"Lakh kasme di, lalach diye, par jaanewale lautey nahin, sirf rahon pe udtey huey sannaton ke phuwar chhod gaye,

Kab tak koi sannatey faktaa rahe,

Zindagi to chalti raheti hai

Sirf gile rahe jaatey hai, aur wafaaon ke jhukey huey sajdey

Shayed koi aaye, koi awaaz de kahi se … "

Hazaar rahein mudkey dekhi

Kahi se koi sadaa na aayi

Badi wafa se nibhayii tumne, hamari thodi si bewafaii

Jahan se tum mod mud gaye they

Yeh mod abbhi wahi pada hai

Hum aapne pairon me jaane kitne

Bhawar lapetey huey khadey hain

Badi wafa se nibhayii tumne, hamari thodi si bewafaii

Kahin kisi roz yun bhi hota

Hamari halat tumhari hoti

Joh raat humne guzaari markey

Who raat tumne guzaari hoti

Beautiful composition by Gulzar, a soliloquy followed by song, for the film 'Thodi Si Bewafaii'. Defining perfectly Bani and Jai's imperfect situation. And things seem to be getting worse every single day. Otherwise, how do you explain the gaffe at the City Hospital where the Nurse wrongly mentions Pushkar's name as the father of Bani's child!!! A dangerously potent situation, having far-reaching capabilities to blow up the Pia-Pushkar household too. A situation, whose creation cannot be willingly attributed to any party involved. Waiting for Jai, Bani, Pia and Pushkar's emotions and expressions when the mistake is unfurled.

Bani is at the Hospital for the sonography when Pushkar chips in to be present on this big day and mentions that its impossible for him to leave his friend alone in a vulnerable state. Cheers to friendship but alas! Only if the Nurse had enough grey matter to not assume things. Bani leaves the 'name of her husband' position blank in the Form – her hurt is spilling over in all areas to such an extent that an occasion that could have been a joyous one for a pair of prospective parents has been converted into a single, lop-sided hackneyed bonding effect. For once we see Bani as the mother who is sorry for separating the child from its father and the love and affection that a father brings into the life of his child. But, she is certain that when she divulges the real reason to her child for separating the kid from the father's love, the kid would understand her situation and forgive her. (but I really doubt honeybun, whether that would happen).

The Dr. took Bani away for the sonography and she was allowed to view through the sonograph screen for the first time, the little life that is fast growing up inside her. I felt so bad for Jai and Bani at that moment. It was Jai who should have been with Bani at that particular moment, the couple sharing the ecstasy of the divine feeling that their love has finally created a new entity, which will be an unique identity for them in the years to come. Loved the way Bani lovingly pats her tummy and tries to connect with her child.

And then I was suddenly hit by the realization that life has indeed been cruel to this girl –

She had to don the role of a mother for her two younger sisters when her mother passed away, had to give support to her father who went nearly berserk after his wife's death, had to tend to their cares while at Mt. Abu, had to escort hr sisters to a new city after their father's death, had to keep herself alert at all times when they landed up to stay at a stranger's place in Mumbai, had to suffer and bear stoically all the accusations and intonations that came along the way while pursuing a job under their benefactor's care, had to keep on protecting her sisters from all troubles while bearing the brunt himself, had to give up her liking for Pushkar when she found out that Pia-Pushkar were in love, had to fight with herself for agreeing to Pia's out-of-the-blue decision to marry Jai Walia, had to marry Jai Walia in Pia's place when the latter eloped with Pushkar on the D-day itself, had no Sangeet, Haldi or any other rasam associated with the marriage, had to get P-P married inface of Jai Walia's ire, had to bear maintain reserve and perseverance in face of storm and finally managed to win over Jai's affection but only after being continuously put through the grinder in a couple of occasions, had to commit the task of falling in love with her husband inspite of being well-aware of his shortcomings, had to wait patiently for Jai to turn back to her and acknowledge her presence in his life to some extent, had to share a very beautiful and intimate conjugal moment with her husband only to be told by the duffer the next day that it was all a mistake, had to come to know that a secret was lurking out in the open which had all potentiality to destroy her life, had to know this secret after a lot of trials and tribulations that her husband, whom she loves more than her life, is mainly responsible for her mother's death 7 years back in a road accident, had to know a bittersweet truth that she was carrying the child of the only person whom she loves dearly but whom she has vowed to hate all her life … and many more.

