"Look at what you did!" he scolded her. The blood was making its trail down her arm and closing her elbow. He held it up to level it to the ground so as to stop the blood from flowing down.

"Hey, I'm fine. Really, it's no big deal." She said trying to sound assuring. She wasn't worried about the pain at all. She just wanted the worry to go away from Rey's face. She didn't know why but it was troubling her.

He wouldn't take that as an answer. Swayam was few feet away, helping Nil and Vicky to recover from the shock. Even he paused for a second to see Rey reply, "Shut up! You call this no big deal! Just look at all the blood loss. What if something had happened to you'.!"

This worry for her was pleasant. At the same time, it worried her. "But nothing happened. And that's the good thing."

He shook his head in disbelief and took out his handkerchief and ignoring her excuses, tied it around her arm. "This will stop the flow for the moment. But you're coming with us."

"Thanks but there's no need of it. I'll do the dressing when I get to hotel."

Swayam had come there by then. "Hotel? No ways are we letting you go. As it seems, you're alone."

Kriya tried to object but neither of them would listen to her. "Guys, really. I'm not alone. My friend is with me. I'll be fine."

"Then where is your friend?" Rey asked.

Kriya replied, "He's not here right now. But he'll be waiting at the hotel. I have to go or he'll worry. Please?"

They wouldn't listen. Rey said, "Then call him and let him know that you're coming with us to my house."

"But'"

Swayam continued and used blackmailing, "Please. You've helped us and saved us. Let us help you now."

All four of them looked at her with hopeful, pleading eyes. She couldn't ignore them. "Exactly the reason I stay away from people!" she shot back in frustration.

"What?" they all asked at the same time, feeling a bit offended and not understanding what exactly she meant by that.

"Nothing. Give me your phone." She thrust out her hand in front of Rey as if it was an order.

He asked, "Where's yours?"

"I left it on the counter there which is upside down now. So my guess would be somewhere in the sand." She answered without thinking as a matter of fact.

He took his out of his jacket pocket and handed it to her. "Intelligent and beautiful." He thought to himself.

Kriya talked to herself. "Uh' number'"

Rey rolled his eyes. "Don't tell me you don't know the number."

Kriya shot back, "Hey! I don't type the number each time I call him you know. I had him on speed-dial in my phone."

"Alright, just try to remember." Swayam replied, stepping in between both of them before an argument stroked.

Kriya really couldn't remember the number. So what she did was dial 121. It took her directly to the headquarters reception and she said, "Can I speak to Karan?"

The person asked back, "Who is this?"

"Tiger." She replied.

Everyone was confused. The person on the line and the group. Rey thought in head, 'Tiger?! What kind of a name is that for a girl?"

Kriya looked around and after a second past, she realized none of them got it. She was used to only talking to Karan on the phone that she forgot that the person on the line probably doesn't know that Karan calls her Tiger, seeing that she's always ready for a fight.

"I mean Kriya." She cleared the confusion.

The person understood who she was and got Karan on line immediately. Kriya waited for him to come on.

Rey repeated her name. "Kriya. Such a sweet name."

Swayam heard that but acted, "Did you say something?"

Rey shook his head and Swayam bit back the smile on his face. He knew, from tonight on, Rey's life was going to be more interesting and Swayam can finally have a person to tease Rey with.

"Tiger, where are you?" Karan asked with worried tone. Seeing the worry on Karan's face, Shilpa was a bit taken aback. Before, she had only seen that kind of worry for two people: Rajveer and herself. She wondered who Tiger could be.

"Em, Red." She replied. She couldn't tell the details to him but saying red, he understood that there was an encounter.

"Rey's around you? You already met him!" he asked back.

Hearing this sentence, Shilpa eased up a bit. The jealousy that had crept up her face vanished knowing that the person he was so worried for is Kriya. She was glad to see the worry on his face for her' glad to see that things had worked out' the sacrifice had not gone to waste.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Uh'" Kriya started.

Swayam took the phone from her as she really was testing his patience. He spoke to Karan, "Hey Karan. This is Swayam. Actually, Kriya's a bit hurt and as she saved our lives; you don't mind if we take her to our house for the night, right?"

"Sure. I don't mind. Can you give phone to Kriya?" Karan replied back.

"Ya?" Kriya said as she got the phone back. Swayam was curious to know about the friendship and he turned the phone to speaker. The light on Karan's phone turned red, letting him know that the speaker was on and he would have to be careful with what he said.

Karan replied, "You're hurt? Not much right?"

"It's just a small cut. I'll be fine. Why does everyone make a big deal out of it!" she asked back.

Rey along with others shook their head in pleasure. Usually, girls they knew would take the whole world on top with just a small nail scratch and no blood. And here, Kriya was in front of them and asking why it was a big deal that she got cut! It was definitely amusing for them.

Rey's head was going around in circles. A girl for the first time in life was confusing him. One moment, she was so simple and silent and the next moment, she was fighting back to goons. Figuring her out would be the toughest thing for him, and he knew that now.

Karan shot back with concern, "You listen to me Kriya. Next time you hurt yourself, you're under house-arrest."

"House-arrest!" she repeated with surprise. Others around her giggled hearing the conversation; including Shilpa. Kriya could make out a girl giggling as well from all the boys around him. She couldn't ask there but she made a note to ask him later on about it.

