"Kushi" Anjali called her from the hall couch where she was sitting with payal.
"di"
"We are deciding on the menu for day after tomorrow's party kushi" Payal announced her "we decided on three desserts- see if this is ok.. you are the one who is specific about sweets..."
"You both decide Jiji.. I need to go somewhere urgently"
"Kushi is everything alright?"
"You look tensed? where are you going?"
both the sisters asked her with panic alert
"No No nothing jiji..di, I am going to AR.. You know your brother hasnt even taken his food still.. attending meetings from morning.. I thought I need to give him a peice of my mind..I will come and talk to you" she easily lied.
Anjali and Payal relaxed with a smile "Chotey bhi na..give him proper lecture this time"Anjali joked.
Kushi rushed to one of the cars and asked the drivers to take her to AR, all the while her thoughts completely reigned over by the phone call that happened just few mins back again threatening the life of her husband if she denies to move away from him.

Arnav switched on his mobile after a tiring meeting session and glaced at the two messages which came in one after the other, one from kushi and the other from one of the private bodyguards he had hired to watch over the ladies at RM. He decided to look into the later first, which announced that Mrs.Raizada is going out in one of the cars and this person was following her in a safe distance as instructed by him. A slight frown appeared in his face before it disappeared. HE hated it when she went out without informing him, that too at this juncture... but he cannot blame her, "she doesnt know the knife is stil hanging on top of our head" he thought before he proceeded to look into the other one.
"I am coming to AR. please dont consume anything until I come" Her SMS was more confusing.
"She is coming here? but why?" he thought
Her arrival at AR was announced by the same bodyguard's second message which came in after some 20 mins.
After almost another 10 mins, after the deal was signed and the clients sent off, Arnav saw her waiting for him at his cubicle all tensed and nail biting...
"hey hi! what a surprise?"he called out to her
"oh my! thank god you are safe!" was all kushi could manage to say before she jumped up and ran to hug him ignorant of the fact that he was followed by Akaash and two of his other staff members.
"Kushi?" A short warning tone alerting her not to go beyond that level of PDA soon made her aware of the presence of other members in the room.
"wha? oh erm sorry..eh.. I didnt notice, I shall wait outside" she said quickly.
"No thats ok, wait in the couch over there" Arnav told her pointing to the couch in one corner of his room "this will be over super quick!" he told her in an almost whisper
"Yeah ok" she murmered back
"u Ok Bhabhi?"Akaash asked her while passing to which she nodded and managed a week smile
Arnav had a quick discussion and disposed his staff and Akaash as he had promised and then smirked at her.
"Now tell me!"
"wipe that smirk off you face this is serious" She almost shouted.
"I will wear my smirk as I like! and what do you expect me to do if my voice mail is filled with your voice and my message box with messages from you for a two hour meeting I attend and I get a suprise hug when I step into my cubicle after a long tiring meeting with clients?"
"I didnt intend to leave so many voice mails... I was only talking to myself vexed that you wont pick up your calls and that got registered and I sent only one message" she told him indignantly "speaking of which you didnt consume anything in this two hours na?" she asked hopefully
"No I didnt, I told you I was in a meeting" he told her slightly annoyed
"what about your lunch? what and where did you eat?"
"I had whatever you sent in dabba Kushi. enough? and yeah I had my medicines too"
"oh ok..then it should have been safer...did you have anything else coffee, juice?" she was again speaking to herself
"No, was little occupied with work from morning...now what is this obsession with my eating routine Kushi?" He was confused and annoyed
"No ..I .. I ws scared for you.. I got a call.. threatening call... Shyam.. he called me..I think he is already out" Kushi spoke out in quick incoherent sentences, not knowing what to tell him first..
Arnav's expression changed from being annoyed to concerned to scared to angry in those few minutes.
"what did that bas***d say?"
"you know this already?"Kushi asked him
"what ?"
"you know that he is out of jail?"
"Kushi, I.."
"you didnt tell me.."
