Chap 30

Arnav felt like a teenage lover who could only stand n wait outside to see glimpse of his girlfriend

He had immediately called d doc when he saw her sneezing...

he knew how fragile n delicate his wife is...

"I want you to come 2 laxminagar IMMEDIATELY" he demanded

when d doc reached he xplained him bou khushi n asked him to go inside

I had never set any rules of not seeing her

Hold on ...der r NO RULES!!

N stormed inside d house

Buaji n garima stood der questioning d doc...n asking him to go back

"arey hum ne nahi bulaye koi bhi daactor ko...keh rahe hai na hum"

arnav walked in "namaste..actualy ...I asked him to come ...umm...khushi does nt seem well so..."

both welcomed him

"arey naahi bubua...kauno zarurat naahi hai'thodi si sardi hai bas'"

"buaji wid all due respect...I want to get her checked once'"

both looked at each other n smiled

arnav asked d doc to come with him'

he opened d door to see khushi sleeping wid a slight frown on her face

may cuz of headache he thought

doc followed in...started checking her

arnav stood der silently '.nt in khushiz view

he winced when she saw her gt up cuz doc disturbed her sleep

his glare made d doc be super gentle wid d lady on d bed

when d doc left

buaji offered some snacks bt arnav refused politely

he was worried bou khushi

d doc told dt temperature had gone super high

n shud b checked every now n den...inform him if it does nt settles

he den told buaji n garima dt he would like to stay here "if its not too much trouble " even if it I m nt going anywhere...i m nt leaving khushi

he walked into her room

she was shivering

he could nt thnk of anything...

he wanted save her from every tiny little thng dt wud make her condition worse

he reached her n wrapped his arm around her...

he felt her relax

she moved towards him...n slept preacefully in his arms...

He tried to gt some sleep ...bt her condition dint allow him to rest for even a minute...

It was almost 11 n he was starving...

Bt he was nt leaving khushi...no ways!!

He wanted her to be on his side...FOREVER

His mind was wandering through various thoughts when his eyes fell on d d bag he had send earlier ...

It had been opened ...bt he dint know if she had liked it or not...

Khushi moved little n turned on the other side of d bed ...

He was still looking around d room when something sparkled causing him to close his eyes for a second

He thought it came from d window some car must ve passed by

Khushi moved again...

that light hit his eyes again...dis time he saw where it came from..

He took her hand gently n played wid d ring whch was teasing him ...sending sharp lights in d dark room ...slowly smile emerged on his face

He interwined his fingers wid hers... pulled her hand n kissed

He noticed dt her temperature ve gone down'

She was till burning wid fever

He had never felt so helpless in his life ..

How he wished he could do something dt could set everythng right

Dt cud bring his happiness (khushi) back home

He wished every other prob in his life cud be less dramatic

He wished his di had gt married to d right guy n nt shyam

How he wished he could kick out shyam out of their lives

Make his di's life a lot more simpler n less complicated

That reminded him he had to call di n inform ...n dt he wont be coming back..she must be worried n must ve turned d whole delhi upside down by now...

"wat ? how did u know? " how cud she know when he himself dint know dt he wud rush out of his meeting n come to see khushi...

"chotte ...ve u seen urslf lately?" she asked him wid a little tease in her voice

"oh cmon"

"dnt u thnk itz very obvious where u r...even laxmi cud tell dt " she laughed loudly

"stop it di..." he was embarrassed now..only if his family cud see him flushing

"ok di...I ll hang up now'" he looked back at khushi...he cud tell she ws missing him n unconsciously searching him on d bed...

"ok bye " she said

"bye"

Arnav opened...buaji gave him a glass "haldi wala dhoodh laye hai sanka'khushi ki liye.."

"I ll manage ...thnx"

buaji smiled n turned hesistantly

"buaji..." he called "kuch kehna chahti hai ap?"

"nandkishore ...hum..." n took his face n kissed on his forehead..."humri sanka devi na bahot hi kismat wali hai jaoun unko tumre jaisa jeevansaathi mila "

"humein pehle thoda sa shak tha ..." he looked at her confused " phir apko yaha dekh kar yakeen hogaya...sankadevi ka is tarah hamare saath ajaana kuch ajeeb hi dikh raha tha..."

he smiled at her...

"bubua...wo zarur tumse gusse hogi atpatan harkate karegi par dil ki achi hai wo...uski baaton ko kil par mat lena...ab batao...isliye to hum use sankadevi bulavat rahe "

she laughed ...he was smiling along wid her n nodded

conveying her wat she wanted to hear...

I ll take came of her no matter wat buaji...

she smiled at him n left...

he closed d door...smart woman she is ...he thought

MORNING

Window slammed open n a gust of cold wind entered her room...giving her shivers...she opened her eyes to bright light of sun...

She was feeling weak...too weak to gt up in close d windows

She gt up slowly...her head was still spinning when last night came to her mind

She had dreamt bou him

She smiled weakly...how he was always on her mind...he recollected her dream...It ws such a beautiful dream

She sat on d bed confused...staing at d glass on her side table...
