Yeah, the promo wasn't impressive. It seemed like they hastily put it together.
Oh really? I didnt see the faces close enough to recognize them. Are they good actors?

Neha is cute but i hvn't seen her acting yet.I think she will look good in da role of Sita but donno whether she will give justice 2 her role or not.Gagan too is somewhat goodlooking, dekhte hain inki acting kaise hogi?
Jst like sonarika, dese two also hv 2 face big challenges as ppl will constantly compare dem wid GC and Debina.

In my opinion, I am not going to watch Ramayan again because yeah 2008 and 1986 versions were great and i have watched raavan on zee tv and there movies based on lord ram and lord hanuman. its going to be thhe same old concept with raavan kidnaping devi sita and lord ram saved her with the help of hanuman. (but if they show what happened to lord ram and devi sita's children luvv and kush, then i'll think about it) plus less information was known to ppl about lord shiva. im pretty sure most of us didnt know who devi sati was before dkdm was launched because devi parvati was more often shown as his consort. so im only watchingg dkdm

I too may not watch this Ramayan because I'm satisfied with the previous versions. Both the 1986 and 2008 ones taught me stuff I didn't know, so I doubt the new one will teach me more unless it shows Luv Kush after Lord Ram.

whats the point in this remake? I am itching to post it ever since i read it on TOI.

As it is the 2008 one was not much different from 1986 one, with even dialogues mostly same. and this one seems to be a short cut way.

Yes had they been redoing using Valmiki Ramayan as source, okay could have understood. But they will use the same tulsidasi, krittibashi ramayan as sources and in the name of research will copy everything from last ramayan.

Knowing sagars, they will have same set, same costume, same dialogues, same sequence , same song from 2008 with different faces.

So why make it? The 2008 one just ended two yrs back, whats the need of doing it again? Beats me.

They can copy everything, but they can't copy Gurmeet and Debina, can they? The leads of 2008 Ramayan were the reason people fell in love with the show in the first place. Even other actors were good, but Imagine's Ramayan was the first Ramayan in which the jodi of Ram and Sita was shown to be realistic, natural, and romantic without being filmy. The romantic scenes were touching without being too modern, and there was something to learn from all of them. Zee Tv's Ramayan can copy everything from NDTV Imagine's Ramayan, but they cannot copy the leads so we have to see how people will react to this new Ram and Sita. It is going to be very tough competition for them because so many Gurmina/Gurmeet/Debina fans refuse to watch this show, and they make a huge audience already. Where will TRPs come when so many have already made up their mind not to watch it?

Needless to say the imagine tvs Ramayan was produced by Sagar arts itself which indeed a great plus point. I dont think so many may turn out to watch the upcoming Ramayan unlike the leads have Chemistry like Imagine tv Ramayan or DKDM leads. IMO chemistry plays an important role in mytho serials also.
