Love the title of this post, Z darling! Love the entire post!
The children's happiness was always the main reason for Yash and Aarti to agree to remarry, and it remains their foremost priority still. It is a wonderful theme and issue that seems to form the core of this show, in a way. Of course, there are many aspects of the show that make up that "core," which is why this story is as strong as it is!
We've seen how, over and over, the desire to provide their children with the guidance and love of the respective missing parent was what drove Yash and Aarti out of their solitary lifestyles and resulted in their punar vivaah...The contrasts between Ansh and Palak/Payal were developed beautifully, and now that Payal has come to love Aarti so much, we can see how much a mother's heart filled with genuine care and love can reach out and fill a lonely child's heart with happiness and a feeling of belonging. In Aarti, Payal has found the same sort of parent that Ansh had been yearning for and found in Yash. It has been a very beautiful development so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Aarti and Palak.
It's interesting that Aarti has always been trying to actively show how much she cares for the children; Yash was slightly more passive, but that could be because he's just not as demonstrative as Aarti in general...They both genuinely wanted to provide a mother and father's care to their children, and that care has developed into a deep parental love by now, which is so touching! That Yash and Aarti finally spoke about this issue - one that many of us had wanted them to resolve on their wedding night - in a mandir on the day of Arpita's shraadh is actually very satisfying to me for more reasons than one...Not going to go into all of that here, but I LOVED the mandir scene. Another full-circle moment and another loop has been closed!
