It is what many young teenagers crowd around on their computer and tv screens for.
Its a show where WE can connect.
But things start to change.
Shakti aka Kriya is shown exiting the show, hands down the biggest down point because everyone just adored (and still does) the chemistry between Kriyaansh.
It was just so natural and beautiful. But, we all know that "the show must go on".
Hence, the CVs bring in a new entry...named "Taani" and here's where they make mistakes after mistakes.
The biggest mistake ever was to introduce her as a bubbly, cheerful, weird, stalker. The CVs expected us to accept a rainbow while were all mourning over the loss of a fabulous character and actor. Also, we were all sad to see the turmoil and heartbreak that Rey was receiving. We wanted that this 'new girl' would somehow help him, be a little bit mature.
We were expecting someone that could actually handle Rey and be by his side, some what like Kriya but as a good friend (since we are not over KR). But the CVs didn't seem to see that, they showed us a complete opposite of what we were expecting.
Taani was in LOVE with Rey, imagining him everywhere, following him as much as she could. She was introduced as Swayam's sister and later somehow Rey became her babysitter. So, maybe I agree that her character might have needed the support in the beginning but for long??
Then, they tell that she can't dance. So what? She can learn.
BUT! CVs goof up ONCE AGAIN...and show her cheating and lying to be a part of the team...for what? to be with Rey.
Now, the audience who has seen the lead, Kriya, be a truthful and selfless person has to accept someone who is lying and cheating? What were you thinking CVS!???
After that, well we all know what happens...
But I was here to put in my two cents...
This is how I felt that the story should have went after Shakti's exit.
1) Taani would come to Mumbai but as a mature character. Someone who was tormented, maybe a bit depressed or someone with trust problems or anger management...something so that we see a bit of complexity in her character. Also, something should have happened, such as her losing her love or someone close dying or leaving. ANY freaking thing that would have helped the audience connect their and Rey's grief of Rey leaving with her.
2) She could be Swayam's sister but not have a crush on Rey.
I think this was the breaking point of her character. I would not have had Taani fallen in love with Rey, instead she would have been a bit distant to Rey and rude too...the reason being that she would have some kind of a problem due to her breaking past.
3) Rey and Taani as friends. This could have led on to sooo many opportunities for the two to connect with each other. As friends. This would have made me happy as it would be a slow and a beautiful progress instead of forcibly making us accept the relationship.
4) Taani didn't want to think about Dance, didn't want to learn it. Weird na...since I know more than half the audience loves DANCE on this forum haha.
But, for the sake of it, as per my storyline, Taani doesn't want to dance or ever liked dance because someone close to her has had an accident or whatever happen due to it. This could have also made Rey take up the challenge to teach her the dance and I think it would be a great experience to see another point of view. I mean D3 always had good dancers, it would be nice to see some more teaching/practices.
Taani would have came with only grief in her hand and gained Dil, Dosti and Dance.
That was what I was thinking. I wanted someone who could just hold Rey's hand and support him not a full on stalker or a selfish character.
Also, just to ask...on the concept above, would any of you mind if I made a SS on it?** Just to add, no real lovey dovey thing just a journey of overcoming heartbreak as friends**
or please tell me what u would have wanted after Kriya's exit...
