CHAPTER 14

"You could have done that without getting married even"

"I could have Anjali but still my mom feared people will make up stories if I live here with an unmarried guy who is out of his mind, so inorder to shut their mouths up I had to do this"

"Oh really???"

"Anjali don't you know our neighbours? And don't you know me? How could you even think like that about me?"

Khushi was completely heart broken. She sat down on the floor crying. Anjali was now standing and suppressing her smile.

"Khushi dear get up. I cant act more"

Khushi was stunned she looked up at Anjali who was now laughing her heart out.

"Khushi my dear get up. I was kidding you. What did you think? Did you really believe that your Anji was going to blame you for this condition? Could you really believe me?'

"Anjali you were kidding me?"

"Its Anji Khushi"

"No now its ANJALI"

Anjali knew that Khushi was serious now.

"Khushi before I came to your room, I had a nightmare and then I could remember everything which happened to me and every single thing after that. I wanted to inform you about my state and I came to you. But then I thought it would be nice if I pull your legs because it has been a week since we have had fun."

"You were thinking of having fun? Anjali how could you? You should not have said all those to me. I really thought that you would throw me out of your lives. For you everything may seem to be a joke but it is not the same for me who have seen my loved ones battle for their life. You don't know what I had went through when both of you were unconscious and the doctor told me about your states"

"Sorry Khushi I just wanted to inorm my state to you shocking you"

"And you were very much successful in that I think"

"I said na I'm really sorry for that Khushi please forgive me" Anjali said in a pleading tone.

Now it was Khushi's turn to laugh her heart out.

"Maine bhi tujhe ullu bana diya na?( even I fooled you na?)"

"What?"

"What did you think Anji that I will accept defeat after you fooled me? No way Anji now I'm even your bhabhi so ..!!!"

Saying this the best friends hugged each other.

"Yeah right my lovely bhabhi. But Lavanya?"

"We could not do anything about that na?"

"I was really angry with you that you did not come with us that day, but now I think god planned it that way along"

"You know Anji that day finally Arnav orced me to come with him"

"What ?"

"Yeah and then on the way we saw an accident but never thought that it could be you both and we passed the spot. We reached the temple and tried calling you and finally an officer attened the call. We rushed to the hospital and Arnav lost it when he heard that you lost your memory"

"What? When he heard I lost my memory and not when he heard Lavanya was dead?"

Khushi hadn't noticed that then , she could not think of a reason when Anji asked that.

"May be because bhai was more attached to me?"

"Maybe Anji"

"OK Khushi bhabhi it is very late. Better go and sleep now. I also can sleep peacefully tonight I hope"

"Yeah right . BTW call me Khushi ok"

"Why dont you like being referred to as Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada's wife?"

"Its not that Anji, I would love to"

"What?"

"I said that you have been calling me Khushi for the last 15 years, so keep calling me Khushi itself"

"Ok if it is so"

"ok then good night"

"GOOD NIGHT"

Khushi went back to her room, happy that Anjali was back to normal now. Now she had only Arnav to bring back to normal now and she was sure that she would be able to do that very soon with the help of Anjali.

She reached her room and kissed Arnav on the forehead and then slept peacefully. Anjali on the other hand could not sleep. She was thinking of the incidents which took place just before the accidents which only she and Lavanya knew.

FLASHBACK

"Bhabhi where are you lost? Get into the car!"

"Sorry Anjali. I was wondering where Khushi is?"

"oh she is not well. Would you mind driving. I'm not in a mood to"

"Sure Anjali, I will"

"Thanks"

Lavanya took the driver's seat as Anjali shifted to the passenger seat. Anjali got a phone call. It was Arnav.

"Anji why did you call me so many times? Aren't you driving?"

"No bhai, bhabhi is driving"

"And Khushi?"

"Bhai actually she was the reason I called you. She is not well so she hasn't come with us. She is resting at home. I called you so that if you could convince her to come, later after seeing her condition, I thought it will be better if she rests."

"Ok. BTW where have you reached?"

"bhai we have covered half the distance. Better you catch up fast."

"Ok. I'll be there soon"

Anjali cut the call after talking to Arnav.

"Bhai had called to ask where we had reached. And I'm sure he will surely bring Khushi along, that is why I told him about her not coming with us."

"Anjali shall I tell you something"

"Yeah Bhabhi"

"Please listen carefully and do not over react. I want you to tell ASR about this"

"What is the matter bhabhi?"

"I think I should not marry Arnav, there is someone else who loves him more than herself and she would be perfect for ASR"

"What are to saying bhabhi? Who are you talking about?"

"Anjali I'm sure that you will be happy after hearing that."

"What? Bhabhi are you kidding me? Why are you creating lots of surprises?"

"Ok I will be straight forward. It is none other than Khushi. She loves Arnav a lot."

"Are you joking Bhabhi? Khushi loves bhai? Are you trying to fool me?"

"Nope Anjali. I'm speaking the truth. And Khushi told me this. She has been in love with Arnav for a long time and its just because Arnav hasn't understood that she is backing out."

"Khushi told you instead of telling me or bhai?"

"In fact I felt that during our first meeting itself and I bothered to ask her. She said that to me in the park when you both went to get ice-cream for us. She also told me that she would never come in between us and she wants him to be happy. I had to promise her that I wont tell about this to ASR. So I want you to talk to ASR about this. I knew that today Khushi will avoid coming with us and see I was right."

"I cant believe this Lavanya"

"See Anjali somewhere you even wanted Khushi to be your bhabhi and not me that is why you just now referred me as Lavanya."

"May be but thank you, if it was not you then we would never have understood that"

"Anything for you lot"

"Lavanya look ...!!!"

CRASHHH

END OF FLASHBACK...!!!

"Khushi bhabhi, you thought that you would hide your feelings from me, but see everything was out in the open at least to me before everything happened. When I said you took advantage of the situation, I actually meant it. You wanted to be with your love which could have been lost forever, so you married bhai in order to be with him forever. Khushi I know you love him and me a lot. If I was in your place may be I would not have done this. I would never have sacrificed my life for a person who is out of his mind. I always knew Khushi that you were selfless and go to any extent for your loved ones. You are the best Khushi. I'm really happy that you are my bhabhi. I cant even imagine what would have happened to us if you were not there around. And I know you will keep bhai happy forever"
