Scene 14a

It was 11:00 PM.

Hansa shooed everyone away from the living room. The only people who were present were Anandi, Shiv and herself.

Anandi was flipping through some papers. There was couple of points they needed to discuss before calling it a night.

Shiv gave a huge sigh and continued concentrating at the presentation on his laptop. He then looked at the watched and his mother.

'Ma please aap jaker soo jayiye, papa bhi aa gaye hain. humain dair tak kaam kernay ki adat hai' he said, concerned.

Hansa shook her head

'ithnay dinon kay baad aye ho,kaam kay bahanay sahih, main kuch waqt tho bitha lun apnay betay kay saat' she said lovingly

Anandi looked up at Shiv

'Collector sahab, mujhe zara presentation ek dafa dhikhayiye' She said

Shiv handed the laptop to her.

Anandi quickly glanced at the work and then closed the laptop.

Shiv stared at her seriously

'Meray khayal main sabh kuch sahih tarah sey prepare ho chuka hai, aap abh jaker so jayiye taki auntyji ko bhi araam kernay ka mouka milay' she said pointing to Shiv's mother, authoritatively

'Anandiji aap mujhe mera laptop dijiye' said shiv standing up, a little irritated. He did not like anyone bothering him at his work.

Anandi looked at him and then grabbing her paperwork and shiv's laptop she turned towards his mother

'Main fir chalthi hun , subah milthay hain' and then without a word to Shiv and not even glancing at him, once, she turned her back and headed upstairs.

Shiv looked at her back angrily and then turned towards his room.

Hansa looked at Anandi and then at shiv and a smile appeared on her lips. She then walked towards her room.

Scene 14 b

It was 5:00 AM the next day.

Anandi was up. She went to sleep late at night but could not fall asleep as it was not her home. She felt uncomfortable and she had a slight headache.

She wanted some tea but she did not know whom to ask. Getting of the bed she went towards the balcony to open the curtains.

The sun had come up early. She could see the lush green garden and amidst that she noticed a dry patch. The sprinkler seemed to have missed that part.

She took a deep breath. The fresh air filled her lungs with energy. She then slowly stretched her arms towards the sky and went inside to

take a shower.

After a while Anandi came outside wearing a new set of dress. Her hair was dripping wet with water and then came a knock on the door.

It was Hansa's voice

'Uth gayi thum Anandi' said Naina, who had accompanied Hansa

'Oh wow! kithnay lambay aur ghanay baal hai thumharay' she exclaimed

Anandi looked at her and smiled.

'Main tayyar hi ho rahi thi, mujhe nahi pata tha ki aap jaldi uth jathi hain, isiliye main nechay nahi aayi' she said

'HUmaray ghar per saray hi jaldi uth jathay hain!' Said Naina

Anandi looked at Hansa and then payed her respects.

Hansa, smiled at her and caressed her cheeks.

Just then Naina heard a voice coming from the balcony. Naina and Hansa went towards it and they noticed three men and one girl jogging around the garden path.

It was Shiv, Rithul, Ikshu and Ishika.

Naina waved at them as they ran.

Shiv happily waved back. It had been ages since they had all excersiced together. Any moment they spent together was special for Shiv.

Naina called Anandi to the balcony and she agreed.

Shiv and Ikshu were racing each other while jogging together. Shiv was ahead of Ikshu and Rithul was behind them. Ishika was half a yard away.

They were all in their joggers dress.

Shiv looked at Naina and then came to a sudden halt. There was a loud yelp behind him. Ikshu had just crashed into Shiv.

'ouchhh!!! kya hua Chotay-bhaiyyah' he said in pain. Shiv stood staring at

the beautiful girl behind naina who had an air of carefree confidence and the most prominent eyes, with a dash of kohl. Her hair, the darkest of black, was shining brilliantly in the sunlight.

Anandi looked stunning!

She noticed that Shiv was staring at him. Her neck started to feel warm and she felt her ears burn slightly.

Anandi excused herself and went inside the room.

She was lost in thoughts. Her mind was filled with mixed emotions. She remembered how Shiv tried to remove her hair strand from her face, his closeness during the travel to Udaipur , them getting lost in conversation with Ashi and now. She started to feel very uneasy.

