Okay, guys, girls... that was the best thing on the planet. I swear. It's unbearably unfair that something you've been counting down for seven months has been over in three days. It really is. I miss all my friends from the MuggleCast FanChat and I nearly cried three times after leaving Lumos. I really miss Lumos. I miss stalking the MuggleCasters and PotterCasters and just having so much fun with them. It's awesome.
Okay, I must admit. I really didn't go there for Harry Potter. That much was evident after the first day--for one, I attended four of a gazillion lectures, and the rest of the time all I did was hang out with my friends, eat Chipotle burritos and stalk (*cough*--HANG OUT) with the MuggleCasters/PotterCasters.
So I go in the first day with my friend Proma, and as soon as we enter, the first two people we see are Melissa and Sue from PotterCast. So we run over to say hi, and they said hi back and it was so cute. I love Melissa and Sue. After Jo, those two are my heros. I heck of love them. Then we go to eat dinner in the Great Hall (well, it was the Valencia), and we see our friend, and we tell her hi and jump around and hug her. Then Proma nudges me and tells me to look ahead. I do it and what do I see? The MuggleNetters and the Leakyers on two tables right next to us. It was very fun. I was talking to my friend a bit, and then Andrew Sims from MuggleCast tells me, "Hey, I like your shirt" (I was wearing my MuggleCast tshirt). I say, "You would, wouldn't you?" and he nodded. So then we go around the table and say hi to them all, and hug them and take pictures with them. It was so much fun.
Friday was Water Quidditch--THAT WAS HECK OF AWESOME. I loved it. I really loved it!
Saturday was the live podcast, which was awesome. I screamed like a fangirl so many times, it was awesome.
Okay, but what I REALLY want to tell, and what you guys should REALLY want to hear is...
THE EMERSON STORY
HAHA. I'm such a fangirl, I know it!
Alright, so Thursday, the day of dinner, I go to Emerson and tell him hi and hug him. He asks my name, which I tell him. Then I ask him for a picture. Of course, he is SOOOOO tall, so he had to stoop down a bit so we could fit in the same frame. LOLOL. He is so cute. Then when I tell him he's heck of tall, he launches into a story about basketball. He lost me and my friend a lot on that part, we're kind of basketball-dumb. Then he tells us to just 'smile and nod' if we don't get it--we were happy to do so.
Friday, before water quidditch, I asked him to sign my shirt, and then I take THE most amazing picture with all the MuggleBoys... it's heck of awesome. Then AFTER water quidditch (which they won, thanks to Emerson and his seeking skills), Emerson takes a swig of his water bottle, pours the rest of the water on John's head, and throws the bottle out of the pool. And I catch the bottle. It was funny, my friend went all fangirly and said, "OMG SHE CAUGHT EMERSON SPARTZ' WATER BOTTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and everyone turned to look at us, but Emerson just had this blank look on his face. So I go up to Emerson and I make him sign it. He signs it saying, "Go Team Mugglenet. Emerson Spartz". Emerson then asks my AIM screename. I tell him it's mugglemanic, and that I've only spoken to him once. He says, "Are you sure? Because I definitely recognise your screename".
Saturday, after the podcast, I go up to him yet again and say, "Emerson, I don't think I have anything else for you to sign, especially after the water bottle... but I do want a hug!". And he gives me this huge--and I mean, HUGE--hug. Emerson Spartz hugs SO well. Anyway, later on I had everyone sign my Lumos schedule, and it was of course missing one signature: Emerson's. So I go to him and say, "I lied". He laughs and says, "YOU'RE BACK!". I say "Yes, and I lied. I do want more Emerson autographs". He smiles and says, "So it's to Rashmi, right?" Except, he pronounces my name rash-me, not the proper way. So I say, "Yes, but it's like 'rush-me'". He's like, "Ohhh, like DON'T Rush-me, right?". It was funny. Then he signs my paper saying 'Don't Rush-Me, # 3. Emerson Spartz, MuggleNet.com'. He meant number three as in, third autograph.
So once we were outside, I was just kidding around with him and said, "Are you ready for number four?". I was kidding, but he said 'Hell yes, and this one will be special!'. If Emerson wants to continue signing for me, who am I to argue? So I give him my notebook, which he signs. He signs 'E' on one page, flips it, signs 'M', turns another page, signs 'E' and continues till Emerson is done. Then he goes '[space]' and continues to sign Spartz in the same way... and then MuggleNet.com. It was so cute. I then took a picture with him holding my water bottle. After that, I remind Emerson that he needs to tell Dylan hi for me. He says, "I will not forget. And you know, the reason I think I recognise your screename is because I've seen it on Dylan's computer a lot". That made me crack up RIGHT then, because I'm pracitcally in love with Dylan Spartz. It was so funny.
