HillyDee, in case of Gulabiya, I would disagree with you. She is not at all disloyal as you feel nor she is seeking revenge from her daughter. If there was a mistrust at all in a mother daughter relationship, that was shown by suguni. How would a mother feel if she tries to put across the truth to her daughter and the daughter is not ready to believe her and keeps on chanting "Thakur malik"? What option does she have? Let the marriage happen coz my daughter's heart will be broken if I put Reva in front of her...

Sugni did believe her mother in the beginning; she went to the house with her and questioned TVS but he was there and she was embarassed. Then, when the mother said the daughter was not TVS' but he had a wife, Sugni was not amused. Then she went again to the house and there was no-one there. So TWICE she went and on both occasions there was no Reva present. Then Gulabiya forced her to choose between herself and TVS...that was not a good move on Gulabiya's part. If she was smart and wanted to protect her daughter, she should have reasoned with her. But more importantly, what life would her daughter have if she did not marry TVS? That's the question. Was there someone else offering his hand in marriage ot her? NO. What would her life have been but that of another Bedni. This is what Gulabiya has failed to realize. What if no Aditya existed? Her daughter WOULD have been a Bedni in the end. The writers will NEVER show the hardships that Sugni and her family will endure if Sugni's decision to marry TVS does not happen. They are already showing Gulabiya doing very well without performing the Reva when just few weeks ago they did not have found to eat.
The writers will solve everyhing by Aditya taking over the role of TVS and suddenly all the pride of Sugni and Gulabiya who refused money from TVS will take it from TAS...(more blatant inconsistencies from the new writers).
Moreoever, HD's piont is that Sugni will be humiliated in teh end because she was the one who showed off about getting married and in teh end she never did get married. If Gulabiya's character thought of her daughter's welfare, suggested divorce and TVS refused, THEN I would have 100% supported Gulabiya's actions.

Laila love your post, especially above. This is the point I am trying to make. Gulabiya methods will create more harm than good. Even if the Cvs fix it nicely to make Gulabiaya and Aditya look good, in real life we know what the consequences would be.

@Sweet_Krishna. thanks for posting, and of course respect is due to you.
I never once said anyone should ignore Vikram's lies. I said as a loyal family member Aditya should have had a more sincere approach towards his Uncle. He should have asked him directly and told him what Gulabiya said. If you have read all my posts, throughout the forum, you would see that I don't condone the lies. Not because I think there should be a more loyal and mature approach to the situation, does not mean I condone lies. If after approaching Vikram, he realised he was getting no where, he could have still taken Reva from the hospital and bring her to the mansion not to a temple, to create unnecessary drama.

Also, there is no way after Sugni's humiliation, she would not be taunted by Thakurs. These men have been dying to do Sugni's sardahakai for awhile now. Also, no one is going to see that it is Vikram's fault. This is a society where women have no rights and are treated like nothing whether they are a Bedni or not. Look at the way in which TJS treats his wife. So, it is kinda surprising that you fail to see what will happen to Sugni in society. This type of situation is in every Hindi movie. That is how the second Jodi will come in.

Aditya is not having any difficulties based on timing, to expose Vikram, so the scene at the Mandap is highly unnecessary. Where do they get time from to get Reva dressed in wedding attire and place at the Mandap before Sugvi gets there? Seriously?

Gulabiya has been given more than one chances by Sugni to prove what she knows. She failed to do so, but that is no reason to bring the truth in such a manner, knowing full well her daughter loves Vikram so much, and never wanted to live the life of Bedni.

Look at what happened to Sugni at the fair, when she spoke against Thakurs? Her own Father punished her and her family. They could not get food to eat. Who helped them? Vikram and Amrita. Yet they are the ones who will be humiliated in society. Vikram will not be able to show face in front of the other Thakurs, because they deemed him as someone who thought he was better than them. Amrita's engagement will soon be called off, because this new Jodi will obviously happen. So, it is funny how the people who have been there for Sugni and her family, will suffer the worse fate.
Who is really writing this stupid script?

