what happened to SMJ ? despite gaining great initial response, it has fizzled out its pretty bad. what could be the reason...now a days i don't hear abt promotions, when it started it was all over the internet now we hear nothing abt it, no articles too...even the trp's have dropped drastically. its really sad tht these kind of show don't pick up even though they are tried hard...people move on so easily. i don't think its coming back for a season 2 no matter how many claims are made by the channel. the audiences want retarded shows like big boss and main teri sati savitri shows...dats it

Anyways I think SMJ did create an awareness about female feoticide and doctors sponging of patients. There is lot of discussion still going on these 2 issues which is great. For female feoticide there was maha khap called to ban it. Some states have decided to enforce doctors prescribe generic meds to patients.

Whatever happened to the show now but at lest he has opened the eyes of government and Aam admni on certain issues. We never know when it will be helpful to us.

Smj is a cult show , trp are mostly manipulated as we all know . SMJ has worked in grass root level , had amassed huge donations for few organisations . That itself is a good start

As much as I agree with your points on smj calling ppl who watch biggboss & soaps retarded is so unwarranted

ok if thats offensive i go with the other way round...would say the audience apt for 'retarded shows' however it doesn't make much difference to me.

and SMJ has amaassed donations for few organizations, that has been done by many past shows in doordarshan as well, i don't see a big change, even on facebook there are pics which clearly depicts that despite of appreciation, only few people came out for the support..regarding all the episdoes.. the impact was mostly made up. though i respect the novelty of the show as it was well made, i am not gonna agree with the change tht its talking abt unless i get some valid proof...there are things...'jo aaj kahe aur kal bhool gaye' its mainly becoz of the state and the countrymen that's so dried up.
