This story starts with a man in jail, Arjun Punj, who tells his love story to his lawyer. Arjun is an arrogant business tycoon who learns the meaning of love when he meets Arohi, a simple small-town girl who dreams of becoming a singer.Even though Arjun hates women because his mother left him and his father when he was a child, he can't help but fall in love with Arohi. After many fights and romance, everything looks perfect for the two lovebirds.
It turns out that Arjun's mother is Arohi's badi maa, whom Arohi loves very much. When Arjun comes to know the truth, he thinks that Arohi is with him just because of his mother's insistence. He goes to the extent of hurting Arohi by proposing to another girl named Natasha, becoming the same cold man he was before he met her. On the engagement night of Arjun-Natasha, Arjun dramatically insults Arohi in front of everyone. However, his engagement with Natasha breaks. Arjun's mother reveals that Arjun's father was at fault for her departure, not her. This hurts Arjun, not because he blindly believed his father, but because he hurt Arohi.
Arohi leaves her hometown, Shimla, for Mumbai to enrich her dream of becoming a singer. Arjun leaves the luxuries of his life for the sole aim of nurturing Arohi's dream. In Mumbai, Arohi meets Karan, a famous singer and womanizer, who first steals Arohi's music, later falls in love with her, and then helps her achieve her dream. After Arjun saves her from a burning building, Arohi realizes that Arjun still loves her, and they decide to get married. Arjun's father refuses this marriage, and emotionally blackmails Arohi into leaving Arjun, saying that if she doesn't leave him, he will reveal that Arjun is not his son and Arjun will lose his so-called family. Thus, Arohi leaves him and decides to accept Karan's wedding proposal.
On the wedding day, Arjun kidnaps Arohi to prevent her from marrying Karan. She escapes by sending him to jail, but Arjun is freed by his father's friend. During the wedding, Arohi's father falls off the slippery balcony while talking to Arjun. The blame is placed on Arjun and he is sent to jail for two years before he is executed. Arohi's marriage is halted and during this time, she accomplishes her dream, gaining money, fame and property. On Arjun's execution day, Arohi decides to watch her sister wedding video, which is actually a real account of her father's death. She realizes the mistake and runs to the prison in time to save Arjun's life. However, she decides not to meet him, and instead, decides to return to Shimla to lead a quiet life with Arjun's memories and their beautiful past.
As fate would have it, Arjun also decides to return to Shimla. After a lot of mishaps and almost-meetings, Arjun and Arohi both decide to travel to Shimla via train. At the train station, Arohi is about to miss the train. She remembers her mother's letter, which says her destiny will find her. A hand then comes out of the train and she runs to it. The hand belongs to Arjun. Back in Shimla, Arjun and Arohi finally have the big, traditional wedding they had always dreamed of.

Arjun's family is enemies with Arohi's family due to something that happened between Arohi's grandad and Arjun's dad. Arohi's grandad finally puts Arjun's dad in jail but Arjun has other plans. He kidnaps Arohi and her friend and will only return them if his dad goes free. However, the two girls are unaware of this and believe that Arjun and his low-class friends are just the police men her grandad ordered to escort them to safety. Whilst hidden in the the jungle Arjun and Arohi slowly fall in love. Meanwhile, Chikku (Arohi's fiance) helps find Arohi. When he suggests the criminals may be hidding Arohi in the jungle, all the police men in Arohi's family immediately drive into the jungle to start searching for her.
After they admit their love, Arjun and Arohi decide to go travelling on their own so Arohi just misses her family's search party and is still unaware of Arjun's fake identity. A couple notice both of them and take them in. Arjun and Arohi tell them that they are not married but that Arohi is pregnant. The old couple decide to get them married straight away.
Arohi's entire family is grieving for because they still cannot find Arohi. The wedding is going on and Arohi's grandad and grandma go to visit the special couple but leave because they are upset about Arohi. Unaware that the bride is their granddaughter they leave the wedding. But whilst they're on the road they reemeber about the wedding present they forgot to give and turn back. But before the wedding takes place Arohi realizes she does not know Arjun very well. At this moment in time the granddad interrupt and informs Arohi of who Arjun really is. He tells her that Arjun is from a family of criminals, he isn't a police man and that Arohi is just a tool to he is using to release his father from jail. Feeling betrayed and hurt Arohi returns to her family and agrees to still marry Chikku.
Arjun tries to apologize to Arohi but she rejects him and carries on with her marrying Chikku. He tries to lead a good life to prove to Arohi that he loves her. His sister talks with Arohi in private telling her that Arjun is truly inlove with her. Gauri gets jealous and starts arguing with Arjun's sister. Arohi, Guari and Arjuns sister are near the staircase and Gauri pushes Arjun's sister down it where she bleeds and looses the baby she was pregnant with. Arjun blames Arohi for this as everyone is unaware that it was Gauri that pushed his sister down -even Arohi doesn't realise it was her friend.
As pay back, Arjun interrupts Arohi and Chikku's wedding threatening her that he will get his revenge. He locks Chikku in a store room and puts his wedding clothesnof pretending to be Chikku. No one knows it is Arjun because his face is covered. Now both of them are married and the whole family is shocked. Arohi and her family is devastated as he says he wilol not divorce her and his revenge is by showing off his marriage to the world and embarrassing Arohi's family who have caused him family so much pain.
