DEEPIKA: Should SONAM, ASIN, ANUSKHA worry now?!!!

Prior topic changed from Glamsham interview for Deepika on Cocktail.

Since the prior Deepika interview did not find any takers, I wanted to spice up the topic and bring in a challenge from her contemporaries. 😉 With Cocktail becoming a surprise hit and achieving critical acclaim for Deepika's performance, this girl has indeed taken huge strides. This bodes well for her upcoming films with Ranbir Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi. And we all know Race 2 is a guaranteeed success since it is a multi-starrer. The main question, should SONAM, ASIN, ANUSKHA worry now?! SONAM is pretty much done career wise, ASIN is not really doing anything substantial like DEEPIKA, and ANUSKHA just does supporting roles in Yash Raj films. Is it safe to say Deepika has sailed to the #1 spot in her generation with just one film? I am not saying she has beaten Kat, Bebo, and Priyanka. 😆 DEEPIKA is just enjoying her current surprise success with COCKTAIL right now. Please share your thoughts! 😃

jaldbaazi ki koi zaroorat nahin.. I personally like her a lot, but then one performance is too soon to blow everyone out of the water immediately.

I sincerely hope she's consistent in her performances from now on.. I really hope she does well in all her roles.

Hmmm not really.Even though she is getting praises for her perfimacne,Deepika still has to do alot more.(being criticizing crazen :P )

I just want her to do better and better with each movie!

thing is I haven't seen Cocktail yet. Many have said she did well though so i'll take it from them...

but she's not consistent. I thought she was amazingg in Lafange Parinde.. but apparently so it took her about 3-4 years to do an amazing job, again.

SONAM can't do a movie like COCKTAIL, neither can ASIN. I bet ANUSKHA could have done it easily, but she is still dependent on YASH RAJ. DEEPIKA still has the edge because she has worked with so many directors/banners! 😉

yeah I was suprised to see Rajeev Masand praising her performance... and I usually agree with his take on performance so she must have been good... I think in the review he said she stole the show.

But again like livearch mentioned, one film is too soon to say she is #1 in the younger generation... because I think Anuska is a better actress than her.

Am kind of curious to watch cocktail now... Rajeev gave it 2 stars though... so not sure how good the film might be.. am just curious about deepikas performance