'Hello, Dadisa main Anandi baat ker rahi hun'

Anandi called her home. She wanted to feel a bit lighter and she knew that her Dadisa would be up at this time.

'ke hua chori! ithni subah kaain phone kiya? sabh teekh tho hai na!? Dadisa asked her, concerned.

'Ji dadisa, bas aapki aur ghar ki bohot yaad aa rahi thi'

said Anandi sadly

'Koi baat nahi chori bas, thoday hi din fir ghar aa jana' said Dadisa Assuringly

They talked for couple of minutes and then Anandi noticed that Hansa and Naina were coming inside. She ended the conversation and joined them to go downstairs.

Anandi offered to make the tea. She along with the other ladies of the house set the table for breakfast. A few minutes later everyone had joined in for breakfast. It was a pleasant environment, but busy. Everyone was leaving for work and Naina was preparing dolly for her school.

'Anandiji , aaj humay head office 9:00 AM tak pahunchna hai, aap jaker tayyar ho jayiye' Shiv told Anandi. He noticed that Anandi was unusally quite. There was an air of coldness around her. It disturbed him but he did not want to bring up the topic before the meeting.

Anandi got down with her work bag and left with shiv to the office.

At home, Hansa, Shamita and Naina were finishing up house chores in the Kitchen.

'Bhabi aap kuch pareshan lag rahi hain' Said shamita concerned

Naina who was putting the dishes away looked at them seriously.

' Shamita, Main shiv ko achi tarah sey janthi hun. Voh ithni jaldi kisi ko pasand nahi kertha lekin'.' said Hansa thought fully

Shamita looked at naina confused

'Main samjhi nahi bhabi''

'Acha ye batao, thum dono ko Anandi kaise lagi?' asked Hansa, as if to clear out one point at a time.

Naina smiled widely. She was glad that Tayiji had finally caught on!

'mujhe tho Anandi bohot achi lagi Tayiji!' Said Naina excited

'Han , Achi tho hai' said Shamita still sounding a bit confused

hansa stared at the window opening of the kitchen which faced the backyard of their house.

'bhabi , kya baat hai''asked Shamita, coming around and holding Hansa's hands

'Shamita, mujhe lagtha hai ki Shiv Anandi ko pasand kertha hai' Said Hansa thoughtfully

Naina's smile widened! She did not want to interfere in their conversation but she was glad that they were finally discussing something which was necessary to be brought out in the open.

In fact Naina and Rithul were having the very same discussion the night before. Rithul wanted to talk to Tayiji right away but Naina stopped him saying that, such matters should be handled delicately.

She knew that such matters usually bore better results when the elders of the house dealt with it. She asked Rithul to wait as she knew that sooner or later his mom and tayiji would certainly take notice of this situation.

'Sach bhabi, mujhe bhi lag hi raha tha, lekin maine ikshu ki wajay sey zyada dyan nahi diya' said Shamita sounding a but apologetic

'Lekin bhabi, aap kuch kush nahi lag rahi hai is baat sey? kya aapko Anandi pasand nahi hai' she questioned

hansa looked at Shamita and said

'Nahi.. mujhe Anandi achi lagi hai'.. pyari, shanth svabhav ki hai, aur Shiv ke liye sahih hai har mainay sey..,said hansa smiling a bit

lekin', Lekin mujhe nahi lagtha ki voh shiv ko pasand kerthi hai' said Hansa a bit worried

'ye kya baat hui! humaray shiv ke liye tho koi bhi ladki han ker day! Ithna samajdhar, acha dikhnay wala, khandani aur achay ruthbay walay ladkay ko kon inkaar ker saktha hai' asked Shamita , sounding shocked

Hansa looked at Shamita thoughtfully and after a minute of silence

'Anandi inkaar ker sakthi hai' she said seriously.

Naina and shamita looked at each other. They knew that Hansa was very calm by nature and a very thoughtful person. She usually spoke only after thinking something through completely and if she is feeling that Anandi might refuse, then they were forced to think about the prospect that Shiv might actually face rejection.

