Isha - A small comparison

So for all those saying Isha's dance was overhyped and that her act didn't deserve 30 for "dancing", check this dance out from SYTYCD. Its by Ellenore and Jakob. Their act was unanimously praised. This is only to let you guys know that dancing isn't just the number of movements you make. Its about how well/creatively you use your body to portray a scenario.

Isha deserved this and even more. Having flexibility is one thing, using it creatively is different. Using props (the rope at the end where she climbs the pillar) creatively with your choreography is different and expressions and the general story is very different.

Shampa and Sushant did the same thing last year, but even as a huge Shampa fan, I have to admit, Salman was MINDBLOWING with his choreography. Unfortunately, the girl (as a ghost) takes prominence in this kind of act, and Sushant couldnt do much - just like Salman). But hands down, Isha >>>>> Shampa in this act comparison.

I know they are so beautiful. I was really rooting for NappyTabs because they've made me ADORE hiphop, Sonya's are literally breathtaking.

And Jakob... 😍

People who are making comments about ISHA and SALMAN saying they don't deseve 30 are either completly blind OR wearing a Horseblinders. Psychologically impaired. Seriously what a joke. Kaun hai yeh log.

Its because in India, we have a very different view of dance. Even Bhangra and Kathak, or even the bollywood dances have a lot of co-ordinated movements so people assume, lack of straightforward steps is not dancey enough. That's the problem.

Saw the link for this thread from another thread.

Great post. I agree that it's not just about the number of moves/steps but how the dancers utilize their bodies in creative ways that makes the dance appealing. But people will see this differently depending on who you're talking to.

Thanks for the video too.

esha's expertise is not in question here. if you compare all her dances you will see that they all look same. only the props are different. lot of similarities in her bull fight and 3 ka takda dance. if you recall in the beginning remo told esha that flexibility is her forte but she has to show different types of dance and yes they include kathak and bhangra. dont you think that could have been a challenge for her.
even in teen ka tadka they made sure that they brought someone decent looking and who had also previously won dance competition so as to make sure they win.
