SRK obviously is a bigger star but Ajay does have his own star power as well...I heard that SOS release date was fixed last year itself...dunno about SRK-YRF one...if SOS release date was announced first then I think the other movie should be postponed, esp since SOS trailer has already come out...either way I think they should really negotiate and not release on the same day coz no matter which movie turns out to be the ultimate winner, both movies would lose its share of profits...hence, it's best for both the movies to not release on the same day.

SRK-YC movie is getting postponed IMO. Has that movie even completed shooting? No trailers..no name of the movie yet. I doubt SRK movie will be release during Diwali.

And if it is releasing during Diwali then it will dominate the high-end multiplexes whereas SOS should be strong in North/CP-Berar/Central India and single screens. Action movies seems to do better in North India.

as per Aamir Khan dont worry about 2 or 3 films together if your product well and both diffrent film than give chance to public they will decide what they want to see Aamir Khan released TZP with Welcome i dont think any one can take risk like this he released JTYNJ with very well hyped love story2050 so please check your product and release same day dont worry.

Its more than ego.

Its one of the top 3 busiest weekends in the country. Diwali, Eid and Christmas. Now the IPL ending weekend is getting up there too. Nobody wants to give away this weekend. Yeh 3 weekend Yash Raj ke baap ke nahi hai.

YRF film will suffer more than SOS IMO. YRF can't really take SOS's masala audience away from it but SOS can and will take some SRK fans. I hope Ajay doesn't back down.

they r behind and shld postpone their release date bcz they r scared Not Ajay whose movie's trailers r already out

and ppl r really underestimating Ajay's star power 😉...

SRk has star power more than ajay only in overseas but even in overseas Singham did really good

and Ra one crossed 100 crore ... all bcz of hype and dropped badly on Monday 😆 while Tezz and Rascals never were promoted like Ra one

agree ... if ur product aka movie is good it will do good business

gadar vs Lagaan ...released on same day and both blockbusters ...same with Dil and Ghayal , ghatak and Raja hindustani

Sawariya was Flop NOT bcz of OSO but bcz movie was bad

and during Diwali Two movies can survive easily ...and worry of Yash camp despite having SRK and kat shows that their product is not good

if ur movie is not good it won't survive even if u release it without any competition

When did anyone say that SRK owns the Diwali slot? I said its not fair to say that SRK is running scared while Ajay is confident. To me its definitely a clash of egos and Ajay is no innocent. He is as much a egotist as SRK. Just because he doesnt speak much to the media doesnt mean he is an angel.

Coming to this article this writer has an opinion about every release because thats his job and not because his paymaster is SRK. He even said ETT will make 200Crs+. So now thats paid by SRK too?

As for postponing the film or releasing it...who are we to decide? How do we know the completition status of it? Many times trailers come out and yet some shooting is left(ex: Department). And many times the movie is complete while trailers arent released(Ex: Kahaani). It was YRF who had announced last Oct-Nov that their next movie with SRK is releasing in Diwali 2012. Ajay announced the Diwali slot for his film much later. So who really is being adamant here?

Good for you if you think SRK has no starpower. I couldnt care less really what anyone thinks. For me I dont care who has more starpower and whose film makes money. I just hope I get my money's worth.

Thats because Salman karein to raas leela...SRK karein to character dheela over here. If 2000 screens are booked for Salman's film its fine as he is a huge star. If the same number of films are booked for SRK's film he is insecure. And fyi date for the YRF film was announced much before SoS.
