Coming to Parineeti though I liked her in LVRB and in the promos of Ishaaqzaade I would still be cautious and watch her future performances. She has done similar roles in both films. Does she have a good range as a performer to move ahead? She isnt the typical glamour girl and tends to overshadow her heroes. That will be a huge handicap for her in the future in bagging projects opposite big stars. The only way she can move forward is coming out as a good actress.

Why just Anushka? Vidya balan got really overrated on BS a few months ago and before that Bebo was extremely overrated on the forum and before that Deepika and Priyanka used to be really overrated here.

It's human nature to use one person to deride the other, people have used Vidya to deride bebo, they have used bebo to deride PC.. etc etc... About the rat race.. i think every actress provides variety, in the newer ones Parineeti and Anushka are known for their raw acting, Sonam is the girl next door, deepika might end up becoming the next PC and might do roles like fashion and aitraaz. Overall, I think we have a great mix of actresses.

I am going to take a very different stance from everyone here to declare that Asin is a FINE performer. She was fantastic in Ghajini, and, in my opinion, would have shone brilliantly as Veronica too.

Asin is taking up insignificant roles voluntarily, according to one of her interviews. She wants to star in big hits, form contacts, and then move on to polished roles. I like her. I am sure she will rock in a good role :)

As for Sonam, never liked her as a performer. Never will. And, yeah, Anushka can get on my nerves sometimes.

^^^Hasnt she already acquired good contacts with Akshay, Ajay, Salman? When will she be done with her acquiring contacts spree? What's the guarantee she will get good roles after the kind of roles on her resume? Last heard that despite her contacts only role she has on hand where the first choice was Nargis Fakhri. Obviously her contacts arent helping her much.

I am not saying this is a good phase for Asin, but I have seen her in South Indian films, and she is truly gifted. It takes hard work for a Southie performer to make a mark in Bollywood, and hence I am not surprised that she hasn't yet hit the big league. But she is already much ahead than her other Southie colleagues, such as Trisha or Jyotika or Simran who couldn't make any kind of mark in this industry. At least Asin was chosen for two big hits, even if her roles were forgettable.

But none of this implies that she can't act. In my opinion, she is far better than Deepika or Anushka or Parineeti :)
