scene 12
They had finished dinner and were sitting in the living room. Hasit and Neel left the house to complete some errands that they had left hanging due to Shiv's visit. Rithul, Shiv, Hansa, Shamita and Anandi were waiting in the Living room.
Naina had taken dolly to her room as it was time for her to sleep.
Moments passed. There was a cold silence in the room.
Understanding the situation, Anandi excused herself and asked permission to leave for her room. She did not want to witness any kind of awkward moments in the family and put everyone in embarrassing situation.
Shiv saw Anandi leave and a moment Anandi saw his eyes showing a sign of relief.
Shiv did not want Anandi to witness his anger and that's exactly what he was feeling. His brother and sister have not reached home and it was 9:00 PM.
'You should have stayed out of my BUSINESS" shouted Ishika
'How can I stay out? mera bas chaltha tho main uskay tangay thor detha' retorted Ikshi
Anandi could read the raised voices. She quickly closed the room's door so as to avoid hearing more of the commotion but to her dismay the sound, travelled
"Ikshu thumhari wajay sey aaj baat ithni badh gayi hai' said Ishika, her eyes gleaming with tears.
Ishika and Ikshu had just walked in, shouting at the top of their lungs.
'He was harassing you for an entire week and you said you will take care of it" shouted Ikshu
"Just stay out of it OK!" said Ishika turning her head away from Ikshu as she walked faster, trying to get away from her brother.
Ikshu, who followed her threw his bag before reaching the Living room.
"Yeh kya ho raha hai yahan per?" asked Hansa. She had come running towards the walkway inorder to stop them before reaching the living room. She was worried about this very matter. She knew that shiv was inside and if he came to know he would blow out of anger!
"Aap dono chilla kiyun rahe ho?.
'Waqt ka koi ehsaas bhi hai ki nahi'!! she asked them sternly
Ishika's eyes grew wide with worry and fear. She looked at her brother, hoping, praying, that he would not go over the incidents that occurred in their college.
It had been earlier that day. Ishika and her friends were heading towards their classes when she felt a hand touch her back and her braw strap being pulled and snap back.
She could hear laughter all around as Roney made his way past her by hitting on her shoulder.
She never had felt more humiliated.
"Janay de ishika, voh sari ladkiyon kay saath aisa hi kertha hai" reasoned keerthi, her friend.
This was not the first time that Roney had behaved in such manner with her. He had been troubling her since the start of her Intermediate College.
Just earlier that week he had written her name on the boys restroom. Ikshu, who was a senior in her college had found out about Roney's behavior. He wanted to confront him but Ishika did not want the matter to get out of hands. She had asked Ikshu to stay out of it but she was worried now thinking about how he would react after this incident.
Later in the evening , a crowd had gathered in the college parking lot.
Ishika ran towards it, some how fearing the worst and she found that her intuition was right!
Ikshu had trashed Roney's bike and cornered him after college hours.
"Oh Shit!" screamed Roney looking at his bike.
"You better be glad its not your neck" Shouted Ikshu walking closer to Roney
"Agar mujhe pata chala ki thunay meri behen ki taraf aankh uta ker bhi dekha hai, tho , agli dafa tera gardan hoga- teray bike ki jagah" Spat Ikshu
As he walked away he felt Roney move, trying to swing his hand. Ikshu ducked catching hold of his fist and then punched him straight on his face causing Roney to fall down.
"bhai chalo please" urged Ishika as she grabbed Ikshu's hand and dragged him from there
Scene 12-b
Ishika stared at her mother with fear in her eyes. She did not want Hansa to know. She threw furtive glances at Ikshu and noticed that he too seemed a bit worried.
'ye koi waqt hai ghar aanay ka' came an angry voice from the back
Ishika's eyes grew wider with fear than they had before. She knew that her brother had come back but she hoped that he would not find out about anything that had happened.
Shiv continued to glare at his younger sister and then at his brother's face. He noticed that Ikshu was trying to avoid any sort of eye contact.
Soon Rithul had joined Shiv.
'Kya baat hai ikshu, dair ho gayi so alag, ye thum dono lad kiyun rahe ho? aur ithni unchi awaaz main?' asked Rithul in the same authoritative tone as Shiv.
'main kuch puch raha hun Ikshu' thundered Shiv
'Kuch nahi chotay bhaiyah' said Ikshu as he pushed his way through Shiv and Rithul and then stormed upstairs.
Shiv looked stunned and worried at his brother's behavior. Then he turned towards Ishika , who was standing as though frozen in time.
Looking at her, shiv softened. He then went towards her and slowly caressed his hands over her head.
'Ishika thum andhar jao, baad main baat hogi' he said softening his voice.
Ishika looked at her older brother and hugged him while fighting her tears back.
Shiv took a deep sigh and looked at RIthul in a questioning manner , as if trying to see if he had any answers to the sudden outburst that they had witnessed.
'Bhabi, mujhe samaj nahi aatha ki main is ka kya karun. Roz koi museebat leker aa jatha hai ye ladka. Agar inko pata chala tho bohot naraz ho jayengay voh' said Shamita to Hansa in a worried tone.
'Kuch nahi hai shamita, thum pareshan math ho, garam mizaaj ka hai, teekh ho jayega' said Hansa, trying to assure shamita.
Shamita was worried about her second son Ikshu. She knew that he was hot tempered and was very different from her older son Rithul, who was much calmer in personality.
Hansa always consoled her about Ikshu, reminding her how Shiv was very similar in nature in his college years.
Everyone then went into the living room, waiting for Neel and Hasit.
'Shiv, thum pareshan math ho' Said Hansa to Shiv.
She knew that Shiv would be worried with Ikshu's behavior. The past few weeks, they had been getting complaints from the college about his rogue mannerisms. He had already been warned once and another warning could result in expulsion.
