeks ago, and I am sure some more are in the offing,

As for her looks, let me share with you something that a sculptor, whom I met in the Louvre Museum in Paris, told me. Beauty, he said, invariably fades with age. Fine bones last and last and last. Enough said, don't you think?

Shyamala

Hi Shyamala dear,

Nice explanation in the last..My two cents (hope you dont mind 😆 )is not just elegant looks and fine bones last for long but eternal natural beauty does as well..When the beauty is natural and not through artificial means no age bar can restrict the variance of beauty blown out in epic proportions..Perfect eg's are Rekha and Madhuri (These 2 may also look elegant and have fine bones, I am not sure but one thing that catches every ones eye even one is their eternal naturnal beauty which has lasted for so many years and so long.Natural eternal beauty is too God gifted and it can never vanish no matter the age.😉)

Trish, I don't want Asha to spend money on clothes for PR, especially since there is hardly any substance left to this show and many of us are just watching it for our favorites. Also, I think PR will be wrapping up in a few more months. It should be the job of the PR team to provide their actors with clothing. Asha also doesn't make as much money as Ankita, so I wouldn't want her to buy an entirely new wardrobe for PR. Plus, I don't want her to be out of character. The clothes she wears are befitting for the middle class girl she plays, but the thing that I don't like is that she only has a handful of outfits. Even after getting the Power of Attorney, she should have been shown with nicer clothes because she has a higher position and higher pay and should look the part or look at least presentable.

As for beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder but I also think that more than beauty, one's personality makes one look more beautiful. My favorite telly actress is Kratika Sengar (she plays the lead in Punar Vivah) and even though she's no great beauty, I find her personality to be charming, bubbly, and vivacious which makes her more attractive to her fans. Same for Asha and Ankita. If they were just pretty faces, they wouldn't garner so much attention but it's also their talent and most importantly their personalities that have made them lovable to so many fans.

Fantastic point Nina and I too watch Punar vivah (Storyline wise its one of the best I have seen, really good) and yes I too like Kratika Sengar...And perfectly said its not the elegant looks and the beauty that makes one go gaga over someone..Its a combo of talent+personality+beauty+attitude+strong presence that catches viewers attention.I think both Anki and Asha have these traits and hence have such a huge fan following..Well said Nina...👏

Thanks Jai. And I'm glad that I found someone else who watches and likes Punar Vivah also! Kratika does a marvelous job as Aarti and her personality reminds me of Ankita. They're both bubbly and funny and remarkably talented individuals.
