Sawant has continued to keep his fiance under wraps, but HiTLIST has done it again.
Take a look at the picture alongside. The young girl in them is Shilpa, Abhijeet's fiance, who stays just two blocks away from his building.
These pictures were taken at Sahar airport on Tuesday night, when Sawant was leaving for the US for Himesh Reshammiya's Aap Ka Suroor concerts. Shilpa kept a safe distance from Sawant, but our photographer eventually caught them in the same frame.
Ah, young love!
But we wanted to be sure that the girl in the pictures was indeed Shilpa. So we visited Sawant's colony, Shahu Nagar, in Mahim.
We showed the pictures to a bunch of youngsters who admitted, "This is Shilpa. She stays in G-6 block. In one picture, she is with Abhijeet and his granny. In the other, she is with Abhijeet and his mother."

They don't go to each other's house, but often meet up in the colony and then go out in Abhijeet's car.
We saw them doing this the day before yesterday. We stay in the nearby Matunga labour camp and regularly come to this colony to play football."
Nitin further revealed that Shilpa does not mix with people in the colony. "She prefers to stay indoors. The only time we see her is when she's with Abhijeet."
Staying rooted
But the burning question in our mind is whether Abhijeet will marry Shilpa someday. After all, it's quite possible that name and fame can make him change his heart.
But another guy, Chirag said, "No. He will marry Shilpa. He was involved with her before he was crowned Indian Idol. He is a simple guy and has not left his roots. He has still not left Shahu Nagar."
We then cornered a resident of Shahu Nagar, who identified himself as Vijay. One look at the pictures and he said, "We see her with Abhijeet, and we have heard that they are going to marry soon." |