'Shiv, sey main baat kerthi hun. Mujhe usko samjhana padega ki Anandi sey doori rakhay' Said hansa seriously

Naina looked very upset. She felt that shiv liked Anandi a lot and he would be totally devastated if his mother told him to stay away from Anandi. She looked at Shamita as if pleading to explain to tayiji to not to talk to shiv

But shamita maintained her silence.

i hope they both get close to each other soon.

scene 15

Shamita followed Hansa into her room, where Hansa had started to fold her clothings.

'Bhabi, agar aapko lagtha hai ki Anandi mana ker degi tho , pehlay aap usey manayiye na! aap Shiv ka dil kiyun todna chahthi hai. Aur aap ye kaise yaqeen kay saath keh sakthi hain ki, Anandi mana ker degi' said Shamita in a bit of a hasty tone

'Nahi shamita. Anandi un ladkiyon main sey nahi hai jinko asaani sey manaya jaye' said Hansa continuing to fold her clothes

'Aur main shiv ko janthi hun. Voh bohot dukhi ho jayega.'

'Bhabi, aap pehlay pata tho kijiye ki wakay main voh na kerdegi! mujhe nahi lagtha ki use koi ayeteraz hoga' said Shamita stubbornly

Hansa took Shamita by her hand and made her her sit on the bed besides her

'Shamita, Uski ankhon main, maine kuch dard dekha hai. Samaj nahi atha mujhe '.ki' ye ho kya saktha hai. She said thoughtfully

'Thumnay dekha ki jab voh shiv sey baat kerthi hai, uska naam tak nahi lethi. Usko , uskay audhay sey bulathi hai." Collector sahab". Jaise ki voh ek doori rakhna chahthi ho aur usi samay jab Ashi sey usnay baat ki , tho thumnay dekha ki kaise badal gayi thi. Bilkul Ashi ki tarah ho gayi thi. Aur shiv bhi!

Mano ki voh jaan buch ker ek dewaar khadi kerna chahthi ho' Said Hansa seriously

'Isilye mujhe lagtha hai ki voh na hi kahegi. Agar use shiv pasand bhi ho, voh mana hi karegi' Said hansa decisively

Shamita sighed deeply.

'bhabi , mujhe pata hai ki aap soch samajh ker hi keh rahi hai, lekin mujhe lagtha hai ki humain thoday din aur dekhna chahiye. Manthi hun sirf kuch hi dinon ke liye aayi hai lekin, pata lag jatha hai. Shayad uskay is bartaav ka karan bhi pata chal jaye. Aur shayad, humay uskay mann ko bhaampnay ka mauka bhi mil jaye. Said shamita

'Bhabi , aap tho janthi hai, main shiv ko udaas nahi dekh sakthi hun. Agar humara andaza sahih hai, tho humain shiv sey baat kernay sey pehlay , Anandi ko samajhna hoga' said Shamita holding Hansa's hands

' Ye ithna asaan nahi hai shamita' said Hansa worried

'aur thumay nahi dekha aaj subah,

are han thum nahi thi.

Aaj jis tarah voh Anandi ko dekh raha tha'.

din ba din uska lagav badtha hi ja raha hai" She said desperately

'Bhabi, aap bhool rahi hai ki Shiv, Jetsar ka Collector hai. Teekh hai maan liya aaj aapnay mana kerdiye usay, lekin kithnay dinon tak? Voh us gaon ki sarpanch hai. Milthay tho rahengay dono. Kab tak aap rokh sakthi hain Shiv ko Anandi sey prabhavith honay sey? batayiye? reasoned Shamita

Hansa looked at Shamita as if something new had dawned on her.

'bhabi, isiliye. Anandi ka yahan ana ek tarah sey acha hi hai. uskay janay sey pehlay hum puri koshih karengay ki ye janle ki , kya shiv aur Anandi kay beech koi rishta qayam ho saktha hai ya nahi. Phir dheeray , baat aur sthithi ko dekhthay hue hum agay kay baray sochaingay' Said Shamita

Hansa nodded her head reluctantly

I am totally hooked Suchi ! I never log on to IF over the weekends but these days with all the OS's and FF's that you and others are writing I can't stop myself from seeing if you guys updated or not.

could you please translate the parts not in english I know its a bother but I do not understand what is being said and I know its great please please thank you in advance if you do I really love reading this FF and cannot wait for more awesome job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