Arjun's dad ask Arjun to marry a girl from London who is the daughter of his business partner. But Arjun refuses. He tries to tell Arohi about this he repairs Mr. Softy Aluwalia and gives it to her. Arohi was very happy and she hugs Arjun. At time Arohi's cell rang and she starts talking with Dhoondu: This makes Arjun jealous and he lies to Arohi that he had said yes for the girl. Arohi feels very bad and she also lies to Arjun that she loves Dhoondu. Dhoondu tells Arohi that he loves Archana and she was going to get married to Jay who was Arjun's best friend. When Arohi comes to know that her booaa is the wedding planner she tells her to write the name of Dhoondu as a photographer so that Dhoondu can stay with Archana. Jay comes to know that someone is after Archana and tells it to Arjun.
Arjun tells there is nothing to worry about he will handle everything. Arjun starts thinking very nasty things about Dhoondu and Arohi. When Dhoondu and Archana are finally united Arohi thought that she will tell everything to Arjun. Arjun comes to know the truth but still does not forgive Arohi. On that night Arohi tells Arjun that he has to believe in her love or she will commit suicide. Arjun tells Arohi that he loves her. Arjun and Arohi were finally united. but there happiness didn't last long when Arohi's daddu comes to Singhania's house and tells Arohi that their divorce had been finalized. Arohi tries to tell her daddu tha she loves Arjun. Arjun promises Arohi hat he will come to ake her in two days.There in her house Gauri tells Arohi that she will distract her family against her. Gauri distracts Arohi's family to sent her to Canada. She tells Arjun's father that he have to send Arjun somewhere for 12 hours so that he can not come to take Arohi and as soon as Arohi will reach Canada they will just take her passport.But this never happens Arjun comes and stops Arohi from going to Canada. Next day when Arjun left Singhania's house and comes to take Arohi, Arohi's Taau and Father stops Arjun at the door and starts beating him.
Inside Arohi tells everyone the truth of Gauri that she still loves Arjun. Gauri tries to prove Arohi wrong and she says everyone that she has got C.D of Jay's marriage functions where Arohi was trying to flirt with Arjun and Dhoondu. She brings the wrong C.D. and plays it. It shows that Gauri is the only one who had pushed Rashi from the stairs and forced Arjun to take the wrong path again. Gauri is thrown out of the house and Arohi's Daddu announces Arjun and Arohi's wedding next day. When Rudra comes to know about this he thinks that he will tell Arjun everything about his past and he will be not be able to resist it. Rudra gives a file to Arjun and tells him to read it in his free time. Arjun goes to Arohi and tells about the file. When they were about to read, Arohi's bua enters and takes Arjun to the lobby. Arjun is not able to read the file. Instead Arohi reads the file and in it,it was written that Arohi's Daddu wronged Arjun's mother which lead to her death. This secret only Rudra and Arohi's parents know. But Arohi's parents kept it as a secret because they knew that if Arohi's daddu will come to know the truth he will surrender himself to police. Arohi decides that Arjun should know this and she goes to Arjun to tell him everything.
Arjun is just looking and he notices a photo (which is his mother's photo) but suddenly Arohi comes and he is distracted. Later on Arjun comes to know the truth that his mom was innocent and died. Arjun decides to go and kill Kartar but Arohi stops him from doing so, Arohi tells Arjun that she can't see him again going on the track of crime, Arjun promises Arohi that he will never do it again. Meanwhile Kartar has been shot by someone else with Arjun's gun, having Arjun's fingerprints. Everyone starts thinking that Arjun has killed Kartar and is sent to jail. Arohi finds a lawyer for Arjun named Ram Panjabi who can't live without drinking. Later on who left drinking and finds proof for Arjun. The day of judgement Ram is killed and there is no evidence left for Arjun and Arjun is sent to the jail for whole lifetime. Arohi makes a plan to rescue Arjun from the jail but Arjun didn't agrees and tells Arohi that half of the life he has only broken law but now he will not do so.
Both make out of the way from Rajbeer and run away. Rajbeer makes a vow of being able to find them and until he finds them, he will not rest in peace. Halfway through the journey to Shimla, Arjun's motorbike runs out of petrol and Arjun and Arohi are stuck in the middle of nowhere. It gets very cloudy and it starts thunder and lightning. This makes Arohi scared and for Arjun happy as he gets to come closer to her. They go in a hut as it was about to rain. They share an intense moment and beautiful hug until Rajveer finds them. He learned where they are as the killer told him about them. As all the newspapers, channels were showing their pictures. Sanchit (Arohi's Thou Ji's son) heard the location and informed everyone. They all went to Shimala through a shortcut but Rajveer reached there first.
As Mikhail knows he came to kill them both. After a fight, Mikhail made Arjun unconscious. Mikhail turns to Arohi and aims the gun at her. Just in time, Chachu arrives and pushes Arohi away from Mikhail's gun. A bullet hits Arohi's Chachu instead; he shoots Mikhail causing him to die. A few days later Chachu comes back to the Alhuwalia house and is surprised to Arjun and Arohi waiting for him. He feels bad for everything he said and did to them.
Later Arjun and Arohi get married and live happily ever after.