I am sure that at that moment in the hospital she must have missed her husband sorely. The fact that Jai is always in her mind is apparent from the fact that she is alert at once when Pushkar mentions that he would have to go to the police station to identify the person who had accompanied Jai to the very spot where he had been shot, while searching for Bani. Yes, she is not over her husband and she can never be!!! Period. And Pushkar has indeed been a good friend (although he is hovering too much around Bani for Jai's comfort), but his relationship with Bani is going to come to a boiling point soon because of the stupid mistake that the nurse has made.

Now, the other Dixit sister. She has gone for an interview with a big event management firm (pity, she doesn't even know the name of the firm) and is hell-bent on getting the job. She actually tries to act sweet with another candidate and secure the first position in the line, when she is thoroughly rebuffed by the lady-in-charge their, only to be made aware of the fact that the firm belongs to none other than Jai Walia. Jai had only one scene today but again the best dialogue – 'People who are big hearted often forgives mistakes committed by others'. Clear hint that he is waiting for Bani to forgive him and return back to his life, with all the joy and happiness that he had been privy to all these days due to her companionship, love, affection and understanding.

Seriously can't understand Pia anymore (or is it that I am not trying enough). On one day, she blasts Jai for taking advantage of her sister and getting her pregnant, while on the other hand, she is highly comfortable with the idea of working in Jai's event management group and not informing Bani of her decision immediately. She cries away her heart in the party when the truth about their hosue property at Mt. Abu is revealed, while the next morning she hardly brings up this topic with her husband but is more interested in looking into the financials of the party. Are the cretaives trying to make her an enigmatic character? Please, gimme a break.

Jai is quite the businessman – he has offered to let Rano work for one of their projects (we are not yet aware as to whether Rano has accepted the offer or not) while he has offered a job to Pia as the event manager in his group. So, both his saalis are assumed to be under his umbrella for time being. That only leaves his wife out and I am damn sure, he's not interested in Pushkar right now. On a different note, maybe he is trying to take care of the sisters and do every little thing that is humanely possible for him to do to help the girls.

Now, for the shocker of the day. My Adi it seems is involved in the Jai shootout. (Why Ekta why?) The man who had actually escorted Jai to the desolate house where Jai had been shot, actually is a plant by Aditya. Adi hands over money to this chap and asks him not to miss the second chance and that if need be, he would contact his plant and not the other way around. ET TU ADITYA. I just pray to God that all this turn out to be a faux pas and Aditya is actually trying to unravel the mystery and help Jai and Bani in getting together. Please Jai, I don't even have words to express my sorrow for you. Just get up and get your system running, you are going to be betrayed big time by your closest relation and I am not sure how you will cope up with this. Perhaps, this is the only relation that holds any significance for you right now. But, I would be more than happy to be proved wrong in this issue. PLEASE Adi, not you, please. And of course, along with Jai, you are going to destroy Bani and her kid also. So Jai buck up and go full out for securing the relationship that matters to yu the most at this time. We are with your baby, your wife and you.

A beacon in the darkness is that Bani has managed to get a job in a Finance company. At least, she will be relieved on that front to some extent. But, I am sure she won't be feeling less relieved with an airhead of a sister. Just imagine Pia's gall when she advises Bani to divorce Jai and seek alimony. Under such circumstances, Bani would then not have to work in her state of pregnancy. Very materialistic approach, must say, but nevertheless, an approach that shocks Bani to the core. She quietly states that her marriage to Jai was a compromise and that she has no right over his wealth or property simply because they were never hers. The only right that she possesses over him is the RIGHT over his CHILD since she realizes that the love that Jai showered on her that fateful night is entirely hers and that it was something that he had given her willingly. I was deeply touched knowing that Bani has no qualms about Jai being the father of her child, even though she keeps on harping that its her baby only. Indirectly, she acknowledges Jai's presence in his life as the father of the child she's carrying and that this is the only bond that exists between them. Yes, it's the child which is going to bring Jai and Bani back to each other.

