Moreoever, HD's piont is that Sugni will be humiliated in teh end because she was the one who showed off about getting married and in teh end she never did get married. If Gulabiya's character thought of her daughter's welfare, suggested divorce and TVS refused, THEN I would have 100% supported Gulabiya's actions.
Laila love your post, especially above. This is the point I am trying to make. Gulabiya methods will create more harm than good. Even if the Cvs fix it nicely to make Gulabiaya and Aditya look good, in real life we know what the consequences would be.
@Sweet_Krishna. thanks for posting, and of course respect is due to you.
I never once said anyone should ignore Vikram's lies. I said as a loyal family member Aditya should have had a more sincere approach towards his Uncle. He should have asked him directly and told him what Gulabiya said. If you have read all my posts, throughout the forum, you would see that I don't condone the lies. Not because I think there should be a more loyal and mature approach to the situation, does not mean I condone lies. If after approaching Vikram, he realised he was getting no where, he could have still taken Reva from the hospital and bring her to the mansion not to a temple, to create unnecessary drama.
Also, there is no way after Sugni's humiliation, she would not be taunted by Thakurs. These men have been dying to do Sugni's sardahakai for awhile now. Also, no one is going to see that it is Vikram's fault. This is a society where women have no rights and are treated like nothing whether they are a Bedni or not. Look at the way in which TJS treats his wife. So, it is kinda surprising that you fail to see what will happen to Sugni in society. This type of situation is in every Hindi movie. That is how the second Jodi will come in.
Aditya is not having any difficulties based on timing, to expose Vikram, so the scene at the Mandap is highly unnecessary. Where do they get time from to get Reva dressed in wedding attire and place at the Mandap before Sugvi gets there? Seriously?
Gulabiya has been given more than one chances by Sugni to prove what she knows. She failed to do so, but that is no reason to bring the truth in such a manner, knowing full well her daughter loves Vikram so much, and never wanted to live the life of Bedni.
Look at what happened to Sugni at the fair, when she spoke against Thakurs? Her own Father punished her and her family. They could not get food to eat. Who helped them? Vikram and Amrita. Yet they are the ones who will be humiliated in society. Vikram will not be able to show face in front of the other Thakurs, because they deemed him as someone who thought he was better than them. Amrita's engagement will soon be called off, because this new Jodi will obviously happen. So, it is funny how the people who have been there for Sugni and her family, will suffer the worse fate.
Who is really writing this stupid script?
Vikram does not believe in the life of a Bedni, he cannot fathom treating Sugni that way. He knows Sugni would rather die than be a Bedni. He found out his wife is alive after falling in love with this girl. His wife being alive would mean Sugni is a Bedni, a mistress whatever you want to call it, but this is the reality.
Vikram kept this secret but It is obvious no one remembers the scene with Dhanuma and Vikram, when she said to him don't worry the truth will soon be out, and everyone will understand. She said this to a very worried Vikram.
So, Vikram never intended to keep the lie for long, he had recently found out.
Gulabiya found out and she never cared what he had to say, she was hell bent on proving her point and thinking he is a liar like all other Thakurs.' She never acted maturely. She could have asked him what he was going to do about the situation with is wife. Ask him to make a choice or you can't have my daughter. No, she did not. She right away said he was lying about not knowing his wife was alive, she wanted to hear nothing. Vikram is a man, very much in love, why would he fall at her feet in weakness to lie on himself that he knew all along and worse leave Sugni just like that? If Gulabiya had taken this more mature approach, then I would never say she was wrong.
What she failed to understand in her comparison with Vikram and TJS and other Thakurs, is that all of them knowingly had wives, their wives knew about the relationships with the Bednis. That is the Big difference between Vikram and other Thakurs.
So, yes his lies are wrong, but I will not see him as evil, I understand his situation though not good at all. and I feel bad for him and Sugni.
The way I see it for Gulabiya this not about saving Sugni any more. This is a woman who is angry because of her failed life, brought over to seeing her daughter live her life. Which by far is not the same. She would not know that of course, because she never cared to hear Vikram's side of the story. She is mad that Sugni chose Vikram and Vikram had the gall to challenge her for Sugni's love. She is hell bent on bringing him down, even at that the cost of her daughter's humiliation.
