Have been a huge virika fan from the very beginning of this show; however the way things are shaping up and the way cvs are butchering the two characters and their lovestory...I donno bout others but I am just not able to connect. Yes i still love virika but that is only and only coz of KryAn; not because of the scene itself or anything else; its just that KryAn make the scene worth watching period. Everything else about the scene; that is the timing, the logic etc just does not make sense to me which does not allow me to enjoy their scenes to the fullest.
And today's jeeman convo bout love just got me to question two things bout virika; Firstly; What is the essence in virika's relationship?and secondly what is the essence of virika in the show?
Coming to the first part; What is so important in virika's relationship that would make unique and different from others, and honestly I couldnt answer this myself; the only amazing thing about virika is KryAn. What else do we have in virika these days? All we see them is romance and talk romance apart from a few good scenes that are an actual help to the storyline. But apart from those few scenes here and there its usually only and only romance between the two and that too at the worst timing with aweful editting. Now yes i do love watching them romance but there has to be some sort of thing that will tie it back to the essence of the show; because after sometime watching romantic scenes which wouldnt have a continuity factor and nothing else to be tied back to it just brings in a disconnect for the viewers IMO.
When you look at JeeMan and the essence in their story; its clearly there; the sisters live for each other and now manvi's ilness..yes there are times when cvs mess up things but the essence of their relationship is still there. Then coming to virman; where again manvi's ilness plays a huge role...Manvi's ilness was also supposed to play a huge role in virika's life but I dont see that happening; there was an essence in virika's relationship and that was the fact that viren would be the second person in jeevika's life after manvi but apart from one or two scenes here and there where viren shows discomfort in regards to this matter we dont get to see anything else but both of them back to romancing... when jeevika found out the truth we didnt even get proper and lengthy virika scenes of viren comforting her (those scenes were literally less than a minute each) and now manvi was back from such a painful procedure and there we have jeevika blushing and being all lovey dovey with viren ji... I mean how do you even connect to that?
Also in today's episode when jeevika was telling Manvi about all those things bout love and friendship between her and viren; again i couldnt connect; and why? because virika never ever had proper convos or did anything that wud show all these things that jeevika was referring to while even tho i'm not a virman fan I could connect those things to virman;
Then coming to the second part of virika's essence in the storyline...honestly what help do virika even do in the actual storyline...Jeeman are the main story; Virman's lovestory is also tied in to the actual storyline because Manvi is going through the ilness + virat is their to support her in every way he can...but what do virika contribute to the storyline as of now? absolutely nothing that I think of; again i will repeat myself..yes there are a few scenes that make complete sense and are of help to the storyline...however usually the scenes are just put in to make virika's fangroup happy and satisfied...While yes some fans may like just watching random romantic scenes here and there and give positive feedback bout virika to show that virika are appreciated...I dont think I would do that...as it is virika dont even get proper screen space and when theyr shown its a romantic scene that too butchered due to the editting! Yes I totally appreciate KryAn for being THE BEST thing bout virika but at the same time feel bad for them especially Tacker; coz apart from a few scenes here and there he is completely under-utilised!
Lastly; as happy as I am to have viren backk just hoping the retro dance has some logic and sense behind it; but knowing the creatives i wont have any high hopes
Looking forward to your opinions; and feel free to disagree infact it would be nice if anyone could show me the other side of this; atleast I will start enjoying virika completely! used to watch every virika scene loads of times before...but now just watch it once or twice...because honestly am finding nothing new in their scenes as of now...definitely liking KryAn much much much more than virika.
P.S - This is not meant to put down virman/ jeeman or offend their fans just my take on virika's role in the story in comparison to the other two couples in the show
