CURTAINS FOR INDIA CALLING

For all India Calling viewers here's a bad news. Your favorite show India Calling is going off air. This Star One show, which went on air on 14th November 2005, is slated to end by mid-August. Resham Rao, assistant CEO, Star One says, "We decided to call it quits for the show due to the low TRP's. The show started with a bang and clicked well with the audience. However, as the theme of the soap gradually moved from the life in a call center to the love life of the two leading characters- Aditya and Chandni, audiences began to loose their interest in the show. So we thought of replacing the show with another, fresh one.

THE REAL REASON

However, our little birdie tells us the real reason. It is believed that after Remix, Yeh Dil Chahe More and Heartbeat were being replaced by Resham Dankh, Shaadi Street and Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega; Ekta Kapoor, in a rage, had a meeting with the officials of the channe. She wanted an explanation why her soap, Krimson Skies was being left out. After a long debate, the officials were left with no other choice than to listen to Ekta's threat.

Ekta, on the other hand defends herself by saying. "No Way! The channel was considering taking the serial off air over a very long time. It's just because my soap will be replacing India Calling that someone is spreading these rubbish rumors against me."

EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO THE SHOW

Though despite repeated efforts producer Shrishti Arya could not be contacted, we managed to contact the lead actors of the show. "Yes I have received the news of late. The serial had became a part of me and I will miss it a lot" says actress Manasi Parekh who plays the Character of Chandni. Vipul Gupta, who plays the male protagonist Aditya, is also disturbed by the news but putting a brave front, he says, "Well, in life nothing lasts forever. Even the show had to end one day or the other. It's just that one has to move on." But when he was questioned whether he will miss the show, we get the reply "But of course I will miss the show a lot. I am very attached to the show and also owe a huge part of my success to the show".

AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Vipul continues, "We will cease shooting after a week or so. However every story has an ending and I am very happy that in the case of IC, Aditya and his love interest, Chandni are shown to finally unite and get rid off all their troubles to finally live happily ever after."

Goodness, I almost believe it! What with all the comments and all? Very well done!
But I suppose its natural if the makers think of taking the show off air. It isn't interesting anymore.

I was doubtful about it, because it didnt sound convincing when low TRPs were mentioned.
For any channel 9 pm. is the prime time and no channel would air a show that is not popular among masses. Channels , producers everybody wishes to schedule their programmes at this time.
Yet, if star one channel still decides to go against it then there has to be a better serial competing for that slot. 😊

Jo bhi ho.......over all good dare and good act.

Kabhi na kabhi to IC end hoga hi. As they say "All good things come to an end."😉 But very honestly I will miss Chand and Adi.