"Kushi I didnt expect him to call and threaten you, I am sorry.. I shall.."he was cut off by her
"No thats not the point.. You hid this from me? oh now I see everything.. The accident.. it was Shyam right?"
"Kushi, I did'nt want to scare you with this news" Arnav went near her tried to console and calm her by holding her close. But she pushed him away
"and here I am, thinking of telling you the first thing.. I came running to stop you from taking anything because he called me and told how easy it is to finish you off.. as easy as slipping a poisoned juice when you are outside." she sobbed.
"Kushi, relax.. it is not that easy to do what he claims to do.. he is just trying to scare you off"
Kushi kept sobbing angry with the entire stuff, still not letting him to touch and console her
"you dont take my fears seriously..you mock my concerns...You hide facts from me...then when it springs up on me one fine day ... I am scared Aranvji...what if something happened to you... I cant..."She couldnt complete it, fell back into the couch as she broke into hysterical sobs
Arnav sat beside her and pulled her into his arms, giving her his shoulders, patting her back while she slowly hiccuped herself trying franctically to stop her sobs.
"I am sorry honey.. I dont mock your concerns, I am really happy and feel touched about your concerns for me... I really am.. I wont keep secrets from you again.. and It was only done to stop you from worrying"
SHe pulled her head from his chest and looked into him, much calmer than she had felt before
"How would keeping this fact away from me keep me from worrying? How would I feel when all the while with that knowledge I could have done something to stop it, I was kept in the dark, sitting like a duck when my family was hunted?"
"thats the sole reason I kept this away from my adventurous wife... I know what she is capable of..." he told her.. trying hard to hide the smirk that rose to his lips..
"I cant believe this...would you prefer a duck for a wife?"
"No I am happy with my tigress. thanks" he told her, the smirk that he tried hard to hide, finally hitting home "only that, I am also worried of her adventurous nature, I would prefer if I went for hunting along with her rather than she trailing off alone into the wild... if thats promised then No more secrets- promise!"
"agreed!" she smiled for the first time in the last two hours."ok, I think I will leave.. Be careful with what you drink .. what you eat..dont accept drinks from any one.. I mean anyone.. " she rattled off while he accompanied her to see her off.
"what are you smirking for" she asked him suddenly
"nothing! I was just wondering what my staff would think"
"regarding what?"
"if they see me nodding feverishly to your non stop instructions.."
"shutup" then she broke into a gigglish laughter clutching his hand
"see you soon" he said still mesmerised by her tinkling laugh
"will you come home soon today?"
"if you wish...Am I am smelling romantic mood?" he winked
"hey you are tricking me"
"what trick" he asked with a puppy dog face
"you said soon.. I am asking you if you will be coming home..and you twist and play with my words.."
He slid his hands around he waist, pulling her close he whispered huskily into her ears "I dont play with words kushi,I would rather play with your waist"
She looked at him. He was throwing impish looks at her lips, she gave a warning look
"this is your office parking lot" she cautioned him
"I dont care" he pulled her face closer, his lips inches apart from hers
"oh when have you cared for anything like this" she sighed exasperatedly
He smiled wickedly against her lips as he closed in the inches.

Minutes later when kushi was still smiling thinking of Arnav's actions at the parking lot, she got a call and she picked the call without even looking at the caller number
"hello" her smile was evident in her voice, which got wiped off as she heard the voice from the other side
"Kushiji!"
"sh..shyamji?"
"you dont understand do you? how many times should I tell you that I dont like Public displays of affections... that too with Arnav?"
"wha.. oh my god.. were you spying on us?"
"you still think I cant be anywhere near you? you trust his claims that he will keep you away from me.. do you? I said I could even spike his juice with poison... thats how easily I can get him...if thats how easily I can get him.."
"No.. NO you cant.. You cant harm him when I am around.. I wont let you"
"you are getting it all wrong Kushi.. I am harming him because you are around.. I give you two options... Get away from him.. or I will finish him off...This is your last chance...you have time till tomorrow. I am tired of all this threats...next time no threats only direct hits"
