is 25 d right age for nidhi to be a mom?

we know now its gonna be DB+ ASHU v /s NIDHI now...
former insistin on baby.. latter not...
but do u think nidhi is ready to take these responsibilities... esp considerin d fact that she isnt even a graduate ... yes family support is gonna be there ..but after d baby is born ,nidhi gotta take atleast a yr or two break... if at all she goes back to study !
so 6 months +1 yr + 1/2 yr = 2/3 yrs
so was wonderin if this is d right time for her?

Deepa, I speak from personal experience...

I was 21 when I had my son...and 22 when I had my daughter...


I went back to do my PG when I was 23...my family backed me completely...I became a professional at 25...and I have been working since then...my children have never been a limiting factor when it comes to my career...but again, this is because my parents and husband gave me complete support!

But, like you mentioned in another post, age is just a number...what matters is the individual situation...what maybe right for one person may not be right for another...

But looking at it practically, if Ashutosh has to wait till Nidhi completes her masters and specializes further, then he will be fifty before he becomes a dad...

Speaking of Nidhi, I think despite her occasional immaturity, she is a girl who is very sensible and smart...she is great with children too and more than capable of handling responsibilities...

Ideally, I would think Nidhi should start planning a family after she completes her internship...take a break just before the baby is born...and then go back to her masters once the baby is close to a year old...

I voted No...Baby is a big responsibility...And as such..She is not mentally Prepared to have Baby...If she is then its OK..but if she is not..she will not enjoy that 9 months period...she may be irritated

Voted for Yes. Biologically 25 is an ideal age to get a child. Yet the individuals mental maturity and attitude, inclination to take responsibility is more important. Here Nidhi has married a man in his 40s. so she must consider his dilemma as well. This is a small penalty she has to pay for her decision to marry a much older person..If she is smart both baby and career can go parallel. After all she is not a teen girl to say she is too young for a baby.

But it depends on so many factors around us.. I mean family , in which age got married, mentality of family , husband's wish, wife's wish etc etc...

In nidhi's case BB is broad minded till now he never said about this... But nidhi's family I mean DB want n she convinced ashu also...

Yes. Having a child is a very big responsibility...but if you have supporting system at home (physically and mentally), no problem to go for a child while completing internship and then continue with higher studies...

The saying where there is a will there is a way completely is the most suitable one in this situation...

as DB says, she doesnt need to sit at home to nibhao that pregnancy-pan..in fact she should accupy her self in her job instead of sitting at home and gaining weight unnecessarily..

Even if she has to take 2 / 3 years gap to take care of the children, after a long term, those 2 / 3 years would nt matter at all... But if she takes a longer gap...it will be a difficult situation for a woman to digest the fact that she is a junior to her own peers...

as far as Nidhi is concerned, till now she has been uninterested in her career and aaj achanak se interest dikhaaya toh, it wil add one number to that inconsistencies count in KTLK

Good poll Deepa...Considering Ashu's age she should think about it n 25 is very much okayish age to huv a baby,so voted fr Yes..

Even from Nidhi's own point of view, she will be thirty plus by the time she completes her internship, her MD and specialization etc...as a dcotor, am sure she herself is aware of how a first pregnancy at 30 plus comes with its own risks for both the mother and the child...

Besides, having married a man who is 18 years older to her, she has to factor in his compulsions as well before making a choice...

Like Mudra pointed out, even a year or two's break now may not make a big difference at her age...at Ashutosh's age, it will make a big difference if they postpone a family till Nidhi settles down in her career...like DB pointed out, am sure even Nidhi would not appreciate her husband looking like their child's grandpa! Looks apart, he should be physically and mentally fit for child rearing...!