"Now don't start that repeating game again and go with them. Behave and don't bother them as much as you bother me. Eat what is served, no excuses and listen to them. You know what else to do."

"Fine." She replied sternly. She hated being bossed around. Even if it was from Karan. But she knew better than to ignore his 'threat'. She continued, "But once I get back, we're gonna have a serious discussion."

She had said that in low voice and the boys pretended to not hear that. She ended the call and gave it back to Rey. "Now don't just stand there. Get me home and something nice to eat. As it is, Nil ruined my cold cocoa."

They giggled at her reply. She turned to take a step and yelled out in pain. "Ow!"

Everyone stopped and looked back to see her holding her knee. Without caring much about the sand or thinking that her clothes' will get dirty, she sat down and clutched her knee harder.

"What happened?" Swayam and Rey asked together.

She replied sheepishly, "I think I misplaced my knee bone while I kicked that *******." She motioned towards another unconscious person.

Everyone gave a wide eyed look at her choice of word. She saw that and realized she shouldn't have. But she was used to cussing a lot and no one had ever stopped her. One of the reasons she didn't socialize much. It was just how she was. But here, she apologized sweetly. "Opsie, sorry. I'm just not used to watching my language. See, it's only Karan I usually have to deal with'"

Rey shook his head in disbelief and cut her talk, "Do you have a history of hurting yourself?"

She shot him a glare and he continued, "No just asking, you know - for future reference, So I can keep a first aid box ready to go."

"Ha-ha. Very funny! Now help me get up." She ordered him and held out her hand in front of her.

His friends enjoyed the moment. It wasn't every day that they get to see a girl ordering Reyansh Singhania around. Rey shot them a death glare. Swayam replied, "Hey, don't look at me. I'm not as strong as you muscle-man. Help her up." He was already enjoying whatever was starting to form between Rey and Kriya.

Rey again gave him a death glare and instead of helping her up, he bent and picked her up in his arms, bridal style.

She hit his chest, "Hey what are you doing? I told you to help me up."

He replied back, "You see, I can't take any more chances of you hurting yourself. At least not tonight."

"Argh! How selfish!" she said to him. He completely ignored her and started walking. She stopped hitting and put on an angry look. His friends followed behind. Just then, Rey's cell rang. He wasn't in the position of taking it, so he looked at Swayam for help.

Sure enough, he pulled the cell out of Rey's pocket and looked at the caller ID. He informed, "Siren." And the boys' face went all dark.

Kriya asked, "What's wrong?"

Rey shook his head and told Swayam to pick it up. Hesitantly, he did. Before he could say a greeting, the girl started blasting, "Rey, where the hell are you?! You all were supposed to be here half hour ago!" Swayam moved the cell a bit away from his ear, to save it from going deaf.

She was standing by the window, looking out at the street, hoping to see their car coming from around the corner. When she didn't, she turned around, revealing her face. It was Sharon. She was wearing a Spaghetti strapped yellow dress.

Swayam replied, "Uh this is Swayam."

Sharon's mouth turned in 'O' formation as the anger was suddenly replaced by fluster and shyness.

"Where's Rey?" she asked, regaining her emotions.

Swayam looked towards Rey while re replied, "Err, busy right now. We were just leaving for your house when'" and he narrated the whole incident to her from when Kriya entered, the goons coming, and how she saved them as well. "Kriya got a bit hurt as a result. So we're taking her to Rey's house."

Sharon was a bit taken aback by the events. She, after all, wasn't used to knowing about this type of sudden events. Her first question was worry filled, "Are you okay? I- I mean is everyone okay?"

"Yeah, we're fine."

"Alright, you guys take care of Kriya. We can have the dinner some other time. Bye." She replied and ended the call ASAP to save herself from blabbering out something else she shouldn't.

Swayam put the cell in his own pocket for now and went towards her cab to tell driver to follow them, but found no one there. He assumed that the driver left when he saw the fight. The keys were gone and so Kriya's bags were locked in.

She said, "No way am I going without my bag; at least not without my purse.

"And how are we going to get that?" Swayam asked.

As a reply, Rey made Kriya sit on the trunk. He moved his hand on her hair and for a second, she was afraid of what he'll do next. The way he looked into her eyes gave a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. He simply pulled out a black pin from her hair and handed it to Swayam. Kriya opened her eyes that she had shut due to fear and felt foolish for thinking the other thing.

He knew what Rey meant and picked at the lock. Opening the door, he gave her purse to Rey who handed it to her and said, "I can't open the trunk with this. You'll have to do with this."

She nodded. All she cared about was her purse, as it had the important things she needed. She could go and buy new clothes. But can't go and buy herself a new badge now, can she? He picked her back in his arms and they walked over to Rey's car.

Rey walked to the passenger side of the car and carefully, made her sit on the chair. Swayam, Nilesh and Vicky settled in the back and the drive started. Rey remembered how she had shut her eyes out of fear of what he'll do next.

He smiled to himself. Another confusion: She wasn't afraid when fighting the goons, but was afraid when he forwarded his hand. Those goons were 10 times dangerous than him. Yet, she wasn't afraid of them but was afraid of him. Oh, how he prayed that they get a way to see each other daily! He was getting sad of thinking that she would only stay the night' And then, who knew where they'll meet again. If they did'
