One thing I've noticed -

He responds more to poetry-style appreciation of nature/life/philosophy etc...

If not, he responds to those who have something specific to say about the nuances of acting/screenplay/dramatics/the episode/his role etc...

he barely responds to the typical 'fan' style praise of you're lovely, handsome, great good-actor waala compliments 😊
