When Khushi Asked Arnav..."Aap aisa kyun hain?"
The question striked me too. Yes, why he is like this? Why he is 'The villain'? We know that he has a soft heart inside him somewhere which shows in deep nights when she falls asleep. The heart which craves for her touch and holds her hand in sleep. The heart which makes his eyes wet when he looks at her sleeping face.Then WHY not in daylight? WHY not when she is awake? WHY this rudeness? WHY giving her so much pain? WHY pushing her away by insulting her over and over? Then again trying to pull her closer? And when she comes close again pushing her away? WHY? WHY? WHY???
And I remembered the fairy-tale 'Beauty n the beast' based on which theme this show was made probably.
Do you guys remember WHY the prince became the beast? The bad witch took away everything from him. All people whom he loved...his parents, his childhood, his palace, his garden...everything. And cursed him to become a beast till the day a girl will come and despite all his negativity and brutality she will kiss him with true love...That's the day the curse will break and he will turn into prince again. But before that he cannot tell her the true story.
Now...lets come to ASR.
Yes he is the bad guy ofcourse.The beast who hurts everyone.But why? Because he has a painful past. His father betrayed them. His mother died (probably did suicide) leaving him and his sister alone in this world. He does not believe in love anymore. He has lost faith in emotions. He has learnt to live ALONE. He does not believe anymore that one person could care about another person without any return. He has leaned to HATE the world. He was being a beast...UNTILL he meets this amaizing girl KHUSHI!
Just like Bella (beauty) she is also an exceptional girl. Who loves to help people, loves to sing and dance...loves to talk to the birds and animals.
Now the beast (=ASRš) has locked her in his castel (=contractš)
She is totally his victim. He tortures her...hurts her...captures her...never lets her get out of his castle. He forces her to dance with him...to live with him. She feels scared...she is hurt...but she is KHUSHI. She knows how to love even the worst. She teaches him to smile...she overlooks his beasty outside and touches his heart...she teaches him to love. Even in that haunted castle she finds happiness...she fills the garden with songs. He falls in love with her. But he fears that she will go away one day like his parents. He knows that he is a beast and she will never love him. The more he realizes this truth, the more he becomes scared. scared of loneliness...he fears that if she leaves him he will be left all alone in his haunted castle. No one will ever love him, no one will come closer to him. He knows only Khushi can save him with her love...but he cannot tell her the true story. He just have to keep being the beast and He just have to wait and hope that may be she will love him despite all his badness and kiss him one day to break the curse.
Remember what happens in the fairy-tale then?š³
one day beauty wants to return home to see her sick father. The beast becomes scared. He fears she will never come back so he refuses her to let go. She begs. She promises that she will return but beast doesn't listen. Being failed to convince him bella starts crying sitting in the garden. And then...It's then when the beast realizes that he cannot see her crying! He discovers that he cares for her so much that even if she never returns and he remains an ugly beast rest of his life...still he cannot see her tears. So he lets her go and hides inside his room. And then...hehe you guys know the rest right?š Well in our IPK this part is yet to show. Lets see whats happens to OUR Gorgeous beauty n HOT beast!š
