Truthfully speaking, I never expected that this song would one day come to reflect Jai and Bani's situation and mental agony perfectly. Agreed, there is the element of separation in the song, tinged with helplessness, but still I thought that maybe things would be different here and we wouldn't have to think so drastically. 😭
But, yesterday's episode just made my worst fear come true and with Ranveer's bringing up the curtains on the Dixit property at Mt. Abu, things have now reached an abominable level. Apart from Jigs and her sapola son😡, everybody is shattered and more so the three sisters and Jai and now we get a clear perspective as to how all their lives are intertwined. The moment Jai had signed the papers on that fateful moment, I knew his fate was sealed. Because though Jai trusted Ranveer, me and neither of my friends here and elsewhere didn't. We were all right – the result is in front of us to see.
Today, I am not anybody's defence lawyer, but Ranveer better get one. I can see myself on the prosecution and I wont leave you. He is very shrewd given the fact that he had used that single opportunity presented to him to avenge of all the injustice (according to him) meted out to his mother and him due to the Dixit sisters. But, his greatest fault lies in the fact that in the process he has stabbed his Mama in his back and destroyed the wee chance that he had to win back his love and try to start anew. Even Jai realizes the mistake when he says that 'whatever happens, a person's character and attitude never changes' and he's disgusted that he has entrusted Ranveer with a huge chunk of his present projects. Today, he has nearly lost everything and it remains to be seen how he extricates himself out of this tricky situation.
Now, coming to the sisters. They have finally lost everything related to their childhood and are rightfully shattered. And Bani is right to say that accidents happen once, but not always. If only Jai had been a little careful. They were all aware of the fact that a casino-cum-bar-cum-hotel would be built on the very spot that used to be their home once, but the unfairness of the situation struck everybody like a bolt of lightning from the blue. Maybe, Bani had hoped that Mr. Walia would leave their house in its present form (maybe hoped, I am not sure). But, on one thing, I am bang on spot. I always wondered that if Jai had told Bani about the accident on Park Road when the girls came to his house after moving out of Mt. Abu, things could probably have been different. At that time, Jai was neither in love with Pia nor was he overtly conscious of their presence, their was just a sense of responsibility towards them. He could have explained the real reason why ND sent his daughters to Jai Walia of all people. As Bani says yesterday, that if she had known about the truth previously, she could at least have gotten some time to process the entire scenario and then take correct decisions. Maybe she could have stopped herself from falling in love with her husband. Its not that she despises being in love, but she is heart broken because of her vulnerable state. But, this being a soap, … 😕
After that, Jai's worst nightmare in fact came true when Bani says that she doesn't want to see his face also. Some may say that Bani was being too harsh on Jai, but how on earth is she supposed to know the truth, as in TRUTH. Her confidence, belief and trust in her man has been completely eroded and she is at crossroads in her life where she will have to take a strong decision, with varying repercussions on various affected parties. And what are they both left behind with – only tears and heartaches and heart-breaks. I am feeling so sorry for Bani and Jai right now – these two are so in love but they are unable to reach out to one another. 😭

On a lighter note, the dumb charade yesterday was very sweet. I loved the way especially when during the act, Adi points at Jigs trying to act-expalin the movie's name and Rohit says 'Hunterwaali' and Saahil says 'Naagin'. It was a hot. But the poignant moment came when Jai enacted out "Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna" with Mausi and there were of course generous dollops of eye-locking sessions between our fave couple. Liked the way Saahil goes after Rano when the news of the new hotel on Dixit property was unfurled. And loved Bani's accusatory looks at Jai, unbelieving that he had actually done that, and Jai's helpless stares back to his wife as if pleading her to understand that he is not resposnsible for this mess this time. Everybody rocked big time yesterday, and Ram and Prachi were fabulous.
Now, I want someone to hunt Ranveer down – ok, I will be the Defence Lawyer and this time, I wont charge. 😆
