Sudha (Disha's Mother's) Wedding..

I wore a traditional South Indian Kanjeevaram sari and Ravi
wore a purple shirt and purple pant with a lungi tied around.
It was a blend of the South Indian and Punjabi look.


Love.


9 years.


We didn't have an engagement ceremony because there was
too much parental opposition.


The 3 C's - companionship, compatibility and care.


Our total marriage cost us Rs.10,000 only.


I always wanted a temple wedding in Trichi, however we couldn't go there due to time constraints. My husband fulfilled my wish by getting married at the Murugan temple. It was a traditional Hindu ceremony.


Whilst the ceremony was going on in the temple, people thought it was a film shoot and they gathered to see it. This was pretty unusual because we had strangers as guests for our wedding.

Sudha is a great dancer despite her losing one leg in an accident. A movie was made in her honour in Telugu - 'Mayuri' - which means dancing peacock.

She has one artificial leg., and has been acting in films and TV since then.

Vasuada was my moms favourite for some reason 😕
