Piya Ka Ghar welcomes a new Megha

EXCITED ABOUT HER NEW ROLE: Gargi Sharma

After Narayani Shastri decided she could not devote time to Zee's Piya Ka Ghar in a double role, the producers decided to rope in a new actress.

Playing the role of Rimjhim's (Narayani Shastri) daughter will be Gargi Sharma. The actress previously appeared in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki as Gurbani Gill.

On the second day of her shoot she says, "I loved the track which was laid out for Megha. Her character is very close to my heart. She's stunning as well as innocent at the same time."

Sharma was one of the finalists of the Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj and has also done some theatre in the past.

When asked about her experience of working on Piya Ka Ghar she says, "It's too early to say anything. But I am enjoying whatever I am doing. Also they have given me a lovely look on the show, with lots of cool churidars."

As far being Shastri's replacement is considered Sharma decides to remain silent. "I think I would rather look in the future than think about the past. I am excited about the way the show is shaping up."

Personally I think she looks a bit old.

totally agree. i don't think anyone could do a better job than naryani shastri. she rly knows how to act.

I think they should have gotten Natasha (anjali from Kavyanjali) to play the role of megha cause she looks a little similar to Narayani...............doesn't she?😕

i think dat u guys r right, but u know vut will be da cool part. rimjhim will start looking prettier again. she will have her old make-up, nice saree combo's. and all that. she will not look like yasoda's and kaveri's mom. its a good thing , but u r right. the new megha looks older than her mom. o well, we can't do anythin. this has happenend and we should thank god that pkg is no more gonna be a fake serial( e.g. megha as same as her mom).

See, thats what I said in my other post - Megha has an accident and shwoops! new Megha. Anyway - agree with u all - she looks way too old. Rim really acted superb - especially as the 8 year old. She was awesome. Lets see how this one turns out. I hope though that it will indeed bring back the old, pretty rim - lets see. . .