Vikram does not believe in the life of a Bedni, he cannot fathom treating Sugni that way. He knows Sugni would rather die than be a Bedni. He found out his wife is alive after falling in love with this girl. His wife being alive would mean Sugni is a Bedni, a mistress whatever you want to call it, but this is the reality.
Vikram kept this secret but It is obvious no one remembers the scene with Dhanuma and Vikram, when she said to him don't worry the truth will soon be out, and everyone will understand. She said this to a very worried Vikram.
So, Vikram never intended to keep the lie for long, he had recently found out.
Gulabiya found out and she never cared what he had to say, she was hell bent on proving her point and thinking he is a liar like all other Thakurs.' She never acted maturely. She could have asked him what he was going to do about the situation with is wife. Ask him to make a choice or you can't have my daughter. No, she did not. She right away said he was lying about not knowing his wife was alive, she wanted to hear nothing. Vikram is a man, very much in love, why would he fall at her feet in weakness to lie on himself that he knew all along and worse leave Sugni just like that? If Gulabiya had taken this more mature approach, then I would never say she was wrong.

What she failed to understand in her comparison with Vikram and TJS and other Thakurs, is that all of them knowingly had wives, their wives knew about the relationships with the Bednis. That is the Big difference between Vikram and other Thakurs.
So, yes his lies are wrong, but I will not see him as evil, I understand his situation though not good at all. and I feel bad for him and Sugni.

The way I see it for Gulabiya this not about saving Sugni any more. This is a woman who is angry because of her failed life, brought over to seeing her daughter live her life. Which by far is not the same. She would not know that of course, because she never cared to hear Vikram's side of the story. She is mad that Sugni chose Vikram and Vikram had the gall to challenge her for Sugni's love. She is hell bent on bringing him down, even at that the cost of her daughter's humiliation.

Great post people, I agree with most of the comments here, and not sure I will say anything that has not been said before. It irks me that the writers in this story dose not have the Guts to do something different...why all this DRAMA of stopping a wedding at the LAST MINUTE...we have Thakurs there who was against the marriage from the beginning...we have the Bedini community in there ..who dose not BELIEVE such a marriage is possible so in the end All parties will become the LAUGHING STOCK of both communities.
A city bred boy, who loves and respects his UNCLE and who cares about his FAMILY reputation would not do what Adi is about to do...(unless they change it at the last minute which I doubt)
A mother who loves her child above all else would not put her through a public display, when she already heard how these women talk about Sugni. (Remember all the snide comments from before about her getting the right price from TVS)
So these people never herd about a closed door meeting...all Aditya has to do is call all parties involved and asked them to wait for in in one of the many rooms in that house, I am sure he could think of a good lie to get them there, and reveal is precious Reva mami to them!
I don't think any marriage should start with a lie, and SUGNI MUST KNOW the truth of what she is getting into...I am all for that...she will already be heartbroken, is there really a need to publicly crucify her???
😡 😭😡😭

Well said Vinnie 👏

This my burning contention, why make a public spectacle of the people you claim to love. This is why I call it being disloyal. One must be loyal to their loved one. Loyalty means telling them they are wrong but not by disgracing them and letting others know their short comings.

Gulabiaya having rights as a Mother is one thing, but if your child fails to understand the dangers of a hot pot, are young going to burn that child with the hot pot to prove your point? Just giving an analogy.

Exactly !! this is my point ... what would she get from all this, after this mess what would she do, would bring back her daughter home and then what next ? if sug will not do job at VS house then how will she fulfilled her family's need..and after this whole drama this will sug.. who would suffer the most..
actually real culprit is cvs, they want all this, this way otherwise they could have been shown it some decent way .. like.. adi could have been said to his mama that mamaji.. i found rewa mamai alive so please stop this marriage , other wise i will bring her in front of all.. but in Indian soap ,cvs always want BIG DRAMA or i say BIG TMASHA ... because of this mentality they will show lots of humiliation, rona-dhona .. chikhna-chilana.. anger, frustration, etc... so willing or unwilling we have to prepare for this BIG TMASHA...
