Lol, Shyamala,, so true, you can even second guess quite accurately what is going to be spewed out as "expert opinion" once you have been around them long enough!! And then I have aspiring young 'uns at home between whom I act as referee and judge - have learnt to sit on the fence and hold my tongue in fear of being accused of playing favorites.

SW1 respectfully disagree with this evalution on Ovi character...Although it reminds me of Archana and not Ovi...But Archana is considered to be loving and unselfish...Just gets herself in the mess kind for no odd reason..
When OVI offered Purvi money she was not out of a character who was hurt or in denial that Arjun loves her..Obviously when person has money that is what they will offer...
There are gold diggers out there who grab sugar daddys or mommas. And Ovi thought Purvi was one of them...Any one would think the same when they are in denial and belive BF loves her and not the other girl..
dabulls, I am getting quite disillusioned with Archana, I cannot understand how someone could repeatedly do things so foolishly as to ruin her own life constantly at every turn. But that is another matter.
As far as Ovi is concerned, yes, I am willing to grant that being rich and moneyed, she might have thought buying Purvi off would be the easiest way to get rid of this "nuisance" in her life. But if that is the case then, somewhere in the deep recesses of her mind, she must have realized that Arjun is attracted to Purvi as well.
Okay, maybe Ovi thinks she is the real love in Arjun's life, and that Purvi is a mere fling, there still has to be some admittance to herself at least that if Arjun was not reciprocating Purvi's interest, she, Ovi, has nothing to fear and so does not need to buy Purvi out.
Instead, Ovi tells Arjun when she sees him both times, near his house and in the night, that she does not want to know what majburi he is under and why he said and did what he did. There is a disconnect there to me, she does not want to know, persists in believing he loves her, yet wants to buy Purvi off. Why?
If a girl came after my guy (heaven forbid, for the sake of the girl and himđ¤Ł) and if I knew he was not interested, I would not care to buy the girl out, would warn him to be careful of the girl but that would be it. Here, Ovi is not even broaching the subject with Arjun, just merrily insists all is well between them which smacks of either a soon impending mental imbalance or a cunning mind that wants to keep him to herself at all costs.
