A Tribute To Anas Rashid ...

I have to confess, I have never known you before Suraj Rathi happened to you! My writings on Suraj lay its foundational roots in you, for I see the soul of Suraj in your eyes ... your eyes show me the gift of happiness and the souvenir of pain ... I can pick out words that give me some credibility as a writer! My writings will lay buried in this forum for forever ... and for that you deserve a big thank you!!

A character germinates when the craft of a writer is inextricably intertwined with the craft of an actor to create a memorable character who is unique in believable ways ... a planted seed which nurtures into a beautiful flower!

Your diligence as Suraj is passionate, desirable, and vulnerable ... you have tremendous clarity and conviction of both Suraj's outer and inner worlds. You have knocked down walls and immersed yourself as Suraj Rathi ... and it shows in the spectrum of mannerisms you display as Suraj which is impeccable … your infallible body language, perfect timing in varied scenes, your exquisite voice modulation, your precise diction as Suraj ... even the strands of hair that fall freely on your forehead, that lift in your eyebrow, that twitch in your eyes and that pulled up corners of your lips that eventually convert into a beautiful smile are all mesmerizing ... all makings of a COMPLETE actor!

There are episodes where Suraj's presence is only a mere of fleeting seconds but the class, maturity and continuity with which you enact Suraj Rathi is simply phenomenal.

The lines you speak touch your heart and it shows in your eyes which makes all the difference. One cannot help but marvel at the intricate design of a single leaf ... your eyes are like intricate seasonal color changing leaves ... I often find myself lost in them ... your eyes speak and often enough I have heard words in them ... from the calm sunset, the warm sunrise, a deep blue ocean, a raging of seas, a thunderstorm, a roaring waterfall, to a peaceful lake ... intense expressive set of eyes you have!

The subtleties with which you render Suraj gives him finesse, in time to come he shall become one of the evergreen iconic heroes of Indian television ... Suraj Rathi without you in complete!

Your have amazing range and grasp as an actor ... like a bouquet of colorful flowers ... a flower for every season and every reason ... and of course being tall and handsome always helps!

Here's wishing you all the best in all your endeavors ... may you keep growing as an actor and keep rocking as Suraj!!

Goodness TJ. I am just now writing a mini essay on FB to tell a friend how good Anas Rashid is. I still talk about that D paper scene. How he reacted. It gets me every time. Such a fearless actor. Coz to do that, you need to lose yourself and stop thinking about flattering angles and special mannerisms. Just be human and a flawed, broken man. He did it. he really did it. I would say he can mix it with the best anywhere. He's a born talent. He has presence, he has personality.

Yesterday's episode he hardly said a word. But it was all there. All of Suraj. Vintage Suraj. Anyone can randomly watch that episode and understand who Suraj is and what he thinks he is. It makes it that much easier for co stars, when this character is made so solid by Anas.

I said that once in Anusha'jis post...I would like to add it here again-

'Unlike other actors, Anas doesn't bother much about his looks while emoting...He reacts as anyone in real life would do in such situations!'

He is the "king of expressions''!

Such a beautiful post on Anasji . Thanks TJ . He deserves it , he difinitely deserves many writings like this . I don't even know his name few months back and now I really feel lucky that u found him and I started watching him . He doesn't need any dialogues, his eyes says it all . I am totally in love with he way he is portraying suraj , every scene is worth watching . Though he is given very less screen space and very few dialogues in most of the episodes we can still feel his strong presence . Awesome actor , my one and only favourite , who is changing me a lot , who is making me to watch Dabh I can say tv on and on as generally I spend very less time on watching tv. As someone said he is Ming of expressions and Oscar material .

Oh my dear TnJ... Thanks a lot...🤗.. A billion, trillion thanks🤗🤗...
U already portrayed Anas in the best way anyone can.
He is the priceless gem among pebbles. There is no other actor, no one who robbed my heart I say, he drenched me, shattered and smashed me whenever he expresses Suraj.
There was a time when I thought he is a newcomer. What made me watch Diya Aur Baati Hum is just two things 4m d title song- his shy,yet manly smile after washing hands & having lunch and after Sandhya opens Suraj's gift packet, a smile blossoms his lips as a token of Suraj's unrivalled, unswerving and unconditional love. That was more than anything.

The way he portrays Suraj is truly uncomparable. A perfect amalgamation of all colours & feelings of life. And his eyes- makes me feel all emotions & feelings in the world take birth there. Even a missed warm drop also rained heavily to wet me.The magician who seduced me without any wand- just with magnetic eyes- Im always lost in them. If I love Suraj for any reason, it is Anas Rashid. His manly way to shy and vex, the way he scratches his earside, even the way simply he turns is so charming, magical and adorable.
I dont know him personally than through interviews. He is an amazing & adorable personality with a determined & calm mind, sensitive & caring heart, sensible thoughts, a decided mouth and someone who carries him in the best way he can, I feel. He is truly a living poetry, a saga of acting...🤗......🥳..
And from the depth of my heart, I wish every wish he makes become true, every step he makes are safe and life give him the best it can.....