One word please - Bani do not take away this from your child, yourself and Jai. You all will need this attachment and love to come out through the still darker clouds that are gathering over the horizon. You all deserve another chance in life and from life. I know its very difficult for you, but its not impossible. Jai will need you all the more when Aditya's reality strikes him - maybe another person whom he trusts more than himself is Aditya. His volte face will leave Jai completely broken down. And he will need you through all this. I hope its all Aditya's ploys to get back the couple together.

Only if the nurse had left me at peace there …. I am seriously worried. I am almost tempted to hand over Raaga's Red Card to her. 😡😡😡

And then, some more … like Godzilla, 'ROSHNI RETURNS'. And I hate her for destroying JnB's life.

No scope for histrionic performances by anyone today … everybody sailed through their role – Jai at his poignant best and Bani at her demure, understanding yet unrelenting best, and Pushkar at his friendliest best. But, I am missing Rano. But, I am still feeling uncomfortable about the nurse's action😕😕😕.

So, it will be a season of misunderstandings at KS and also betrayals - Bani will feel betrayed by Pushkar, Pia will feel betrayed by Bani and Pushkar, Jai will feel betrayed by Bani and Pushkar and Jai will be betrayed by Aditya.

Hi Sangita.

Lovely as usual. You have brought out Bani's sufferings very well.

But so are Jai's. To have gone through 40 years of life without having anyone really to call his own- except perhaps Maasi- is terrible. Lost his parents young. His sister loves him only for his money and wouldnt hesitate to kill his child if she gets an opportunity. Has had to (falsely???) carry the guilt of killing someone for 7 long years and probably for the rest of his life. Would probably lose his beloved wife and kid becuase of that. His first love abandoned him for her career. His fiancee stood him up for the wedding, the boy who he treated as a son betrayed him. His eldest nephew is out to cheat him of his wealth and other nephew/nieces are too air-headed to be of any good. And now his friend who is probaly dearer to him than his own sister is out for his blood. And like Bani kept her family together, Jai tied up the Walia household while Jigs and Adi kept feuding.

Whatever evil Jai has done (and the good he has done is not small either- he supported many orphans as per the story) I think he has suffered enough. I think he deserves a few years of happiness.

Mybe this is what makes the Jai-Bani relation so unique and why they will never get on without each other. They are the only ones who have sacrificed and suffered enough to really understand and soothe each other's pains.

Superb analysis as usal Sangita. 👏 👏 Love reading your post after every episode. 😃 Hope the confusion does not creat more rifts between Jai and Bani. 😕 Really do not care alot about Pia or Pushkar. Hope no Pia Jai thing or Bani Pushkar thing happenes in the show. 😡 That will be the last nail in the coffin after the change in Adis character. 😡 It seems like KS is also going to sail in the same boat as all Ektas drama. I sincerly hope not. Till next time then. 😡

Cheers
Kubare.

Hi Priyanka and thanks for your comments. It really means a lot.

Actually, I am not biased against Jai, its just that he has so many people to udnerstand him and his emotional state of affairs here 😆😆😆 (no offence intended). So i try to think from the different viewpoint. 😉

Yes, I agree Jai too had to lose a lot during the 40 years of his life and when finally he was on the threshold of joy, love and happiness, all these have been taken away from him and he has been rendered helpless and lonely all again. The greatest irony is that the mighty Jai Walia could have had any woman in his life (i am taking a detour over here from ND's curse) if he wanted at any time, but the woman with whom he fell in love with had actually to retrace her steps back and choose a life where hate is supposed to be the basis of their relationship. And Jai has to find out a way fast to get his love back. And Bani too has to help him in these changed circumstances. I feel equally sorry for both of them. 😭😭😭
